I've been working in AV product testing and tech journalism for nearly 30 years, and I've had my eyes on basically every flagship TV available today. I'm always looking to cover as many bases as possible for different budget or viewing needs in my reviewing, and have been covering Cyber Monday and other high-profile sales events for the last three years.
I've reviewed everything from budget 32-inch TVs up to the world’s most elite OLED TVs. Before joining TechRadar, I worked for several years at one of the UK's leading AV retailers, dealing with everything from TVs and soundbars up to custom home theater installations. LIVE: Latest Updates
Welcome to our Cyber Monday TV deals round-up! I'm going to update this throughout the day with the latest prices and any new deals, as well as general TV-buying tips and advice.
I promise above that if you email me, you'll get a personalized TV recommendation. I was offering this over Black Friday itself, and I got some great questions where I think the answer will be useful to others, too, so I'll share them here.
If you email and I don't answer for a few hours, please bear with me – I will get back to you, but it probably just means I'm on a break or tied up with something else for a while.
Where do you start with buying a TV when there are so many options? I always tell people to first decide your size and your budget, to give you a handhold.
It may seem restrictive, but once you narrow these things, you'll find that the field closes from thousands to just a handful. And then, when you're looking at a much more manageable range of options, you can start being flexible about maybe pushing the budget a little further. But you've got to start somewhere.
If you're looking for a fantastic deal on a 65-inch TV, there's no better place to start than this LG C3 offer. The 65-inch model has dropped to a record-low $1,196.99 at Amazon – that's the cheapest we've ever seen it.
The C3 is one of the best OLED TVs around as it covers all the bases well. It has terrific picture quality with plenty of detail, color and contrast, and a full suite of gaming features.
LG C3 65-inch US deal: was $1899.99 now $1,196.99 at Amazon
What size TV should you buy for your space? Really, it comes down to you and your ambitions. There have been multiple suggestion on sizes in the past – you should sit twice the distance of your TV's size, wait, it should be 1.5 times, wait, in the era of 4K maybe it can be less…
I think 1.5 is a good basic rule if you're in doubt. But it's an aesthetic choice as much as anything. Some people do not want a large TV, for various reasons, and you shouldn't go big just because a rule of thumb tells you to.
The distance I sit from my TV roughly equal to the size of the TV, because I want a big home theater feeling. Some people find that oppressive. But know that, according to Samsung's research, not getting a bigger size is the primary regret people have with their TV purchases…
If you've heard all the fuss about OLED TVs, but you're not sure what the deal is, then let me direct you to our 'What is OLED' guide – but here's the short version.
LED screens, including QLED, consist of a big screen of lights behind a color-filtering layer of pixels. This makes it hard for these TVs to show true black tones, because trying to block light coming from the backlight often results in something a little gray. Most good TVs these days have an element of 'local dimming' to help avoid this, where the light turns itself off in sections that should be black to create true black tones – but if there still a bright section, light will 'bleed' into the dark area.
OLED screens don't have this issue. Each pixel generates its own light, and can be dimmed all the way to being off, for true black tones that can be right next to tiny bright highlights, and there'll be no bleed from one to the other. For this reason, they're considered the ultimate in image quality by many people – though they can't go as bright as LED TVs, so there's a trade-off.
If you're thinking of getting a larger screen, you'll be pleased to know there's some great bargains going on for Black Friday. The 75-inch model of the Amazon Fire TV Omni QLED has hit a record-low $879.99 at Amazon, which is superb value for a large screen size.
It's worth being weary with bigger screens, as LEDs with edge lighting may be tempting but as we found last Black Friday, they are best avoided. Thankfully, the Omni QLED uses a QLED panel with full array lighting which means you're going to get a great picture even at this larger screen size. It's feature-rich, budget TV that's a real winner.
Amazon Fire TV Omni QLED 75-inch TV deal: was $1,099,99 now $879.99 at Amazon
I got a great question from someone asking what the best budget 55-inch TV is that has a wide viewing angle. Most budget TVs use a type of screen that's lower cost, but delivers strong colors and black tones when viewed straight on, but the colors wash out quickly when you watch from a more acute angle. So this is tough nut to crack!
I haven't tested it, but my understanding is that the Sony Bravia 3, which is available for $600 at 55 inches, has perhaps the best wide viewing angle of TVs at that level.
The other option is to go smaller, and get the 48-inch LG B4 OLED TV, which is $599 currently. OLED has excellent wide viewing angles, so it'll nail that part of it – it's just that 48 inches feels a lot smaller than 55 inches.
Want a 65-inch but on a budget? We've got you covered. The 65-inch Hisense U6N has dropped to an astonishing $497.99 at Amazon – under $500 for a 65-inch screen is incredible value.
The U6N is one of the best budget TVs you can get, as it has a mini-LED panel with great contrast and lifelike textures and a good stock of gaming features incluidng VRR and Dolby Vision gaming.
Hisense U6N 65-inch deal: was $697.99 now $497.99 at Amazon
Looking for an OLED TV on a smaller scale? There's a deal for that this Black Friday too! The LG B4's 48-inch model has fallen to its cheapest ever price of $599.99 at Best Buy. These aren't the low numbers you expect to pay for an OLED TV, so be sure to snap it up while you can.
The B4 delivers amazing picture quality with plenty of contrast, detail, vibrant colors and deep black levels as well as a great stock of gaming features, including four HDMI 2.1 ports for the first time in the LG B-series' lifetime.
LG B4 48-inch deal: was $799.99 now $599.99 at Best Buy
Is burn-in still a problem for OLED TVs? For many years, the tech had a reputation for a big problem: images that appeared on screen often and for long periods – such as network logos or parts of a game's interface – would 'burn' into the screen, and leave ghostly images there all the time.
