Are there any cheaper options?

If a full mattress is out of your budget, even with a discount, another option is to go for a topper. One of the best mattress toppers can completely transform the feel of an old bed, and Saatva has a few to choose from. Wondering which is right for you? We have a full rundown in our guide 'which Saatva mattress topper should I buy?':

Which Saatva mattress should you choose?

Saatva mattresses focus on relieving pressure so that you have a more comfortable sleep, regardless of the position you drift off in. They are designed to promote neutral spinal alignment to protect your posture during sleep.

All Saatva mattresses also offer high levels of motion isolation. That makes them a good choice for couples where one of them is a restless sleeper and prone to waking the other up with their in-bed tossing and turning.

Firmness is also a big factor when picking the right mattress, and many of Saatva’s models come in a range of firmness levels from Soft to Firm. The Saatva Classic is the cheapest model to offer this, while the Saatva Solaire smart mattress takes it to the extreme by offering 50 different firmness levels.

Combining responsive, body-cradling memory foam, supportive coils and a breathable sleep surface, the flagship Saatva Classic Mattress (priced from $1,295) provides advanced back and joint support. At the time of writing, the Classic has scored an average rating of 4.9 out of 5 stars generated from over 2,000 user reviews published on the company's website. Alternatively, the Saatva Memory Foam Hybrid (priced from $1,195) again combines foam and springs, with triple cooling and a responsive feel; it's rated 5 out of 5 on the brand's site (albeit out of just nine reviews)

The Saatva Loom & Leaf Mattress (priced from $1,595) is your best bet if you enjoy the body hugging sensation of all-foam mattresses. This one does away with coils, relying on a combination of “ultra-premium 5lb memory foam” and cooling, gel-infused foam to provide maximum spinal support and pressure-point relief. In our Saatva Loom & Leaf mattress review, we found it to be an excellent alternative to a Tempur-Pedic for anyone seeking pressure relief and pain management, with minimal motion transfer; however, we also noted that it doesn't always sleep cool.

The Loom & Leaf also scores an average rating of 4.9 out of 5 stars, generated from over 500 user reviews on Saatva’s website. For a much cheaper all-foam model, read our guide to the best Nectar mattress sales and deals. For deep pressure relief and cooling comfort during sleep, read our guide to the best Tempur-Pedic mattress sales and deals.

Saatva mattress sales, deals and discounts: The Saatva Solaire Customizable Smart Mattress

For a truly eco-friendly sleep, choose the Saatva Latex Hybrid Mattress (priced from $1,495). It’s built entirely from sustainably sourced materials yet still delivers the cloud-like comfort and pressure-relieving support most people need to feel comfortable enough to fall asleep and stay asleep throughout the night. At the time of writing there are only 18 user reviews available to look at on Saatva’s website, and between them they generate an average rating of 4.9 out of 5 stars.

An alternative latex option is the Saatva Zenhaven Natural Latex Mattress (priced from $1,995), which is a really versatile choice as you can flip it, depending on whether you want a gently firm feel or more of a luxury plush sleep experience. It's made with natural latex and organic cotton and wool, and its zoned construction gives you lower back support and pressure point relief. You'll find it at the top our best organic mattress guide, and it's currently rated 4.9 out of 5 on the Saatva site, based on 228 reviews.

The Solaire Customizable Mattress (priced from $3,295) is a smart mattress in luxury clothing. It’s also rated 4.9 out of 5 on the Saatva website and offers 50 individual firmness settings on each side (available on the queen size or larger) so that you can find the precise amount of firmness you need to feel as comfy as possible when lying down. It can also be adjusted up and down to help you explore a range of positions to relieve pressure on your body.

Meanwhile, the best Saatva mattress deal for people with heavier bodies is always found on the Saatva HD mattress (priced from $1,995), simply because this is the brand’s first-ever model designed for bigger bodies. The HD delivers support across five different pressure zones. Saatva’s installation experts will also deliver it to your room of choice so it’s ready to sleep on straight away.

Whichever model you pick, you can buy it in a choice of sizes and test it out for up to a full year at home. The only downside is that Saatva charges a $99 fee for you to return or exchange your Saatva — most brands usually offer free returns. On the flip side, Saatva includes complimentary in-home delivery and optional removal of your existing mattress.

