Amazon Big Deal Days headphone deals: huge savings on AirPods, Sony over-ears, cheap earbuds and more
Lots of lowest-ever prices here
Amazon Prime Day headphones deals are always heavy-hitters – and this particular event (which you may call Big Deal Days, Prime Day 2 or just Prime Day because who's counting in 2024?) is no different.
There are great deals live now in both countries, including AirPods Pro 2's cheapest ever price in the UK, Sony's iconic XM4 cans also on offer for their lowest ever price and in the US, the newer XM5-suffixed over-ears now back to their lowest-seen asking price.
It goes without saying that the headphones and earbuds deals in this guide have been chosen based on our hands-on and in-depth reviewing experience, to ensure you're buying something worth the money. Oh, and if the deal isn't as low as we've ever seen, we'll inform you of that as well.
These deals on the best headphones and best earbuds from Apple, Sony, Bose, Samsung and others in many cases reflected a record-low price, and there's a lot to sort through, so we've divided them into separate sections for over-ear headphones and earbuds in the US and the UK. Enjoy – and safe shopping out there!
Not looking for headphones today? That's OK, if this isn't the deal for you, our main Amazon Prime Day hub will have something that is!
Today's best Prime Day earbuds deals – US
- AirPods Pro: a return to lowest-ever prices on AirPods Pro 2
- Sony WH-1000XM5: back to their lowest-ever price
- Nothing Ear (a): cheaper than they've ever been!
Apple AirPods Pro 2 (USB-C): was $249.99 now $168.99 at Amazon
The AirPods Pro 2 are the best-selling earbuds on the planet for a reason, and this is a great deal – they're back down to their lowest ever price of $168.99. You get superb sound quality, top-tier noise cancellation, excellent spatial audio, auto-switching between different Apple devices, and an unloseable case.
Nothing Ear (a): was $109 now $77 at Amazon
They've only been around since April 2024, and this is a tidy $2 cheaper than they've ever been. It's a super saving, especially when they got five sweet stars under intense test conditions, just see our Nothing Ear (a) review for reference. A top Prime Day steal if ever I saw one!
JLab Go Air Pop: was $24.99 now $18.88 at Amazon
Before we get carried away, the JLab Go Air Pop are not the last word in sonic brilliance. But they also aren't bad at all – in fact they're alarmingly good for their lowly asking fee. If this is truly where your budget maxes out, you'll get reliable Bluetooth connectivity, killer battery life, comfortable and light earpieces, and solid musicality on the go. It would be churlish to expect more. We have seen them for around $12 before briefly, but not within the last month.
Galaxy Buds 3 Pro: was $279.98 now $209.99 at Samsung
This rare discount on the all-new Galaxy Buds 3 Pro nets you a 16% saving on their $249 now-regular list price, although we listed the original MSRP above for reference. We very briefly saw a bundle deal on these stemmed Sammers buds that dropped them even lower – and that was before their official release – but it's still a tidy saving on some seriously stylish four-star in-ear headphones to go with your Galaxy smartphone (read our full Galaxy Buds 3 Pro review if you need more), and the lowest they've ever been available on Amazon.
Beats Studio Buds: was $149.95 now $79.99 at Amazon
These Beats buds are back to their joint lowest price right now. Note that these four-star earbuds are not the newer Beats Studio Buds Plus, released in May 2023 (which also received four stars under intense review), but still, if you're after a set of Beats-branded buds for silly money, this deal is impossible to, er… beat!
Today's best Prime Day headphones deals – US
Sony WH-1000XM5: was $399 now $298 at Amazon
Quite simply the best in Sony's class-leading wireless over-ear lineup. The older XM4 were outstanding, the XM3 before it were excellent, and it'll come as little surprise to know that Sony's XM5 proposition is also incredibly hard to beat – especially with a whopping 25% off, equalling their lowest ever seen price! They don't fold up like the XM4, but they are some of the best noise-cancelling headphones money can buy from a trusted retailer – now back at their lowest-seen price.