This reputation was well-earned – it was a big problem for the tech, no doubt. But recent TVs have essentially fully overcome this problem, using a combination of better screen tech, smart processing that detects and mitigates the effects of static logos quietly in the background, and the use of good old-fashioned screen savers if they detect that you're leaving a fully still image (like a paused video) on the screen for too long.
If you're looking for TV for a smaller room or bedroom, 43-inch may be the right size. Now, do you want a 43-inch TV that bright, perfect for sports and great for gaming and movies too? Then the Samsung QN90D should be one of your top choices.
The Samsung QN90D's 43-inch model has dropped to $899.99 at Samsung, which is an excellent price for a TV that delivers awesome picture quality that's bright and ultra-responsive, and a full list of gaming features across four HDMI 2.1 ports.
Samsung QN90D 43-inch deal: was $1,499.99 now $899.99 at Samsung
What's the big deal about mini-LED? This tech works just like traditional LED screens, in that a layer of LEDs behind the pixels generates the light that reaches you eyes, and gets converted to the right colors on the way.
The difference is that the LEDs are far tinier, which means TV companies can fit a lot more of them in. This has three advantages: it means a more even backlight; it means a brighter light; and it means more accurate local dimming for better contrast, because the areas being dimmed can be smaller if the LEDs are smaller.
When it launched, mini-LED was strictly a premium tech only – but in only a few short years, it's appeared on budget TVs, where it makes a huge difference to the picture quality.
Someone asked me about the best OLED TVs this Black Friday, and said they were looking at the Sony A80L. It's a magnificent TV – read our Sony A80L review for the full scoop – with beautiful image quality, and built-in sound that's so good, you won't need a soundbar.
The downsides are that it's not as bright as other OLEDs of the same price, it's a year old, and Sony charges a premium for its TVs – and isn't as aggressive with the discounts. So there are good deals on the A80L to be found, and if anyone has their heart set on it, and you're happy with the price, I think it's worth pulling the trigger! People have a fondness for Sony TVs, and I've got no problem with people following their heart when the TVs are really good!
The newer version of the TV is the Sony Bravia 8, and it's not a huge leap forward overall, so paying less for the older version is a good idea.
I've also been asked whether TCL TVs are good purchases. The easy answer here is that the TCL mini-LEDs are very good value – we really rate the TCL QM851G as a beautiful mini-LED that gives Samsung a beat-down when it comes to bang for your buck. However, the Hisense U8N is very similar TV, available in more sizes, and keeps slightly beating the TCL on price.
The cheaper and smaller TCL TVs are more hit and miss, when we've tested them. Some are very impressive for colors and detail, but while I'm confident saying you'll do well with the mini-LED TVs, I can't speak with such certainty about the cheaper ones.
Someone asked me what the difference between the LG C3 and the LG C4 is, and is it just the brightness? Both are available this Black Friday (though with limited sizes on the C3, because it's a model from 2024).
The brightness is the main difference, to be blunt! The LG C4 is a noticeable boost in brightness, which improves the color richness and contrast – but it also has a new image processor, raising overall picture quality. It's just that other changes are subtle, and often feed into making the most of the brightness.
The C4 also uses its processing for better audio, including upscaling from stereo into something with more of a spatial feel – though the C4 still isn't close to the quality of a decent soundbar.
The C4 also has a refresh rate of 144Hz, instead of 120Hz on the C3, but only high-end PC gamers would care about that.
Finally, the C4 has a newer version of the webOS smart TV software that powers it. The C3 is getting this software, it'll just always be a year behind the C4 on updates in the future (LG promises 5 years of updates).
Our pick for the best budget TV is the Roku Pro Series, which is an excellent TV that uses a mini-LED TV backlight for better brightness and contrast over regular LED, but it still offers this at an affordable price. It's also got Roku as its smart TV platform, which is user-friendly, simple and intuitive.
Have there been any great deals for Black Friday? Yes! The 65-inch model has dropped to $799.99 at Best Buy, the cheapest it's ever been! If you're looking for an affordable TV that won't break the bank, this is a great choice.
Roku Pro Series 65-inch deal: was $1,199.99 now $799.99 at Best Buy
The LG C3 has seen some major discounts this Black Friday, with the 65-inch model hitting its lowest ever price of $1,199.99 at Amazon.
Well, the 77-inch C3 has also had a price drop, hitting $1,899.99 at Best Buy, which is a seriously good price for an OLED at this size.
LG C3 77-inch US deal: was $2,299.99 now $1,899.99 at Best Buy
Hisense is making another appearance in our best TVs rundown, but this time is it's the Hisense U6N, which is our choice for the best super-cheap big screen TV.
The Hisense U6N offers access to mini-LED for cheap and has solid picture quality and a decent stock of gaming features. Most important though is its price. You can get this TV in a big screen size for a very budget price.
The discounts have been great for the Hisense U6N, with its 75-inch size hitting as low as $699.99 at Best Buy, an incredible offer on a mini-LED set at a large size. Its 85-inch deal is great too!
Hisense U6N 75-inch mini-LED TV deal: was $1,199.99 now $699.99 at Best Buy
What's next in our list of the best TVs? It's only our choice for the best TV of 2024, the Samsung S95D, which we've chosen as the best premium OLED. An elite OLED that we dubbed "the future of OLED" because it innovated in ways that blew us away and demonstrated what makes OLED so great.
The Samsung S95D has stunning picture quality with gorgeous contrast, super-high brightness and realistic textures and detail thanks to some clever processing. It's also got an appealing design, accurate sound and a superb list of gaming features.