If a full Saatva mattress is out of your budget, but you like the look of this brand, you could opt for one of its toppers. We were impressed in our Saatva Foam Mattress Topper review, but if that one doesn't sound quite right for you, there are also latex and sprung options.

To keep your new Saatva in tip-top condition, don't forget to invest in one of the best mattress protectors for safeguarding your bed against spills, stains and germs.

Saatva also makes a range of luxury and organic bedding, including comforters, sheets, pillows made with organic and natural materials (see our Saatva Down Alternative Pillow review for an example), and some of the best mattress toppers. We were impressed in our Saatva Foam Mattress Topper review, but if that one doesn't sound quite right for you, there's also the Saatva Graphite Mattress Topper (priced from $325).

With some mattress manufacturers, you expect their cheapest offering to be adequate at best. But that's not the case with the Saatva Classic. In fact, such is the premium quality of this memory foam and coil hybrid that it's won a variety of industry awards, as well as earning an almost maximum score from customer reviews and experts alike.

The Saatva Classic is made using 884 individually pocketed steel coils designed to cradle your body during sleep to help it feel hugged and supported. Pressure-relieving high-density memory foam and a quilted 3” Euro pillow top ensure it’s comfy from the moment you lie down to the moment you get out of bed. It’s breathable and helps regulate in-bed temperature, so you shouldn’t overheat when sleeping in it. Don’t expect the chilled performance of a proper cooling mattress though, so look elsewhere if you are dealing with night sweats or hot flashes.

We’d recommend the Saatva Classic to all sleepers who want a handcrafted hybrid mattress of exceptional quality for less. This is your chance to enjoy plush hotel-level comfort in your own bedroom, night after night for years to come.

MSRPs range from $1,2955 for a twin to $2,790 for a split Cal king. (Those respective prices drop to $1,101 and $2,372 in the current Saatva mattress sale.) However, you need to keep an eye on prices as Saatva changes them regularly depending on the time of year. The cheapest we have seen the Saatva sell for was $1,199 back in February 2022. Remember though, if you were to buy a mattress of this premium handcrafted quality in-store, you’d pay far more for it.

If you love the feeling of sinking into a mattress and letting it ease pressure on your body as soon as you lie down to relax or sleep, then the Loom & Leaf is sure to strike a chord. If there's one thing that's going to help you sleep naturally, it's a mattress that's made from organic materials. The Saatva Latex Hybrid Mattress is one such product, comprising a range of eco-friendly components that are designed to give you the healthiest, most comfortable sleep imaginable. Its layer of individually wrapped, recycled steel coils will contour your curves while maintaining airflow throughout the mattress. There's a 3” layer of five-zone natural latex for superior pressure-point relief. And a layer of organic, antimicrobial New Zealand wool will regulate your body temperature for extra breathability.

50 firmness settings on each side

Delivery can take up to 3 weeks

When it comes to sleeping, we all have our own preferences. Some of us like a soft mattress, others prefer something firmer. Some sleep better with their upper body propped up, while other people can only drift off if they're laid out flat. Saatva must've had this in mind when it created the Solaire Customizable Mattress, a top-of-the-range bed-topper that features an extraordinary range of personalization options.

Not only can each bed partner select from 50 different firmness options (available on the queen size and upwards); for an additional fee you can choose a 'split-top' design that'll enable one or both of you to sleep with your head in a raised position. With premium-quality materials on every level, the Solaire is your first-class ticket to the land of nod.

As with the above mattresses, the Solaire is regularly offered at a discount price, so if you miss this current Saatva mattress sale, there's sure to be another chance to get it cheaper soon. (The next major shopping holiday is Presidents' Day, and that's bound to yield some deep discounts on mattresses.)

Do I need a Saatva mattress discount code?

Saatva has made it as easy as possible for customers to buy one of these mattresses for less. There's no Saatva discount code to input when you make a purchase – simply add your chosen mattress to your shopping basket, head to the checkout and your discount will be applied automatically when you pay. However, you may also be able to find Saatva coupons that can save you money.

Your mattress will be delivered and installed in your bedroom of choice as part of the price you pay, but Saatva does charge a $99 fee if you want to exchange for a different model or return the mattress for a refund within the 365-night trial period.

