Black Friday laptop deals will be here before you know it - especially as we're quickly closing in on November. From now onwards you can expect plenty of early deals on everything from the latest MacBooks to super-cheap Chromebooks. We'll of course be rounding everything up here with distinct sections for both the US and UK.

Note that Black Friday doesn't officially land until November 29th for 2024 but we expect plenty of retailers to start ramping up the laptop deals well ahead of this date. Right now, it's early days but we're already beginning to prep this page for our deals coverage between now and late November.

Just below you can see a quick list of the best laptop deals to check out this week ahead of Black Friday. Expect this list to grow rapidly as things heat up, but in the meantime bookmark this page for later. We've also preserved a list of last year's best Black Friday laptop deals at the bottom of the page to let you know what to expect for 2024.

Black Friday laptop deals: FAQ

When will Black Friday laptop deals start?

From now onwards! While Black Friday isn't until November 29th, the actual deals tend to crop up way ahead of the calendar date itself. It's not uncommon now for actual 'Black Friday' branded deals to start in late October as well as other loosely related seasonal sales.

Right now, for example, we're just about to hit the 'Amazon Big Deal Days sale', which is essentially a second Amazon Prime Day event in all but name. If you're interested, we'll be rounding up all the best laptop deals right here on this page for this event, as well as other Black Friday options as we head through to late November.

What Black Friday laptop deals should I expect?

Black Friday laptop deals are reliably good if you know what to look for. Amazon, Best Buy, Walmart, and specialist retailers like Dell and HP will all be offering decent deals across their vast inventories, so expect plenty of options all the way from super cheap Chromebooks to high-end gaming laptops.

Last year's sales included great prices on well-reviewed models like the MacBook Air and Dell XPS 13 - both of which we recommend as superb machines for nearly every user. Cheaper Chromebooks started at just $134 / £132 last year and Windows laptops at $299 / £399, which is generally the price you'd expect to pay for a solid machine that doesn't skimp on too many corners. Finally, gaming laptops with the latest RTX 4000 series graphics cards started at around $750 / £700 - which we expect will be beaten this year since these components are a little older now.

MacBook Air 15-inch (M2): $1,299$1,049 at Amazon

MacBook Air 15-inch (M2): was $1,299 now $1,049 at Amazon
It may essentially be just a larger version of the MacBook Air 13-inch, but if that's what you want then that's what you get - and it's now reduced to a new lowest-ever price at Amazon. Our MacBook Air 15-inch review praised the display, performance, design, and speaker array, although we did think the jump in size hurt one of the MacBook Air's key selling points - its portability. Nevertheless, the is still an impressive laptop at a good price following this new $250 discount.

Image

Lenovo LOQ: was $950 now $649.99 at Best Buy
The most affordable laptop right now that offers an RTX 3050 GPU. Compared to the GF63 Thin listed here, it has a more recent Core i5 CPU, 50% more video memory, and a much bigger 1TB SSD. However, it only has 8GB DDR5 RAM but it’s still a stunning offer. You can however upgrade the memory in less than 10 minutes if you’re a tinkerer. A $300 saving on this laptop is nothing to be sniffed at.

The GF63 remains one of the best affordable gaming laptops MSI has ever produced, and the latest iteration is no exception. Packing a 12th-gen Intel Core i5 CPU and RTX 4050 graphics card along with a 144Hz 1080p screen, this is one of the best-value gaming machines you can buy this Black Friday.

Image

HP Victus 15-inch gaming laptop: was $799.99 now $449.99 at Best Buy
If you're looking for a super-cheap gaming laptop for basic games, this is worth investigating. The $250 price cut is certainly eye-catching, and while the specs aren't amazing - the RTX 2050 GPU in particular is quite old and under-powered these days - for kids looking for their first gaming laptop to play Minecraft and other games that aren't too demanding, this price isn't bad at all.

Image

MSI GF63 15.6-inch gaming laptop: was $699 now $587.69 at Walmart
Cheap gaming laptops can be a little iffy but we're thoroughly impressed with this MSI GF63 in the Walmart Black Friday sale. Not only does it feature an absolutely rock-bottom price for a machine with an RTX 3050 graphics card, but it also comes complete with a full 16GB kit of RAM. An Intel Core i5-11400H chipset and 512GB SSD round out the specs here for a decent starter machine for 1080p gaming.

Image

You get a super fast RTX 4050 GPU, a Core i5 CPU, 16GB of RAM, and 512GB SSD. The screen is a larger-than-usual 16.1-inch 1080p model with a 144Hz refresh rate to ensure smooth graphics. It’s a great all-rounder machine for anyone looking to do a bit of coding or programming outside of gaming.

Image

Gigabyte G5 15.6-inch gaming laptop: was $1,099 now $799.99 at Best Buy
Need something a little cheaper? This Gigabyte G5 is an officially listed 'early Black Friday deal' from Best Buy and features an impressive $300 off. Inside, it's packed in an Intel Core i7, RTX 4060, 16GB of RAM, and a 512GB SSD – all great specs to have at this price point. Overall, this one isn't a world-beating machine, but it's a superb choice if you want a cost-effective gaming laptop that can handle 1080p resolution. Recommended.