Has Cyber Monday been good to the Samsung S95D? While the deals haven't quite been as good as we hoped, there have still be some discounts. The 55-inch model has dropped to $1,899.99 at Samsung, which is still a pretty good offer!
Samsung S95D 55-inch OLED TV deal: was $2,599.99 now $1,899.99 at Samsung
Up next in the TVs featured in our guide to the best TVs is another OLED, the LG B4. Only this time, this is our choice for the best cheap OLED.
OLED TVs often come at a premium price and although they are gradually getting cheaper, it's all relative; you'll still be hard-pushed to get a good one for much less than $1,000, or certainly for less than $800. And that makes the LG B-series a real standout – because it still offers the fantastic picture quality with a realistic, contrast-rich look, and a real stack of gaming features, despite being costing far less than most.
The Cyber Monday deals (and Black Friday deals before them) have been excellent for the LG B4, with the 48-inch size down to an incredible $599.99 at Best Buy – that's $200 off. If you want to go bigger it will cost you more, of course, but the 77-incher has also had a huge discount, down to $1,596.99 at Amazon.
LG B4 48-inch OLED TV deal: was $799.99 now $599.99 at Best Buy
LG B4 77-inch OLED TV deal: was $1,796.99 now $1,596.99 at Amazon
Staying with our list, our choice for the best mid-range TV is another Hisense set – it's the Hisense U8N.
The Hisense U8N delivers amazing picture quality with seriously good brightness levels, great contrast and bold colors that make a joy to watch. It's also got excellent built-in sound and a fantastic suite of gaming features. But it's best quality is its value, as you can get all this for very fair price.
But with Cyber Monday (and Black Friday before it), the U8N's value has gotten even better, with the 65-inch model hitting $899.99 at Best Buy. That's a superb price for a set as good as this.
Hisense U8N 65-inch mini-LED TV deal: was $1,499.99 now $899.99 at Best Buy
One of 2024's more surprising bits of news for 2024 was the return of Panasonic's TVs to US shores for the first time in over ten years. It brought three models with it, including the TV above; the flagship OLED TV Panasonic Z95A.
The 65-inch model (the only size in the US) has a discount for Cyber Monday as well, dropping to $2,299.99 at Amazon.
Panasonic Z95A 65-inch OLED TV deal: was $3,199.99 now $2,299.99 at Amazon
Cheap TVs are always a compromise in quality, but some more so than others. The good news is that if you're looking for a decent 50 or 55-inch TV for under $200, some do exist.
Our go-to deal for this price range is the Insignia F30, which is available for $189.99 for its 50-inch model at Amazon or the 55-inch is available for a little more at $209.99, also at Amazon.
Another option, for a little more, is the TCL Q5 QLED TV, which is available in a 55-inch size for $249.99. We think it would be a step-up over the Insignia, but both are going to be a good choice for a budget 55-inch option.
Insignia F30 50-inch LED TV: was $299.99 now $189.99 at Amazon
TCL Q5 55-inch QLED TV: was $449.99 now $249.99 at Best Buy
The Sony Bravia delivers bright vibrant colors, plenty of refined and natural detail and a great stock of gaming features, including 'Perfect for PS5' ones.
We've seen an excellent deal on its 65-inch model but its 55-inch model has also had a discount. It's fallen to $1,398.99 at Amazon in the US and it's down to £1,499 at Amazon in the UK.
Sony Bravia 8 55-inch US deal: was $1,799.99 now $1,398.99 at Amazon
We're almost done with our list of the best TVs and next is our choice for best for versatility, which goes to the LG C4.
Why is the best TV for versatility? It covers all the bases. It's fully stocked for gaming, has excellent picture quality with stunning contrast and exquisite detail and textures, has an intuitive smart TV platform and comes in a wide variety of sizes; 42-83 inches in fact!
We've covered loads of deals on the LG C4's various sizes, which have all been solid, but we'll highlight the 55-inch deal again, which hits $1,199 at Best Buy – our lowest ever deal.
LG C4 55-inch OLED TV deal: was $1,499.99 now $1,199.99 at Best Buy
Returning to our list of the best TVs, next is our pick for the best TV for sports; and for us it's the Samsung QN90D.
It's got high brightness levels that make it perfect for watching in brighter rooms and it has sensational motion handling out-of-the-box. With some cheaper TVs, you need to mess with the settings to get the motion just right, especially for something tricky like sports. But not the Samsung QN90D.
As an added bonus it's also great for movies and gaming, thanks to its long list of gaming features and its vibrant, natural, colorful picture.
Black Friday has seen a few deals for the Samsung QN90D and though they don't quite compete with those from Hisense for its mini-LED sets. There's still some good offers.
Samsung QN90D 55-inch mini-LED TV deal: was $1,797.99 now $1,197.99 at Amazon
If you're an avid gamer you might want to know what the best 55-inch TV you can get for under $1000 is. Well, it's one that we've mentioned before here, namely the LG B4 OLED TV. Its brilliant picture quality and great list of gaming features will be perfect for you.
I would also suggest the Samsung Q80D if you need something a little cheaper. Although its picture won't quite as good as the LG B4's, it is still very good, doing more than a QLED TV is supposed to do. It's also got a great suite of gaming features as well.
If you want to check out these deals, we've linked to them below.
LG B4 55-inch OLED TV deal: $996 at Amazon
Samsung Q80D 55-inch QLED TV: was $1,197.99 now $797.99 at Amazon
If there's one weakness of today's TVs, it's sound. TVs are getting bigger and bigger in screen size, but thinner and thinner – and great sound requires big speakers that take up a lot of physical volume. High-end TVs use fancy speaker arrays to offer pretty good sound, but still tend to lack bass, because that requires even more physical volume.
