Vivo recently made its plan clear, that the company will be focusing more on flagship devices, with the launch of the Vivo X Note, Vivo X Fold and the Vivo Pad. As of now, the brand is prepping up to launch the Vivo X80 series in China which will consist of three smartphones - Vivo X80, X80 Pro, and X80 Pro Plus

No doubt we can say that Vivo is all set to give tough competition to brands like OnePlus and Realme. In a recent report by 91Mobiles, it has been mentioned that the Vivo X80 and X80 Pro Plus appeared on BIS listing. The listing tipped that the smartphone will feature a MediaTek Dimensity 9000 processor along with 8GB RAM.

If we keep the Antutu scores of Dimensity 9000 and Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 in mind, it is already clear that the former gives a tough competition to the latter. And here we are talking about the base variant of the series.

This time, Vivo is all set to go guns blazing on the smartphone market as the Pro Plus variant of the series will get the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor. It has also been revealed that the Vivo X80 will carry the V2145 model number and the Pro Plus variant will have the V2144 model number.

Furthermore, the Geekbench listing of the Vivo X80 has revealed that the smartphone will score around 937 in single-core tests and 3313 in multi-core tests.

Vivo X80 series expected specifications

Starting off with the Vivo X80, the device is expected to get a 6.78-inch AMOLED display complemented with a 120Hz refresh rate. The smartphone is said to draw power from a 4500mAh battery along with 80W fast charging support. It now seems like the 80W fast charging support is going to be the next most common charging tech after the 65W thing.

The device will sport a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 50MP Sony IMX866 primary shooter, a 12MP ultra wide angle shooter, and a 12MP portrait shooter with 2x zoom. For selfies and video calls, the smartphone will get a 32MP snapper.

The Vivo X80 Pro Plus will most probably come up with a 6.78-inch LTPO 2.0 E5 QHD+ AMOLED display along with a 120Hz refresh rate. The device will flaunt a quad rear camera setup comprising a 50MP primary snapper, 48MP Sony IMX598 snapper, 50MP JN1 snapper, and a 50MP JN2 snapper. It may also get a 50MP front shooter for selfies and video calls.

A lot of information regarding the key specifications, features, and pricing of the smartphone series is still under the wraps. We can expect more information on our way as soon as the series inches closer to launch.