When are the best Saatva mattress sales?

November – the month of Black Friday and Cyber Monday – really is the month to watch if you want the cheapest Saatva mattress prices and with a good discount too. That's quite a way off, though, so the next big opportunity for a serious Saatva deal will be the Presidents' Day mattress sales in late February, while other sales that are particularly abundant for cheap Saatva mattresses include the Memorial Day mattress sales in May, July 4 sales, and of course September’s Labor Day mattress sale. We've also seen strong deals outside of wider sales events. Recently we had an exclusive offer that knocked $400 off orders of $1,000 or more.

As with any brand, the thing to watch for is the pricing, because mattresses are cheaper at certain times of the year compared to others. Summer is generally the most expensive time to buy, while autumn / fall and winter are better. Saatva mattress prices remain at the highest they have been all year. It can also be slightly difficult to compare Saatva deals, because they often vary by model, or how much you spend.

Whenever you decide to buy, be reassured that you'll almost always be getting decent value for money with a Saatva – it's a lot cheaper than many of its luxury hybrid competitors, some of which cost over well $2,000.

Saatva Black Friday mattress sales 2024: Our predictions

The Black Friday mattress deals and Cyber Monday mattress deals at the end of November typically bring with them the lowest prices of the year. So what do we expect to see in the 2024 event?

Recently, Saatva has been pretty consistent with its deals. For most of 2023, the brand has offered either tiered discounts or 15% off orders over $1,000. These two offers result in roughly similar pricing on many models.

However, in the sales events that typically accompany national holidays (like Memorial Day or the 4th of July sales), we often had a special link that bumped up the discount to get shoppers $400 or occasionally even $500 off all orders over $1,000. You could unlock these discounts by heading to the Saatva website via the links on TechRadar. In 2023, we had a $400 off offer for Black Friday.

In 2024, we're hoping to see $500 off orders over $1,000 for Black Friday, but it might be more realistic to expect the $400 off discount to reappear instead. Note that MSRP has increased since last year, so we're unlikely to see historic low prices, as you can see from the price history below.

Saatva Black Friday mattress sale price history

Saatva Classic, queen size
Offer202320222021
TechRadar deal$1,595$1,395$1,345
General Black Friday deal$1,695$1,570$1,356
General Cyber Monday deal$1,695$1,595$1,356
MSRP$1,995$1,795$1,595

For Black Friday 2023, there were two deals in the mix. The general offer knocked up to $600 off, with bigger discounts on higher-priced models. The Classic had $200 to $350 off. On Cyber Monday, it was the same deals, extended. However, throughout the period we ran a semi-exclusive offer that knocked $400 off all orders over $1,000.

How does that compare to Saatva Black Friday deals from previous years? For Black Friday 2022, it was a similar situation: the general offer knocked between $225 and $500 off the full range, with price drops across the full lineup of adult beds, and bigger discounts on higher-priced models. The Classic had $225 or $250 off. On Cyber Monday the discounts got a little less – there was $200 off cheaper models, up to a maximum savings of $500, and the Classic was either $200 off or $250 off. That offer ran for a full week. Throughout the whole period, we ran a second (better) offer, which knocked a blanket $400 off all purchases of $1,000 or over.

In 2021, we secured an exclusive $250 saving on orders worth $1,000 or more. With $250 off, the price of a queen size Saatva Classic was reduced to $1,345 (MSRP at that time, $1,595). Alternatively, there was 10% off everything (for lower-value orders), or 15% off orders of $2,750 or more.

Using the queen sized classic as a benchmark, the 2021 pricing wasn't the lowest we'd seen from Saatva by any stretch – it was $1,199 in February 2021. For Black Friday and Cyber Monday 2020, the prices were better too – a  queen-sized Saatva Classic cost almost $150 less in those sales compared to the 2021 event. Note, however, that compared to what you would pay for comparable luxury mattresses in store, Saatva's handcrafted range is well-priced with or without a Black Friday or Cyber Monday discount.

Whatever happens for the 2024 event, we'll be rounding up the best Saatva mattress discounts right here, so bookmark this page for the latest savings until you're ready to buy.