And budget TVs often sacrifice the sound, to ensure that all the effort is put into a dazzling picture – and cheap TVs can be really mediocre in some cases for sound clarity.
So, soundbars have become extremely popular. They don't take up much physical space, but they have more physical depth and can direct the sound right towards you, for clearer results. Some TV makers basically use soundbars to solve their TVs' sound problem, offering free soundbars in bundles or heavy discounts when bought with a TV.
But soundbars are very inexpensive, and that goes double over Black Friday and Cyber Monday…
For instance, the Sonos Beam (Gen 2) has recently hit its lowest ever price on both sides of the pond.
In the US, you can grab the Sonos Beam for $369 at Amazon, which is terrific value for a soundbar that ticks all the boxes for music and movies.
Sonos Beam (Gen 2) soundbar US deal: was $449 now $369 at Amazon
Need a streamer to go with your new TV? The new Roku Ultra (2024) is one of our favorite streamers, and it’s getting a price cut in this Amazon Cyber Monday deal. That’s right, you can save $20 on the company’s latest streamer, and reap the benefits of its comprehensive format support, which includes Dolby Vision, HDR10+, and Dolby Atmos.
Why would you want an external streaming when TVs have their own built-in smart interface for streaming? The Roku smart interface has a streamlined, easy to navigate layout that’s superior to the interface in many smart TVs, and it also comes with a fantastic, fully backlit remote and supports hands-free voice control. This deal is likely available only for a limited time, so take advantage of it.
Roku Ultra (2024) deal: was $99.99 now $79.99 at Amazon
I've just updated this page with a few new deals from the Cyber Monday sales, and checked the prices of everything.
The best 85-inch TVs generally aren’t cheap, but they do get much cheaper on Cyber Monday and Black Friday. To prove that point, I’ve looked up Cyber Monday deals on the 85-inch versions of two of our favorite mini-LED TVs from 2024: the TCL QM851G and Hisense U8N.
The 85-inch TCL QM851G is now selling for $1998 at Amazon, a 25% discount. That’s a great deal for this super-bright TV, which also sports excellent local dimming to pump up the contrast and bring out shadow detail in dark movies.
Hisense’s U8N is now selling for $1,699 at Best Buy (a $1,100 savings) in an 85-inch screen size. Like the TCL, the U8N also has powerful brightness and impressive local dimming. Both TVs also provide great sound quality from their built-in speakers and are great options for gaming, with 4K 140Hz support (and 1080p at 240Hz on the TCL). These are both great prices on fantastic TVs, but Best Buy’s Hisense U8N discount is the better Black Friday 85-inch TV deal.
85-inch TCL QM851G at Amazon: was $2,699.99 now $1,998.00
85-inch Hisense U8N at Best Buy: was $2,799.99 now $1699.99
Sometimes the best TV is… a projector! The Hisense PX2-Pro ultra short throw projector is getting a 20% discount at Amazon for Black Friday, knocking its price down to $1,997. That’s a great deal for a projector that previously occupied the top spot in our best ultra short throw projectors guide, and one that’s capable of beaming an image as big as 130 inches.
Why is the PX2-Pro no longer the top choice in our guide? Because it’s yielded its spot to the Hisense PX3-Pro, a brighter model with better gaming features. The PX3-Pro is currently priced at $3,200, however, which is a big step up over the older, but still excellent PX2-Pro. Grab this Black Friday deal before it disappears!
Hisense PX2-Pro ultra short throw projector deal: was $2497 now $1997 at Amazon
It’s not just TVs that get Black Friday deals. You can now find discounts on everything from the best Dolby Atmos soundbars to the best 4K Blu-ray players in the Black Friday sales. You do own both of those items, right?
If you’re a Blu-ray collector with a 4K Blu-ray player, one 4K disc we’d recommend picking up is The Batman, which is getting a 71% price cut down to $9.99 in Amazon’s Black Friday deal. The Batman is a regular reference disc used by our TV reviewing team to test for black levels and shadow detail, and it’s also a great movie that was directed by the talented Matt Reeves (Battle for the Planet of the Apes, 10 Cloverfield Lane, Let Me In). While you’re at it, add Dune: Part 2, which is getting a 38% discount to $12.99, to your Amazon cart.
The Batman 4K Blu-ray deal: was $33.99 now $9.99 at Amazon
Dune Part 2: 4K Blu-ray deal: was $20.99 now $12.99 at Amazon
Someone asked me what the best 75-inch TV for around $500 is (with the potential to push the budget a little), if picture quality and versatility is a priority. The problem here is that, at that kind of price, the size automatically becomes the priority. The only TVs you'll find for that price at that size will very much be budget models, and so image quality and versatile features will have been on the cost-cutting block.
My recommendation if you feel that these things are a priority is to drop a size. You can get the Hisense U7N 65-inch for $677 at Amazon, if the budget will push that far, and you'd get a very good mini-LED TV with 4K 120Hz for gaming – quality and versatility. The closest 75-inch equivalent would be the Hisense U6N 75-inch at $647 at Amazon, which has a pretty good image, though no 120Hz support.
Sticking to the $500 budget and the original size request, I'd recommend the 75-inch TCL S551F for $479 at Amazon but make no mistake that you're giving up color depth and contrast to get there. But sometimes, what you want is size, and that's okay too.
I got a message from another reader looking for a 75-inch TV, this time with a heavy focus on sports and family-room viewing, and a budget of around $1,600. He has a Sony right now, and Best Buy had advised to stick to Sony – but within the budget, that's a little tight. He'd identified that the LG OLED B4, Hisense U8N and the TCL QM851G are all listed as good TVs for this kind of budget – including by us!
