Black Friday TV deals 2024 FAQs

When is Black Friday?

Black Friday 2024 takes place on Friday, November 29. The actual date shifts, but the day of the week stays the same: it's always the Friday after Thanksgiving.

While that's the official date, we should see Black Friday TV deals pop up as early as October, thanks to the 2nd Amazon Prime Day sale, which kicks off the Black Friday shopping season.

When do Black Friday TV deals start?

While Black Friday proper is on November 29, deals start much earlier than that, thanks to a trend of retailers launching early sales in recent years. In fact, in 2022, Amazon held an inaugural 2nd Prime Day sale in October, which initiated the Black Friday shopping season. Retailers like Best Buy, Walmart, and Target launched competing sales, and unsurprisingly, they all offered impressive TV deals.

That means you no longer have to wait until November 29 to score a Black Friday TV deal. Early sales have proven that you can find record-low prices on 4K, QLED, and OLED displays from all the top retailers. In fact, last year, Best Buy had a Black Friday price match guarantee, which stated that if an item's price goes lower during the holiday season, Best Buy will match it.

The best way to find early Black Friday TV deals is to bookmark this guide. The team at TechRadar and I check retailers daily and cover all the early sales to bring you the best Black Friday TV deals as soon as they become available.

What Black Friday TV deals can you expect?

TVs are one of the most popular sale categories during Black Friday, thanks to record-low prices on a range of displays. Whether you're looking for a budget big-screen TV or a high-end OLED display, Black Friday will have you covered.

So, what Black Friday TV deals can we expect at this year's sale? We anticipate significant discounts on 2024 releases from brands like Samsung, LG, and Sony. Specific premium models that we have our eye on include Samsung's S90D and S95D OLED and the all-new FRAME QLED TV. The LG C4 and Sony's Bravia 8 OLED are also on our radar and should drop to new record lows.

If you're interested in a budget display, there will be plenty of offers available. In fact, some of the most popular deals during Black Friday include cheap TVs from brands like Hisense, TCL, and Amazon's Fire TV lineup. You can grab 65-inch 4K smart TVs for as little as $250 from retailers like Walmart, Best Buy, and Amazon. You'll have to act quickly, though; retailers typically only release a limited amount of ridiculously priced TVs. The good news is these offers are usually advertised beforehand, and this guide will break down when early sales start, what deals will be available, and if they're worth buying.
