FAQs
Does HONOR offer a student discount?
Yes, HONOR offers a 10% student discount through its website. It also offers a Youth discount for non-students aged between 16 and 26, and you just need to get verified with a valid photo ID, student ID or academic email address to get 10% off all products.
Can you return a HONOR phone if you don't like it?
HONOR has a 14-day returns policy if you don't like your device and want to return it. This starts the day after you accept delivery. For older phones, you can take advantage of the company's trade-in programme to make savings.
Are HONOR phones worth it?
Yes, there are some good HONOR devices and they rival big tech giants like Samsung and Apple. We've given positive reviews to quite a few of their products, but it's worth researching each one on a case-by-case basis to see if it works for you.
Is it safe to buy a HONOR phone?
Yes, HONOR phones are safe. Due to Huawei's ban in the UK, US and other markets, it's been wrongly assumed that HONOR phones are dangerous. But this restricted international presence means their devices are often overlooked and you can get a good deal on one.
What's HONOR's trade-in program like?
You can trade in your old device when you buy a HONOR one. When you trade a phone in, you'll get cash and a discount code you can use on a HONOR device. The trade-in programme is handled by a company called Recommerce. You simply share some details about your old device and they find out the value of it. You then accept your trade-in bonus and send your old device to Recommerce within 15 days. You'll then receive payment through a bank transfer in two days. After that, you'll get a HONOR trade-in bonus discount that you can apply to get a discount on their products. You can apply this on a product's webpage.
Does HONOR have free delivery?
It varies. HONOR charges for delivery if your order total is lower than £99.99. For standard delivery, HONOR charges £4 for items under that threshold. HONOR also offers next-working-day delivery, but to qualify for that, you'll need to send your order before 4 PM, Monday through Friday.
Hints and Tips
Use HONOR's youth discount: You don't need to be a student to benefit from a discount. If you're between 16 and 26, you can get a 10% discount when you share a valid ID with HONOR. Valid ID includes a passport, student ID or driving license.
Use HONOR's trade-in programme: If your device is worth trading in, HONOR's trade-in programme gets you cash and a discount on their website. That means you'll get some money to spend and savings to apply to the HONOR store, which is perfect if you're planning to get one of their devices anyway. HONOR's trade-in programme can also accept broken or damaged products, so it's worth trying this. If you have some old, malfunctioning tech, you can recycle it and potentially get a discount.
Try HONOR's value tool: If you're thinking of trading in your old phone, HONOR's trade-in value tool is a good way to assess its value. Even if it's not worth anything, HONOR's trade-in partner, Recommerce, will recycle it for free.
How we source voucher codes
At TechRadar, we have a number of tools at our disposal to help us find the latest voucher codes. Our Vouchers team uses connections with big name brands, our affiliate networks, and the world wide web to source the latest & best codes for our pages. Each page is updated multiple times a week with sales info, exclusive codes negotiated by our Commercial team, and a number of ways to save on your next online order.
How we test voucher codes
Every code listed on TechRadar is tested before it’s added to our pages by our Vouchers team. We include a range of offers including student discounts, sale prices, free shipping, & more across a number of categories of products & services. Each code is checked to ensure it is accepted at the checkout, and you won’t find any one-time use or user-specific codes.
The expiry date and any terms & conditions of each code are also displayed on the page, next to or below the ‘Get Code’ button, for added clarity. Click the text that reads ‘Terms & Conditions’ to expand the corresponding area, where you can read more about any requirements your order will need to meet in order for your chosen coupon to be accepted.
What to do if a voucher code doesn’t work
We take the utmost care to verify every code before it’s uploaded, and include as much relevant information as we can find to make using our codes as straightforward as possible. However, sometimes codes expire or are amended before we’re able to refresh our pages, and codes may not work as intended.
Should you experience any issues, it’s always best to start by checking the terms & conditions on the page. Click “View terms and conditions” and the code area will expand. You’ll see all applicable criteria listed in this area. For example, you may not meet a required minimum spend (i.e. spend £20 or more); you may not have enough times in your basket (e.g. you have only selected 2 products when trying to redeem a 3 for 2 multibuy offer), or your chosen offer may only apply to a certain type of product (i.e. 10% off laptops).
If issues persist once you’ve checked that you’ve met any necessary requirements, you can get in touch with our support team by emailing coupons.techradar@futurenet.com. Please provide as much detail about your issue as possible - including which code you used and where you found it - and we’ll be in touch to provide support as soon as we can.
How we make money
All the money TechRadar makes through its voucher pages is earned through a commission-based model. We have deals in place with every retailer that has a voucher page on our site, and every time someone makes a purchase using one of our codes, we earn a percentage of the total basket value back in commission.
Thanks to this model, we can offer all of our codes & discounts completely free of charge. You’ll never be asked to pay a fee to redeem an offer on our site - all you’ll pay is the discounted price of the products or services you’ve chosen to buy.
If you want to find out more about TechRadar’s voucher pages, you can visit our dedicated page on How We Source Voucher Codes and How to Use Them for more information.

About Honor
HONOR is a Chinese smart device company that was established in 2013. It's become a global tech brand specialising in smartphone, tablet, wearable and mobile software development. The company was owned by Huawei before the corporation sold its stake in 2020. We've reviewed our favourite HONOR phones previously, and we gave its popular mobile phone, the Honor Magic 6 Pro, a glowing review. In just a few years, the company has gained a reputation for making innovative, exciting tech products for everyday consumers. While its products are available from numerous places, the HONOR store could be your best bet, as it has store-exclusive discounts, offers, trade-in deals and coupons you can benefit from today.