But for this particular purpose, my recommendation is the Samsung QN85D 75-inch for $1,598 at Amazon. Samsung's motion processing for sports is superior to the TCL or Hisense TVs, this TV is much brighter than the LG B4 in a way that's ideal for sports, and the Samsung has better accuracy to the colors when viewing from an angle, making it better for family rooms where lots of people are sitting all over the place.
How cheap can a TV get? When it’s Cyber Monday, the answer is very cheap, as evidenced by the 43-inch onn. TV selling for $94 at Walmart.
The 43-inch onn. Is a full HD (1080p resolution) TV, which means you don’t get the same super-crisp picture as in 4K sets, and there are no fancy features like Dolby Vision HDR or 120Hz support for gaming. But 1080p pictures can look very good on a 43-inch screen, and the onn. also has the excellent Roku smart TV interface for streaming from Netflix and all your other favorite apps.
onn. 43-inch Roku smart TV deal: $94 at Walmart
Over this weekend, the highly-rated 65-inch LG C3 OLED fell to an extra $10 cheaper – which is $10 cheaper than it has ever been!
It's a good one: the OLED display is bursting with crisp colors and powerful contrast, all because of LG's latest Alpha9 Gen6 chip at the helm. Plus, you're getting four HDMI 2.1 ports, a sleek, thin design, and an updated webOS experience. Don't you just love Cyber Monday?
LG 65-inch C3 OLED: was $2,499.99 now $1,186.99
Why do we recommend it as the LG C4 top TV for versatility? Because it covers every base with style. It has excellent picture quality, stunning contrast, and it's fully stocked for gaming. Oh, and let's not forget the intuitive smart TV platform – and comes in a wide variety of sizes, from the bijou 42-inch screen to a whopping 83 inch king-size display, worthy of a home theater moniker.
We've covered a plethora of deals on the LG C4's various sizes, which have all been solid, but I'm highlighting the 55-inch deal again, which hit $1,199 at Best Buy and is still live on Cyber Monday – the lowest-ever price.
LG C4 55-inch OLED TV deal: was $1,499.99 now $1,199.99 at Best Buy
Al Griffin, Senior TV Editor, here. If you've bought yourself a new TV and find that you're just not getting on with the smart TV platform, then an Amazon Fire TV Stick could be just the thing you need.
There are few different models to choose from but this Cyber Monday, the best bang for your buck is the Fire TV Stick 4K Max. It has all the bells and whistles you need plus a faster process for improved performance, with access to all your favorite apps. It's down to a record-low $32.99 so there's no better time to grab one.
Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K Max: was $59.99 now $32.99 at Amazon
The biggest TVs are getting big price cuts in Black Friday deals. One of the better ones we’ve seen is the Hisense 100U7N for $1,798.99 at Amazon. That’s a 40% discount, and a real good deal for a 100-inch TV with a mini-LED backlight.
We tested the smaller Hisense U7N size, and we liked its bright image and the powerful contrast delivered by its mini-LED backlight. It’s also a very good TV for gaming, with support for 4K 120Hz with VRR. Imagine playing games on a 100-inch TV!
100-inch Hisense U7N mini-LED TV deal: was $2997.99 now $1,798.99 at Amazon
We’ve listed some deals here that bring already budget-priced TVs down to an incredibly low price – under $100 in some cases – but what does Black Friday mean for flagship OLED TVs, the kind that serious movie enthusiasts drool over?
Our top OLED TVs of 2024 are the Samsung S95D and the LG G4. Amazon currently has Black Friday deals on the 65-inch versions of both models that bring them down to around $2,298. Those discounts are in the 30% range and are record-low prices for these fantastic TVs. We awarded both the Samsung S95D and LG G4 5 stars when we reviewed them, so if you’re looking to score the best TV you can buy on Black Friday, check out these deals!
65-inch Samsung S95D OLED TV deal: was $3097.99 now $2297.99 at Amazon
65-inch LG G4 OLED TV deal: was $3399.99 now $2296.99 at Amazon
The Samsung S90C is still our picks the best TV available right now, even though it's from 2023, thanks to considerable price drops over time. Right now, the 65-inch model can be found for $1,347, which is the cheapest I've seen it. That's about $100 cheaper than the LG C4, which is a newer TV, but is still about the same image quality, so the S90C remains a bargain.
Stock is running low on the S90C now, though. Cyber Monday will probably be pretty much its last cry, so if you're interested in it, don't miss out!
Don't forget that many of the big streaming services have Cyber Monday deals on! One of the most popular is the Disney Plus and Hulu bundle for just $2.99 per month.
That's for the ad-supported tiers, inevitably, but it's still a lot of TV and movies to watch for very little per month. And these two streamers have a lot of great holiday-season movies, so it's the right time of year to sign up!
Disney Plus and Hulu annual ad-supported plan: was $10.99 per month now $2.99 at Hulu and Disney Plus
When we talk about brightness on TVs, what do we mean? There are two kinds that get talked about most often: Peak HDR Brightness, and Fullscreen Brightness.
Peak HDR Brightness is measured in small windows of bright white on the screen (we use 10% of the screen, manufacturers will use as small as 3% of the screen), and this tends to be the absolute brightest a screen can go for short times. In use, this would affect a high-contrast moment, such as a muzzle flash, or the sun glaring in a space movie.
Fullscreen Brightness is how bright a screen can go over its whole panel for an indefinite amount of time. This affects things like sports where you tend to be watching a bright image the whole time, and the brighter the fullscreen brightness, the less likely you are to be distracted by reflections.
