The best Verizon deals for August 2024: free iPhones, new Pixel 9, freebies, and more

Verizon's just brought back its best-ever deal on the iPhone 15 this week. Not only can you get the device itself for free alongside a new line on an Unlimited Ultimate plan but the carrier is also throwing in a free iPad 10,2 and Apple Watch SE. Note that you can also trade-in an old device for a discount of up to $830, which is also eligible with the slightly cheaper Unlimited Plus plan. If you claim your freebies, you'll also need to pay extra for the associated accessory cellular lines, which costs $5/mo for the watch and $10/mo for the tablet. 

This deal is also available on the iPhone 15 Plus.

Apple iPhone 15 Pro: $820 off with a new unlimited data plan, plus free iPad and Apple Watch
And, you'll find those same excellent Verizon deals on the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max - if you'd prefer a more premium device. The headline deal on these stunning phones is the massive $820 discount you can get alongside a new unlimited data line right now - a saving that isn't tied to the usual trade-in rebate. You can also bundle in a free iPad 10.2 and Apple Watch SE right now, which is the best 'freebies' deal we've seen on the device so far. Note, however, that you do need to pay for those additional accessory cellular lines if you claim them.

Apple iPhone 14 Plus: free with an unlimited data plan, plus free iPad and Apple Watch
Verizon's deals on the latest iPhone 15 series are definitely the headline offerings but don't discount the carrier's promotions on the older models. Both the iPhone 14 Plus and iPhone 14 are available for free right now with a new unlimited data line. The plan criteria needed to get the 14-series devices for free is a little looser than on the 15 series - meaning you don't need one of the super-expensive plans to be eligible for this deal.

Google Pixel 9 series: $620 off with a new line or up to $800 off with a trade, plus free watch at Verizon
If you're interested in the latest Google Pixel 9 series you'll find superb Verizon deals across the board right now. First up is the usual trade-in rebate of up to $800 off, which is currently the biggest saving you'll find at the carrier. If you're not eligible for a trade, then you can still get yourself a respectable $620 alongside a Plus or Ultimate plan - which is enough to bring the standard Google Pixel 9 down to just $5 per month. Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold: save up to $899.99 with a trade-in or a new Unlimited plan

Unlike with other similar promotions at other carriers you can keep your phone number with this deal.

Switch: get $540 when you bring your own device
Don't want a new device? No problem - Verizon also offers up to $540 promo credit for those who bring their device over from a rival carrier. Note that this credit is applied over 36 months and only applies to unlimited data plans. You'll also need to be on the Unlimited Plus plan to get the full amount (you'll get $180 with the Unlimited Plus plan).

Plan deal: students save up to $25/mo with unlimited plans
Verizon offers a hefty discount for actively enrolled students, with a saving of up to $25 per month on the Welcome Unlimited plan. From the small print, it appears that you can have up to two lines with this promo and it also applies if you bring your own device. You will, however, need to log in to prove your eligibility.

Verizon's deals on its home internet packages are usually a revolving door of freebies, bonuses, and gift cards - and this week is no different.
