Sarah Chaney is a freelance tech writer with five years of experience across multiple outlets. She received her bachelor’s degree in English at the end of 2020, and shortly thereafter left her full-time job to make freelance writing a career.
She started writing with Android Authority and a niche gaming blog, and then moved on to write for more tech sites, including Review Geek (which was eventually merged with How-To Geek), MakeUseOf, and SlashGear. She currently writes for Laptop Mag, Mashable, Tom’s Guide, and of course, TechRadar.
During her career, she’s had the unique pleasure of getting to test out cool pieces of tech, like an arcade machine, an electric skateboard, and a smart boxing system. She’s also reviewed her fair share of robot vacuums, wearables, laptops, security cameras, smart locks, and speakers.
Over the past few years, she’s narrowed down her professional interest in tech to the wide world of PCs, including both laptops and desktops. She’s fascinated by how exponentially tech is improving and how it’ll impact the future of PC-building enthusiasts like herself.
When she's not writing, she's probably playing a video game, reading a cozy mystery novel, or listening to her current favorite song or album on repeat. She also enjoys building LEGO sets, streaming baking shows while puzzling, experimenting with new keycaps and switches, and learning to crochet with the help of adorable Woobles kits.