Mini-LED TVs are always brighter than OLED TVs, but high-end OLEDs come very close to mini-LEDs when it comes to Peak HDR Brightness. But for Fullscreen Brightness, mini-LED is still way ahead, usually doubling even the brightest OLEDs.
I've just been invited to see the 160-inch, folding, sculptural C SEED micro-LED TV in person. I don't think it's going to make this hub, on account of costing over $200,000 – but I can't say I'm not excited to see it!
It clever uses the fact that micro-LED TVs can be split into separate panels for its folding design. Unlike the best folding phones (or LG's rollable TV), this is't using a flexible OLED panel; it's multiple separate panels that come together into a seamless whole.
In the last couple of years, the best portable projectors have emerged as a popular alternative to TVs, especially instead of a secondary TV, in situations where you don't care too much about picture quality. Kids rooms, offices, outdoors… or all of these, since the whole point is that they're portable!
They tend to include Wi-Fi to make it easy to stream, so they're truly portable – and some include a battery, so you don't even need to think about power. You can even get pretty good-quality 4K portable projectors that are still small. We love the Samsung Freestyle 2nd Gen and the LG CineBeam Q.
By the way, top tip: make sure you've thoroughly measured your space before you decide which screen size you're going to buy.
Don't be like a certain nameless member of the TechRadar team, who told me what size TV they wanted and what budget would work, so I recommend a TV to fit that need. Then, upon delivery, they discovered that the right-hand edge would be obscured by a piece of wall because it was too wide.
(Yes, the TV is still in use in the same position, several years later.)
Samsung's stylish The Frame TVs have some discounts this Cyber Monday. They're super-popular despite being pretty premium priced, partly thanks to the very wall-hanging friendly design (they're called The Frame for a reason).
The picture-frame-like bezel, the included art store to make them do something interesting when you're not watching TV, and the use of a separate connections and power box (meaning just one slim cable runs to the TV no matter what you have connected to it) means they're TVs that people actually want to have in the home, compared to some of the more tech-looking black rectangles out there.
Samsung The Frame 55-inch QLED TV: was $1,499 now $899 at Samsung
Someone asked us about getting a 100-inch TV, with a budget of around $5k, which was a fun one. Fortunately, our TV Hardware Staff Writer, James Davidson, has had a chance to try some 98-inch and 100-inch TVs (and even directly compare them to projectors), so he was able to give an easy answer.
He recommended the Hisense U8N 100-inch mini-LED TV for $2,999 (was $4,999) at Best Buy. This TV is super-bright, super-rich in color, super-large, and super value. Our Senior TV Editor, Al Griffin, reviewed its more regular-sized version and gave it 4.5 stars in his Hisense U8N review, so this is a big-screen bargain – and leaves $2k spare for a sound system upgrade to match it…
Don't forget that Max's excellent 70% off deal ends soon! You can get six months of the streaming service for that price, so it's just $2.99 per month… not a bad deal to get loads of the hottest shows and movies of this year, and a great back-catalogue to watch over winter.
Max has some great new shows coming in 2025 too, though most of them don't have dates yet, so we can't say which will be included in your subscription time.
Max 'Standard' with ads plan: was $59.94 for 6 months now $17.94 at Max
It's great to have Panasonic's TVs back in the US! The company's been making exquisite OLED TVs for Europe and Asia, known for their premium picture and sound, but US cinephiles have missed out… until September 2024, when the company launched some of its 2024 OLED range.
That includes the Panasonic Z85A, which is a mid-range TV with super-refined colors and detail. It costs around the same as the LG C4, so represents a great alternative – you can read our full Panasonic Z85A review.
Panasonic Z85A 65-inch OLED TV: was $1,799 now $1,399 at Amazon
65 inches too small? 75 inches too large? Got a budget cap of $1,000? Samsung might have the TV that's juuuuuuuuust right.
The Samsung Q60C 70-inch 4K QLED TV is now available for $999. Now, you can get a better 75-inch TV for that price, I want to be clear – the Hisense U7N 75-inch at $900 easily beats the Samsung – but if it's a 70-inch TV you want, from a reliable manufacturer with a good smart TV system… this'll work!
Samsung Q60C 70-inch QLED TV: was $1,199 now $999 at Samsung
What's this? Our favorite 4K Blu-ray player, down to basically its lowest-ever price? Yes, it's been literally a couple of bucks cheaper before, but this is as good as deals get for the Panasonic DP-UB820 4K Blu-ray player.
It's down to $350, and that's a great price for a high-quality, durable (we've seen them run for years and years), extremely well-featured 4K player. Anyone who's invested in a high-end TV and cares about elite picture and sound quality (and the general greatness of physical media) should consider this.
Panasonic DP-UP820 4K Blu-ray player: was $499 now $349 at Amazon
I've just been through and checked all the deals here to make sure prices are up to date and still the best offers available. I've removed some old deals and even added some news ones that are worth checking out!
If that $350 Blu-ray is too much for you, our pick of the more affordable models is the Sony UBP-X700M, which delivers very impressive visuals and sound quality, but cost $158.
It's missing out on some features for audiophiles, but is generally great for movies – the one clear downside is that it doesn't support HDR10+, which some 4K Blu-rays use instead of Dolby Vision. However, if your TV doesn't support HDR10+ either, then that'll hardly be a problem!
Sony UBP-X700M 4K Blu-ray player: was $259 now $158 at Amazon
Interested in a cheap PS5 or even a PS5 Pro with discount to match your fancy new TV? We've got a live guide just like this one following all the latest PS5 and PS5 Pro Cyber Monday deals you can check out.
There's $75 off the PS5 Slim, and good deals on controllers – and nice bundles to be found.
