Black Friday vacuum deals 2024: we've rounded up the very best early sales
Your guide to which Black Friday vacuum deals are worth buying
We're less than two weeks from the big day (29 November), so if you're hoping for a Black Friday vacuum deal, it's time to get organized. The Black Friday sales include pretty much everything, but vacuums are always well represented. In this article we're rounding up all the best deals, as soon as they go live.
In the US right now we seem to be experiencing a bit of a lull. Following some really show-stopping deals in early November, at most retailers we're back to a handful of not-great deals on models from obscure brands. We strongly suspect things are gearing up for the 'proper' Black Friday vacuum deals, which we predict will go live in time for the weekend. In the UK, things are proceeding in a more traditional way: with the sales getting increasingly better as the month goes on.
On this page you'll find options for a range of different needs and budgets, focusing on models we've tested ourselves and can confidently recommend. If you're not sure what you're looking for, our guides to the best vacuums overall, the best cordless vacuums (for those who don't want to be tethered to a power outlet) and the best Shark vacuums (widely considered to offer the best performance to price ratio) are good places to start.
This article is for manual vacuums; browse the best Black Friday robot vacuum deals if you'd prefer a less hands-on option.

Today's best vacuum deals in the US
The Detect Pro is one of the newest and most effective Shark vacuums, combining effective cleaning with useful smart features. In our Shark Detect Pro cordless vacuum review, we were impressed with its ability to adjust suction based on how dirty the floor is, whether its on hard floor or carpet, and whether it's near the edge of a room. This is not quite the cheapest we've seen it – it briefly dropped to $179.99 at Lowes earlier in November – but it's still an outstanding price.
Best Buy price: $199.99
Amazon price: $199.99
We rate the V11 as the best Dyson vacuum for balance of price to features, and right now it's cheaper than it ever has been at Amazon. There's powerful suction, an ultra-maneuverable floorhead, and useful features like an LCD information screen and an auto mode that adjusts based on how dirty the floor is, for an efficient and low-effort clean. The hair screw tool is perfect for tackling hair on furniture.
Best Buy price: $399.99
The V8 is a slightly older Dyson, but still very capable. As we explain in our Dyson V8 review, it's super maneuverable, packs some good suction power, and is much lighter in hand than newer models, too. With $220 off list price, it's great value for money right now.
This slightly weird looking corded stick vacuum has a $20 discount ahead of Black Friday, which sounds a little underwhelming, but it's still a very low price. As a rule, corded vacuums have more power than cordless ones, plus you'll never have to worry about running out of battery. The motor section comes off and clips to the base so you can store it freestanding, and it comes with Shark's dedicated pet tool for getting fur off furniture.
The Digital Slim looks like a stealthy new launch from Dyson, designed as a lighter and more streamlined stick vacuum option. This half-off deal is the first discount it's had, and looks like excellent value for money. It still has up to 40 minutes of battery, a super-effective filter, and Dyson's powerful motor.
The V15 Detect is one of Dyson's newest and most advanced vacuum cleaners. In our V15 Detect review, we were impressed with this vacuum's dirt detection capabilities (it'll show you exactly what it's sucking up, and when the floor is clear of dust, on its screen as you clean). There's also a laser on the hard floor attachment to illuminate hidden dirt. That kind of tech doesn't come cheap, but it's a little more affordable with $150 off for Black Friday.

