Jyri Huopaniemi

Jyri Huopaniemi is heading Technology Licensing at Nokia Technologies, responsible for the Technology Licensing business, including R&D, product management, sales, marketing, business development and strategy. Previously he has held innovation, product and R&D positions within Technology Licensing, Digital Media and New Product Development in Nokia Technologies. Formerly he has lead Imaging Business at Nokia Technologies and has held the position of Director and Head of Nokia Research Center Media Technologies Laboratory. Jyri has 25 years of experience in developing and productizing breakthrough multimedia and software technologies, and leading business, R&D teams and large organizations. He joined Nokia in 1998 and has held several leadership and expert positions in the fields of multimedia technology, mobile applications and user interfaces and interaction. Jyri received his doctoral degree from Helsinki University of Technology in 1999.