Speaking of the PS5, let's talk about gaming TVs. Any premium TV will be, at the least, very good for gaming. Anything higher-end LG or Samsung in particular is impeccable for gaming performance and features.
It's when you go to the mid-range that things get more complicated. Our full best gaming TVs guide digs into this further, but here's an example: the Hisense U8N is usually our picks as the best mid-range TV, but that's not true in the gaming guide, because the Samsung Q80C has HDMI 2.1 support with 4K 120Hz across all four HDMI ports, whereas the Hisense only has HDMI 2.1 on two of its four ports, making it less futureproof and flexible for gamers.
The most irresistible streaming deal of Cyber Monday is surely getting Hulu for $0.99 per month – but you'll have to hurry.
This deal will end today, so if you want a whole year of Hulu's movies and shows for $12, make sure you jump on this link!
Hulu ad-supported annual plan: was $9.99 per month now $0.99 at Hulu
I've just checked all the deals listed on this page and they remain solid. That means there's still plenty of time to get a great Cyber Monday deal on one of the best TVs, or even a super-cheap Amazon, Insignia, or onn. model for that spare bedroom that either needs a new TV or an updated one.
So you've read all about 4K TVs, but what about 8K TVs? It's no secret that 8K TV's popularity has fallen in recent years, due to the lack of available 8K movies and TV shows and their much higher prices. One brand that has kept the 8K TV flag flying is Samsung.
Although still pricey, there's a Cyber Monday deal to be had on its mid-range 8K 2024 model, the Samsung QN800D. Its 65-inch model has dropped to its lowest price ever of $2,597.99 at Amazon.
While this is still a premium price tag and a lot more than you'd pay for a 4K Samsung mini-LED, what the QN800D does offer is like no other TV, upscaling 4K pictures with added brightness, detail and color.
We realise not many people will want to spend this much and there are better 4K deals out there, but we thought we'd let you know that 8K TV still lives!
Samsung QN800D 65-inch 8K mini-LED TV deal: was $32,97.99 now $2,597.99 at Amazon
Hi there! TV Hardware writer and reviewer James Davidson here, jumping in to tell you about a superb deal available now. The 55-inch LG B3 has fallen to its lowest ever price of $798 at Walmart, so now's your chance to grab a fantastic OLED TV at a more affordable price.
When I reviewed the LG B3, I was impressed at just how much it had to offer. Its picture may not be as bright as its more premium sibling, the C- and G-series OLEDs, but it's still got excellent textures, natural colors and superb contrast. It's also a fantastic gaming option. It was actually my dark horse of the OLED world in 2023 and it earned four-and-a-half stars in my LG B3 review.
LG B3 55-inch OLED TV deal: was $1,199 now $798 at Walmart
The LG C4 is available in a wide range of sizes, from 42-83 inches, and there's a Cyber Monday deal to be had on every single one, even the smallest of the bunch.
The LG C4 42-inch model is available for $896.99 at Amazon. While this may seem pricey for a TV that size, this is arguably the best 42-inch TV you can buy, with superb OLED pictures and a stock of features that make it a great gaming monitor. It's also the cheapest it's ever been.
LG C4 42-inch OLED TV deal: was $946.99 now $896.99 at Amazon
Now that Black Friday has passed and we’re deep into Cyber Monday, it’s time to check in on the Sony Bravia 9. Is Sony’s flagship TV for 2024 getting good discounts out there?
As it turns out, yes. Best Buy is selling the 85-inch version of the Bravia 9 for $3,999 – an $800 discount off the regular price. Yes, $3,999 is quite a lot to pay for a TV, but the Bravia 9 is Sony’s state-of-the-art take on mini-LED backlight technology, offering a higher level of local dimming refinement than any other mini-LED TV we’ve tested, along with high brightness and Sony’s exceptional picture processing. We gave it 5 out of 5 stars in our Sony Bravia 9 review, and the biggest screen model can now be yours in this Cyber Monday deal.
Sony Bravia 9 85-inch mini-LED TV deal: was $4799.99 now $3999.99 at Best Buy
Did you know it's not just the Omni QLED TV that Amazon makes? It also makes plenty of budget sets packed with features as well.
The first is the standard LED Omni series, where the 50-inch model has dropped to $329.99 at Amazon. Even at this budget price you still get Dolby Vision HDR support and Fire TV and its associated features.
There's also the 4-series 55-inch which is available for $339.99 at Amazon. This set also has the Fire TV interface and features and is a great budget price for a 55-inch set.
Amazon Fire TV Omni Series 50-inch deal: was $479.99 now $329.99 at Amazon
Amazon Fire TV 4-series 55-inch deal: was $519.99 now $339.99 at Amazon
If you're looking for a comprehensive soundbar to add to your new TV, the Samsung HW-Q990C has hit an incredible price of $899.99 at Best Buy.
The Q990C was Samsung's flagship soundbar in 2023 and delivers outstanding, immersive and dynamic sound across its 11.1.4 channel speaker array. Bass is punchy but controlled and Dolby Atmos reproduction is superb. If you want a home theater system without trailing cables, this is it.
Samsung HW-Q990C: was $1,899.99 now $899.99 at Best Buy
You can own the brightest TV TechRadar has ever tested for under $1,000. That’s right – the 65-inch TCL QM851G is now only $998 in Amazon’s Cyber Monday deal, while the 75-inch version is only $1.299.99. Those are excellent deals on a TV that earned 4.5 stars from us in our test and is one of the best mini-LED TVs you can buy.
In our TCL QM851G review, we weren’t just impressed with its brightness, but also its excellent local dimming, which brought out high levels of shadow detail even in really dark shows like House of the Dragon on Max. The QM851G also has great gaming features and sound, making it a perfect TV to pick up on Cyber Monday.
