With so many shows and movies to choose from on Australia's major streaming services, it can often be difficult to find the best new stuff to entertain yourself with each end of week.

In an effort to make things easier, we've hand-picked the best new shows and movies to watch on Aussie streaming platforms this weekend, covering the likes of Netflix, Disney Plus, Binge, Foxtel Now, Stan, Apple TV Plus and Amazon Prime Video.

Below, you'll find a list of new highlights, with binge-worthy TV shows sitting alongside some great big-budget movie arrivals – and a couple of oddball left-of-field entries, just for some variety.

The weekend brings some hitters to Australia's streaming scene, including the final part of Ozark on Netflix, The Offer on Paramount Plus, and the return of Barry on Binge, along with more Halo and Moon Knight. Here are our streaming picks for the weekend of April 29 - March 1, 2022.

Ozark – Season 4, Part 2 (series finale)

(TV series – available 29/4/2022)

Netflix's award-winning crime drama Ozark comes to a close this weekend, with the streaming service dropping the second (and final) part of season 4. It's been a wild ride for the Byrde family over the course of the show, but now it seems that their money-laundering scheme must come to an end as they attempt to leave the Ozarks for good.

The Offer

(TV series – available 29/4/2022)

It's well-known by cinema buffs that the making of the classic film The Godfather was fraught with behind-the-scenes drama. In fact, it got so bad that the film was almost never made. Now, the Paramount Plus-exclusive series The Offer aims to give us an inside look at the making of this incredible movie. Admittedly, the critics haven't been too kind to the show, but we're still keen to check it out.
