Realme is all set to launch a new smartphone series, Realme Q5, in China. The series has been officially teased by the brand on Weibo. The smartphone series will be launched on April 20 at 11:30 AM IST.

Though we don't know how many phones will be unveiled, a poster of the special edition Pro variant is also doing the rounds of the internet. In a report published by GSMArena, it has been mentioned that the Realme Q5 Pro could be a rebadged Realme GT Neo 2 with faster charging support.

Realme GT Neo 2 supports 65W fast charging, so the chances are that we can see 80W fast charging support in the Realme Q5 Pro. As for the leaked poster for Realme Q5 Pro, it shows that the design of the smartphone's back panel will have a white and yellow checkerboard inspired by VANS shoes.

The camera island can be seen at the top left corner with two large sensors, two small sensors, and two flashlights. The power button of the device seems to be placed at the right spine, and the volume rockers at the left spine.

What is on the cards?

Just a few days ago, a Realme device made its appearance on TENAA with model number RMX3372. The smartphone is being said to be the base variant, Realme Q5, of the upcoming series. It could run on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 processor along with 12GB RAM and 512GB internal storage.

The device can ship with a 6.62-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a high refresh rate. At the back, the smartphone could sport a triple rear camera setup, including a 64MP primary snapper, 8MP ultra wide-angle snapper, and a 2MP macro snapper. It can also get a 16MP front sensor for capturing selfies and attending video calls.

Will it reach the Indian shores?

Talking about its predecessor series, Realme Q3, none of the smartphones reached the Indian shores. Back in January, a report suggested that the Realme Narzo 50 Pro is going to be a rebranded version of the Realme Q3s. However, we still don't know if it is true.

Any statement regarding the launch of the Realme Q5 series in India could not be made at this point in time. To be honest, Realme Q5 series' chances of India launch are pretty low. However, Realme can rebrand the smartphones from the upcoming series to launch in India under different monikers.