TCL QM851G 65-inch mini-LED TV deal: was $1499.99 now $998 at Amazon
TCL QM851G 75-inch mini-LED TV deal: was $1999.99 now $1299.99 at Amazon
Another fantastic soundbar to pair with your new TV is the Sonos Arc. With the release of the Sonos Arc Ultra, there have been plenty of deals on the original Arc and it's hit its lowest ever price of $699.99 at Amazon.
The Sonos Arc is a great all-in-one option that delivers an expansive, punchy sound for both movies and music. It also does a solid job with Dolby Atmos. If you're looking for more, a Sonos Sub and rear speakers like the Sonos Era 100 can be added in at any time.
Sonos Arc soundbar deal: was $899.99 now $699.99 at Amazon
The Criterion Channel is a must-have for any film fan, and the movie streaming service’s Black Friday sale is extending through Cyber Monday. Criterion’s deal gives you 25% off your first year when you get an annual subscription, knocking the price down to $74.99 from $99.99.
Movies on the Criterion Channel are sourced from The Criterion Collection, which is a well-loved source for Blu-ray and 4K Blu-ray disc releases due to the Collection’s fascinating extra features and meticulous restorations. Film fanatics typically watch these discs on the best 4K Blu-ray players, and then supplement their collection with titles streamed from the Criterion Channel.
If you’re already a subscriber, a Criterion Channel annual subscription makes for a great holiday gift! Click on the link below and Sign up with code: MOVIES.

One of the benefits of big sales events like Cyber Monday is big discounts on older models, and we've just found a great deal on one of 2023's best TVs.
The Samsung QN90C is an excellent TV for sports because it has high brightness levels and incredible motion handling. It also makes for a great gaming TV. The 55-inch model has just hit $798 at Walmart, which is a sensational deal for this TV.
Samsung QN90C 55-inch min-LED TV deal: was $1,299.99 now $798 at Walmart
Q: I’m looking at a few TVs and hoping you can guide me to the clear winner:
1) 75-inch LG UT70 $549.99
2) 75-inch Hisense 75U6N $647.99
3) 75-inch Hisense 75U7N $897.99
A: TechRadar has not reviewed the LG UT70, but that’s a direct-lit LED TV, while the Hisense U6N and Hisense U7N, both of which we have reviewed, are mini-LED TVs. The key difference between the two TV tech types is that sets with a mini-LED backlight are generally brighter and have better local dimming, resulting in superior contrast. For that reason, we’d recommend going the mini-LED route, especially since the Cyber Monday price difference between the 75-inch LG UT70 ($549.99) and 75-inch Hisense 75U6N ($647.99) is fairly minimal.
What’s the difference between the Hisense U6N and Hisense U7N ($897.99)? The U7N has a brighter picture and bolder color, and it also has superior gaming features if you’re into gaming. We think the U6N will be the winning choice here, but check out our in-depth comparison of Hisense’s budget mini-LED TVs to help you along with your decision.
75-inch LG UT70 direct-lit LED TV deal: was $749.99 now $549.99 at Best Buy
75-inch Hisense 75U6N mini-LED TV deal: was $848 now $647.99 at Amazon
75-inch Hisense 75U7N mini-LED TV deal: was $1397.99 now $897.99 at Amazon
Amazon’s Fire TV Soundbar is now just $89.99 at Amazon in this deal. That’s a 25% discount on a soundbar that normally sells for $119.99 and a solid Cyber Monday deal.
The Fire TV Soundbar is a basic 2.0-channel model that supports Dolby Audio and DTS Virtual:X processing. It has an HDMI eARC port for connecting to a TV and Bluetooth for wireless music streaming. We liked what we heard in our Amazon Fire TV Soundbar review, especially for the price. The main draw here, of course, is that it's a decent, cheap audio upgrade for your TV, and now even cheaper with this deal.
Amazon Fire TV Soundbar deal: was $119.99 now $89.99 at Amazon
Good news for Hulu subscribers: Alien: Romulus is now available to stream on the service. As a fan of the original two films in the series, Alien (1979) and Aliens (1986), I was curious about the latest entry, which came out this year, and decided to give it a go.
Not only is Alien: Romulus a space-horror thrill ride filled with well-timed jump scares and, as you’d expect, genuinely frightening creatures, but it’s well-acted and the visuals are great. If you have a top-tier Hulu subscription, you can watch it in 4K with Dolby Vision HDR and Dolby Atmos sound, both of which will showcase your TV and soundbar’s capabilities.
Hisense TVs have arguably been the most discounted TVs we've seen over Cyber Monday and this deal might be one of the most ridiculous.
The Hisense U7N 55-inch has hit a record low of $477.99 at Amazon. For a 55-inch set that delivers great picture quality, a good suite of gaming features, the Google TV interface and decent built-in sound, that's amazing value.

Hello! Now that Black Friday and Cyber Monday have officially come to end, so have some of the deals in our guide. I've been through and checked every deal, deleting any where prices have gone back up.
But, there's good news – some offers are still live! There's budget TV bargains and discounts on elite OLEDs still to be had so check out the remaining deals and see if anything catches your eye!
As we head further into the morning on the East Coast, I've checked through all the deals and a few more have ended. But, there are still a few deals floating around!
Of the ones still available, the highlights are the Hisense U8N 65-inch which is $897.99 at Amazon, the same record-low price it was over Black Friday! In fact, deals on the Hisense U6N and U7N are also still live.
There's also the LG B3 55-inch OLED, which is still at the same price of $798 it was yesterday on Cyber Monday. This is excellent value for this TV, so if you're looking grab it before it goes back up again!