Image

MSI Delta 15.6-inch gaming laptop: was $1,699 now $799.99 at Newegg
This MSI Delta at Newegg is an older machine now, but it's still great – and it's basically half-price right now. Inside, it features exclusively last-gen AMD components, but they aren't the entry-level stuff, they're actually mid to upper range and still more than capable of outputting some fantastic performance at 1080p. The only downside we can think of with this machine is that the RX 6700M will lag behind with Ray-Tracing performance versus the equivalent Nvidia graphics card. Otherwise, however, you're getting fantastic bang for the buck with this early Black Friday deal.

Image

MSI Sword 15: was $1,099 now $899 at Walmart
One of my preferred deals on this Black Friday sales list is yet another MSI gaming laptop. The Sword adopts a cool white and blue finish and punches well above its price tag. With a Core i7 GPU, an RTX 4060 GPU with 8GB GDDR6, 16GB RAM, and a 1TB SSD, it is seriously good value for money. Its elegant design makes this gaming laptop a great choice for a work device.

Image

Asus TUF 15.6-inch gaming laptop: was $1,399 now $999.99 at Best Buy
This heavily reduced Asus TUF is easily one of the cheapest laptops we've ever seen to feature the speedy new RTX 4070 graphics card. This GPU, combined with a 12th-gen Intel Core i7 chipset, 16GB of RAM, and a 1TB SSD means this Asus is packing some serious gaming chops under the hood. While it's not at the very cutting edge of components or overall design, you're getting almost unbeatable bang for the buck here with this Asus, thanks to a healthy $300 discount at Best Buy.

Image

Asus TUF Gaming A15: was $1,199.99 now $999 at Amazon
Save $200 on this new-for-2023 gaming laptop. We love Asus' TUF lineup of affordable laptops for playing games on, and this one comes with 16GB DDR5, AMD Ryzen 7 CPU, and new Nvidia RTX 4050, giving you enough power to play most modern games at medium to high settings - especially if you make use of DLSS 3.0 to help boost the performance.

This excellent deal comes with an Intel Core i9 12900H CPU, a Nvidia RTX 4080 GPU, 16GB RAM, and 1TB of storage.

Samsung Galaxy Chromebook Go: was £299 now £204.99 at Amazon
An ideal laptop for students and kids, the Samsung Galaxy Chromebook Go packs a lightweight but rugged design that can handle roughing it at school. An Intel Celeron processor ensures ChromeOS will run smoothly, and the sleek silver finish helps set it apart from other Chromebooks.

Image

Acer Chromebook 314: was £399.99 now £249 at Currys
This is towards the pricier end of the scale for a Chromebook, but you get an impressive amount of power for the price. That includes 8GB of RAM, which will dramatically boost performance, boot times and load times. There's also a decent 128GB of storage and battery life impresses at just over 12 hours on a single charge. That's more than enough to last a full working day. At under £250, it's a bargain for school or college, or just as a home laptop that you use for light use and everyday tasks.

Image

Acer 14-inch Chromebook: was £599 now £439 at Argos
Chromebooks aren't only cheap and cheerful laptops, as the Acer CP514-2H shows. This is a stylish and powerful Chromebook that can rival many much more expensive Windows 11 laptops thanks to its Intel Core i3 processor, 8GB RAM and 256GB SSD - all very high specs for a Chromebook, and this means it'll perform exceptionally well. The £160 discount makes this even better value, and the 2-in-1 design gives it plenty of versatility.

MacBook Air (M1, 2020): £999 £799 at Amazon

MacBook Air (M1, 2020): was £999 now £799 at Amazon
This is a great price for the previous generation MacBook Air M1. Even though there's a newer M2 model available now, this is still a very powerful creative workstation that'll suit most users. If you've had an eye on the device we called a 'game-changer' in our MacBook Air M1 review. This deal is selling out fast.

Image

MacBook Pro 13-inch (M1, 2020): was £1,298 now £899.97 at Laptops Direct
The first generation MacBook Pro 13-inch with Apple's own silicon has plummeted in price ahead of Black Friday, and has a massive £399 price cut, putting it at a similar level as the M1 MacBook Air, but with a bit more flexibility thanks to its better thermal performance, so it can work harder for longer. With 8GB of memory and 256GB SSD storage, this is a brilliant deal for a laptop that remains an excellent performer.

Image

Apple MacBook Air M2 (256GB): was £1,399 now £1,124.99 at Amazon
This is the lowest price yet for the M2 model of the MacBook Air - and it's almost sold out! This superb machine isn't quite as good value as its M1 predecessor but it's a much more modern-looking and slick machine. The bezels are thinner and the M2 chipset inside provides an impressive amount of power - enough that we'd happily recommend this one to all but the most demanding of professionals.

Image

Apple MacBook Air 15-inch (M2, 2023): was £1,399.97 now £1,299.97 at Laptops Direct
The larger 15-inch version of Apple's flagship thin-and-light laptop only launched earlier this year, but it's still £99 off at Laptops Direct for Black Friday. Packing the M2 chip, 256GB of fast SSD storage, and Apple signature Liquid Retina display, this is a powerhouse laptop for everyone from office workers to creative students.

Image

Apple MacBook Air 15-inch (M2, 2023): was £1,599.97 now £1,399.97 at Laptops Direct
Laptops Direct has cut a larger £199 off the new 15-inch MacBook Air with larger 512GB SSD. We recommend going for this model if your budget allows, as it has a bigger price cut than the model above, and the 512GB storage won't fill up as fast. Otherwise, the specs are the same.