With £100 off, this Henry deal matches its lowest ever price. It's rare we see it this cheap, and it's great value at this price. In our Henry Quick review we found this vacuum "strong, powerful, low-maintenance and easy on the eye". It's bagged, which won't suit everyone, but it does mean you won't have to deal with clouds of dust and allergens escaping back into the air when you empty it.
John Lewis price: £199
The V10 is an older Dyson vacuum that's had a major discount ahead of Black Friday. The 'Total Clean' bit refers to the complete range of tools and accessories included, making this model in particular ultra-versatile. In our Dyson Cyclone V10 review we found this vacuum powerful and well designed, but noted that it's only really worth buying if you find a good discount – which this is.
The V15 Detect is one of Dyson's most advanced cordless vacuums. In our V15 Detect review, we were impressed with its dirt detection feature – on its screen, the V15 shows you exactly what it's sucking up, and when the floor is clear of dust. There's also a laser on the hard floor attachment to illuminate dirt that might get missed. And of course, it's ultra powerful with a long battery life, too. It's still an investment, but a little more affordable with £150 off for Black Friday.
John Lewis price: £499
The Stratos is one of Shark's most powerful cordless vacuums in terms of suction, making it a great choice for those with lots of carpet, or pet hair to tackle. In our Shark Stratos Cordless Stick Vacuum review we awarded it an almost-perfect 4.5*. This one comes with a dedicated pet tool, and an extra battery that you can hot-swap in.
The V8 is an older Dyson, but still extremely capable, and ridiculously good value with this early Black Friday deal. We're not sure what the 'Advanced' bit refers to, because it looks identical to the regular V8, which you can read all about in our Dyson V8 review. This deal is also the cheapest V8, of any configuration, we've found.
This Samsung stick vac promises strong suction, up to an impressive 60 minutes of cleaning on a single charge, and an extra pet tool for getting your upholstery fluff-free. As a budget-friendly option it's a strong recommendation, and this £30 off deal makes it even more affordable. You can also claim an extra 3 years on your 2-year guarantee as part of this deal.
The Submarine is unique in the Dyson lineup in that it's a two-in-one wet and dry cleaner, thanks to swappable floorheads. It's still expensive – even with this £150 off Black Friday deal – but worth it for the versatility and space-saving benefits of being able to tackle two cleaning tasks in one appliance. Head to our Dyson V15s Detect Submarine review to find out what we thought of it.
Dyson price: £649.99
There's £150 off the top-of-the-range Gen5detect cordless vacuum for Black Friday. This vacuum is ultra powerful and boasts the longest battery life you'll find anywhere, with up to 70 minutes on a single charge. You'll also get automatic suction adjustment based on dirt levels, and a bright laser than means you'll never miss a spot on your hard floors.

Black Friday vacuum deals: FAQs
When will the Black Friday vacuum deals start in 2024?
Black Friday is on 29 November 2024, but long gone are the years when it was just a one-day event. Typically, the sales tend to really kick in around mid-November, and many retailers will doing a 'Black Friday week' starting from Monday 25th, or possibly the weekend preceding it.
However, in the US this year things are looking a little different. We saw some really strong discounts in the first couple of weeks in November, then hit a bit of a lull in the third week of the month, with only a handful of decent offers available.
In the UK, deals were relatively few and weak at the start of the month, and they're getting increasingly better the closer we get to Black Friday.
Dyson launched an early sale at the start of November (across the US and UK) and Shark UK launched 'Black Friday exclusives' in the first week of the month, too.
The Black Friday offers morph into Cyber Monday deals (this year, 2 December).
Is Black Friday the best time to buy a vacuum cleaner?
Probably. While vacuum deals pop up throughout the year, no other shopping event is so widely participated in as the Black Friday sales, which means you can expect the biggest variety of deals, and retailers all trying to outdo each other to win your custom. Some brands will likely use the event to offer all-time low prices, too, or as an opportunity to run down stock on older (but still good quality) models.
Where will I find the best Black Friday vacuum deals?
It's safe to expect pretty much every major brand and reputable retailer to have some kind of Black Friday sale. We'd generally recommend figuring out the vacuum you want, then shopping around to find where it's on sale for the lowest price.
In the US, Amazon, Best Buy, Walmart and Target are some of the best places to shop for vacuum deals. UK shoppers should check places like John Lewis, Currys and Argos, as well as Amazon. It's also worth looking at your chosen brand's own website – there will be deals direct at Dyson and Shark for sure.
What Black Friday vacuum deals can I expect in 2024?
Expect to see strong discounts from market-leading brands like Shark and Dyson, as well as the likes of Bissel, Henry and Tineco. The smartest way to shop the Black Friday vacuum deals is to use them to get a really good quality vacuum for a lower price. However, if you're on a tight budget, you could also head to Amazon where you'll find no-name brand vacuums for ultra-low prices – and perhaps the occasional older Shark model thrown in.
The focus will likely be on cordless stick vacuums, but you will also be able to find offers on uprights and handhelds, if that's what you're after.
