Want something cheaper than a Surface Pro? The Surface Go has you covered.
We've got all the latest Microsoft Surface Go deals in one place so you can easily get a great discount on Microsoft's cheaper tablet device. If you've been considering a Surface Pro thanks to its tablet / laptop hybrid approach, but can't stretch that far, the Surface Go could be the alternative for you. You'll save some serious cash buying it while still enjoying the slick form factor.
The Surface Go 3 starts at $399.99 for the 64GB model and $629.99 for the 128GB version. You can also consider the older Surface Go 2 but this is a lot harder to find in stock these days. There's also a Surface Go 4 but this device is designed as a business model so isn't pitched to general consumers.
With a lot of choices out there, we're here to help. We also have all the latest tablet deals and laptop deals if you're considering an alternative.

Surface Go 3
Perfect for regular video calls
Display size: 10.5-inch | Resolution: 1920 x 1280 | Dimensions: 245 x 175 x 8.3 mm | Processor: Intel Pentium 6500Y to Intel Core i3 | RAM: 4GB / 8GB | Storage: 64GB / 128GB | Connections: 1x USB-C 3.1, microSD card reader, combi audio jack, Surface Connect port | Front camera: 5MP 1080p HD video | Rear camera: 8MP 1080p HD video | MSRP: $399.99 / $629.99
The Surface Go 3 is the latest version of the Surface Go tablet, and it's improved again on the earlier model. It's gorgeous to look at thanks to being incredibly thin and having a good 10.5-inch 1,920 x 1,280 display. Performance wise, it could be a lot faster compared to the Surface Pro range but it's fine for use on the move.
Adept at video calling, the webcam is a highlight capturing detail in faces well and providing you with an excellent webcam. Ultimately, it's an affordable way of enjoying a Surface device without breaking the bank.
Surface Go 2
Ageing but could be worth tracking down
Display size: 10.5-inch | Resolution: 1920 x 1280 | Dimensions: 245 mm x 175 mm x 8.3 mm | Processor: Intel Pentium 4425Y - Intel Core M3 | RAM: 4GB / 8GB | Storage: 64GB / 128GB | Connections: 1x USB-C, 3.5mm headphone jack, 1x Surface Connect, Surface Type Cover Port, 1x MicroSDXC card reader | Front camera: 5MP 1080p HD video | Rear camera: 8MP 1080p HD video | MSRP: $399.99 / $549.99
The Surface Go 2 is an improvement on the original Surface Go but shows its age when put up against the Surface Go 3. It has a 10.5-inch display and a better battery life than the original model, with dual studio mics and thinner bezels.
These days, you'll likely only be able to find it as a refurbished model rather than new, but there are some good discounts if you look around. Expect the best deals to be on the 128GB model now that the 64GB version is increasingly rare. If you want to keep costs low, it could be worth pursuing but many will find it better to spend the extra for the newer model.
Is the Surface Go worth it?
Even if you've found the cheapest of Surface Pro deals, you'll still be a way off from the Surface Go price. That's why many who can't quiet justify the Pro's prices can easily get the job done with a cheaper Surface Go tablet.
You are dropping down in performance here, but the lowest price you'll find on a Surface Pro is $749 (around $699 on sale). Considering you're still getting that premium form factor, a large 10-inch display, and a processor that will see you through everyday activities with ease it's worth it to scale down if you don't think you'll need all those Pro features.
Is the Surface Go a laptop?
By itself, the Surface Go is a tablet (albeit a tablet running a full Windows operating system like a laptop), which is the tricky business of buying into Microsoft's Surface range. You have to pick up the Type Cover keyboard separately to fully transform your device into a laptop replacement.
The costs do start to add up here, but if you can find Surface Go deals that offer a keyboard bundled into the final price you've hit a great offer. Otherwise, you'll find the lowest prices on these accessories just below.
If you don't need to run the full Windows operating system on your tablet, there are plenty of cheap tablets up for grabs. Or, take a look at the latest iPad deals to compare Apple's offerings.
