Sammy has been covering computing, Raspberry Pi, 3D printing, 3D scanning, and 3D modeling since 2017.

Over the years, he has contributed technical articles to a number of websites like MakeUseOf and Tom's Hardware, where his main focus has been on general technology and detailed how-tos. He is good at breaking down complex topics in a clear and easily digestible manner, helping readers to not only understand the concepts but also apply them.

His experience with computers began when he got his first computer, and his curiosity led him to dismantle and reassemble it. The joy he had through that experience fueled his desire to learn more about computer hardware and software. He has built PCs, tested various computer components, used Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems, and he has a deep understanding of their ins and outs.

In addition to writing on computers, he also writes on 3D printing technology, and he owns five 3D printers (thee FDM and two resin-based), and he has contributed to 3D printing websites like All3dp, 3Dsourced, and 3Dwithus. You will find him designing and 3D printing random functional files at home, and he has written many guides on how to solve the common 3D printing problems for the 3D printing how-to section of Tom's Hardware.

Recently, he acquired a Raspberry Pi 5, which he obtained in order to create 3D printing timelapses and monitor his 3D printer remotely. Later, he realized that he could use it for other interesting projects and so far he has created impressive projects with it.

Sammy holds a Bachelor's of Science degree in Information Technology, and he is currently pursuing a Master's degree in the same field.

When he is not writing, you will find him spending his leisure time cycling through the hills of Nakuru.
