Amazon's Prime Day sale in Singapore has thrown up some incredible deals across a wide range of product categories. But, as I expected, it's headphones that are one of the particular stars of the show. From budget in-ear models all the way through to audiophile-grade over-ear models, there's sure to be a pair for all budgets and personal preferences.

As a headphone reviewer, I feel I have the knowhow to pick out the very best pairs of headphones in the Prime Day sale in Singapore that are genuinely worth your money, and I've listed them below.

If you disagree with my selections – hey, it can happen – then you can click through to view the full selection of Prime Day headphone deals.

Over-ear headphone deals

Sony WH-1000XM5 | SG$569SG$399

Sony WH-1000XM5 | SG$569 SG$399 (save SG$170)

Sony's latest premium pair of headphones are nothing short of outstanding. They deliver a detailed and lively audio performance, which you can hear in virtual isolation thanks to the impressive noise-cancellation technology. At this price, I'd say it's easily one of the best Prime Day headphone deals.

The black model is also discounted to the same price.

Sony WH-1000XM4 | SG$499SG$347.68

Sony WH-1000XM4 | SG$499 from SG$347.68 (save up to SG$151.32)

If you want to save a little extra money, the Sony XM4s are still a terrific buy. There isn't really a huge amount to separate them and their successor (listed above) and, in fact, this pair folds away a little easier, making them slightly better suited for travel. The Midnight Blue model is cheapest, but black and white are just a couple of dollars more, available via the same listing.

Sennheiser Momentum 4 Wireless (black/copper) | SG$499SG$325

Sennheiser Momentum 4 Wireless (black/copper) | SG$499 SG$325 (save up to SG$174)

Coming down even further in price, the Special Edition Sennheiser Momentum 4 Wireless over-ears are another of my standout recommendations. Bettering both Sony pairs in the battery-life stakes, but on par when it comes to sound and comfort, there really isn't a lot to dislike. I can't see these being this affordable soon after Prime Day, so if you've been holding out, now's the time.

Bose QuietComfort Ultra | SG$599SG$479

Bose QuietComfort Ultra | SG$599 SG$479 (save SG$120)

I couldn't complete a headphone roundup without including a pair from Bose. The QC Ultras are the cream of the crop if noise-cancellation is most important to you, They're wonderfully talented in the sonic stakes too, delivering an engaging listen. An Immersive Audio mode will also turn any song into one with spatial audio, although I would say it's not always worth switching on.

All 3 colours are available for the same price.

Bowers & Wilkins Px7 S2 | SG$636AU$511.83
Prime exclusive

Bowers & Wilkins Px7 S2 | SG$636 AU$511.83 (save AU$124.17)

A significant discount makes the B&W S2 over-ears more accessible, which I love to see. They're simply stunning when it comes to detail in songs, and the midrange especially is among the very best. Is their ANC the best? Perhaps not. But they're one of the best-looking pairs of headphones in my opinion, which, for me, more than makes up for it.

In-ear headphone deals

Sennheiser IE600 | SG$1,199SG$733.40

Sennheiser IE600 | SG$1,199 SG$733.40 (save SG$465.60)

This may seem like a steep price for a pair of in-ear headphones, but they're not your run-of-the-mill pair. Capable of unearthing details in your music you never knew existed, they're exceptional at handling all the frequency ranges. They're wired, of course, and you'll do well to pair them with a suitably higher-end source (or at least high-resolution audio via your smartphone or PC) but do so, and you'll never want to take them out.

Sony WF-C500 | SG$139SG$64

Sony WF-C500 | SG$139 SG$64 (save SG$75)

The Sony C500s prove you really don't need to spend a lot of money to get great sound. They were already affordable before this better-than-half-price discount, so at SG$64, they really are a steal. You do miss out on ANC, which could well be a deal breaker for many, but considering they fit snugly in your ears, and can go loud without distortion, you'll likely block out most of the world around without it, anyway.

Only green, white and orange models appear to be left in stock.

Bose QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds | SG$379SG$303

Bose QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds | SG$379 SG$303 (save SG$76)

If you prefer your Bose headphones to be of the in-ear variety, then the Ultras are once again the route I'd choose. They have gone lower in price, but this is still a discount not to be sniffed at. Delivering a delightful, superb sound, truly effective ANC and a new Immersive Audio feature, there's very little they can't do.

Sennheiser CX True Wireless | SG$199SG$89

Sennheiser CX True Wireless | SG$199 SG$89 (save SG$110)

Another example of great sound at an affordable price (especially with this huge SG$110 saving) the CX True Wireless in-ears will make many people happy. There's no noise cancellation, but what they lack in that area, they make up for with an excellent audio performance and battery life, and the companion app is one of the best in the business.
