This great-value orthopaedic mattress is even cheaper right now
Head to Origin right now for a generous discounts on an already well-priced mattress
The Origin Hybrid Mattress is the brand's only mattress, made from a combination of foams, coils and the brand's proprietary HexaGrid orthopaedic layer. It's particularly suited to back and stomach sleepers, as well as those of a heavier weight due to its firmer feel. Right now you can save up to 40% off the mattress, with an extra 5% off any added pillow purchases. This brings a mid-range mattress down into almost budget territory.
This is a great chance to grab a bargain ahead of the Black Friday mattress deals, particularly if you're looking for a firmer mattress that offers decent orthopaedic support. It's one of the best hybrid mattresses out there, offering zoned support and excellent pressure relief. In our Origin Mattress Review, we rated it highly for temperature regulation and motion isolation as well.

Origin Hybrid mattress
Double size: was £619 now £369 at Origin
Overview: The Origin Hybrid is a 25cm hybrid mattress made from the brand's HexaGrid, wool, graphite infused foam, bamboo foam and pocket springs all wrapped up in a bamboo Tencel cover. We rate the mattress as 8/10, meaning it's particularly suited to back, stomach and heavier weight sleepers. Side sleepers are likely to find it too firm.
Price history: You shouldn't pay full price for an Origin Mattress as the brand has regular sales and discounts running throughout the year. We've seen regular discounts of 40% and sometimes even 50% around major sales events. We're not quite sure what to expect from Origin on Black Friday – the brand has only been going for a couple of years, it wasn't on our radar last November.
Extras: Origin offers a 200-night trial, which is a decent length of time to see if you like the mattress. There's also a 15-year warranty and, if you buy pillows alongside the mattress, you'll get an extra 5% off these.
Buy it if...
✅ You want a good quality mattress for a bargain price: Origin's discounts make its mattress really good value for money – you're getting a quality firm orthopaedic mattress for an almost budget price.
✅ You sleep on your stomach or back: The firmer feel of the Origin makes it a winner for stomach sleepers, who will feel that their hips are lifted and their spines aligned. Back sleepers should enjoy the spinal alignment as well.
✅ You share a bed: The plush layers of foam and HexaGrid do an excellent job of isolating motion, particularly considering the firmer feel of this mattress.
Don't buy it if...
❌ You sleep on your side: The firmer feel of the Origin mattress could aggravate pressure points at the shoulders and hips. The all-foam Emma mattress offers a softer feel for side sleepers, and there's 30% off the version with the upgraded cover right now.
❌ You prefer a memory foam hug: If you want a mattress that you sink into, the Origin isn't it. A mattress with a softer top layer like the DreamCloud Luxury Hybrid will give you more of a contouring feel. This model currently has 57% off (which is a pretty standard discount for this brand, but still a great price).
❌ You want to sit on the edge of the bed: The Origin's edge support is a bit of a mixed bag – slightly firmer in the middle of the mattress but softer around the edges. This makes sitting on it a little bit tricky.