Apple AirPods Max: was $549 now $394.99 at Amazon
The Apple AirPods Max are back down to the lowest we've seen them. Dolby Atmos spatial audio sound makes them exceptionally good for listening to movies privately, while they also block out environmental noises around you with highly effective noise cancellation. The sound quality is generally excellent, and they come with plenty of smarts for Apple devices. Note, these are the older Lightning ported cans, not the newest USB-C option.
Bose QuietComfort Headphones: was $349 now $229 at Amazon
The Bose QuietComfort Headphones feature noise cancellation that's basically as good as the elite Bose Ultra headphones, but for a much lower price. The sound quality is good, they offer great comfort in a much-loved design, and offer control from the Bose app. This is $30 higher than the cheapest we've seen these headphones to date, but you never know, they may dip back down to $199 before the end of Prime Day.
Beats Studio Pro: was $349.95 now $169.99 at Amazon
This saving makes Beats' newest over-ears half price compared to their launch price. They're gorgeous looking, easy to use and the sound is good, (read about it in our Beats Studio Pro review) so if the lack of multipoint pairing (they do auto-switch with Apple devices, though) and wearer detection doesn't bother you, this is a very solid deal.
Sony ULT Wear: was $199 now $148 at Amazon
These reassuringly big April 2024 over-ears arrived to bridge the gap between Sony's flagship XM-suffixed over-ears and its budget, entry-level WH-CH propositions – and they do a rather good job at that, as our Sony ULT Wear review details. Also, their lowest-seen price before now was $158, so this saving is much improved!
Earfun Wave Pro: was $79.99 now $55.99 at Amazon US
Finally, you can get the fantastic Earfun Wave Pro headphones for just $2 off the lowest we've ever seen them sell for (and that required various codes; this is simple). In our Earfun Wave Pro review, we couldn't get enough of their admirable audio quality, wonderful battery life and impressive build quality. We rated the headphones an astonishingly high 4 and a half stars, so this is a deal not to be missed.
Sony WH-CH720N: was $149.99 now $89 at Amazon
This is another record-low price for Sony headphones – as long as the white colorway suits. As we said in our four-star Sony WH-CH720 review, these mid-range Sony cans pack in a lot of audio finesse and smart features for the price. Unlike Sony's cheaper earbuds, they're not stealing flagship-like performance from the gods, but they're a comfortable, enjoyable listen, and the ANC does a good job of lowering outside noise.
Today's best Prime Day earbuds deals – UK
- Sony: iconic XM4 at their lowest ever price
- AirPods Pro 2: now £10 cheaper than we've ever seen
Apple AirPods Pro 2 (USB-C): was £249 now £179 at Amazon
The AirPods Pro 2 are the best-selling earbuds on the planet for a reason, and Amazon's Big Deal Day sales have the earbuds for an extra 22% off their already-reduced fee of £229. It's also £10 cheaper than their previously lowest ever price of £189, a fee they briefly dropped to in February 2024. What will you get? Superb sound quality, top-tier noise cancellation, excellent spatial audio, auto-switching between different Apple devices, gesture control and more. Highly recommended for this money.
Nothing Ear (a): was £99 now £69.99 at Amazon
They've only been around since April 2024, and this is a return to the cheapest we've ever seen them sell for in the UK. Considering their relative youth, wealth of talent and the fact that they got five sweet stars under intense test conditions (just see our Nothing Ear (a) review for reference) this 29% saving is a huge win.
Earfun Air Pro 3: were £69.99 now £49.99 at Amazon UK
We like these earbuds a lot for their price, as you can read in our Earfun Air Pro 3 review. The real pull here is shockingly cheap ANC, but these buds are great all-rounders too, and at less than £50, you're sure to be satisfied with them. They amazingly future-proof when it comes to features, too, considering the cheap price – and this equals the cheapest we've ever seen for them.
Beats Studio Buds Plus: was £179 now £119.99 at Amazon
A return to their lowest-seen price! Beats' May 2023 earbuds, with their winsome design and smart features for both iPhone and Android boast better ANC and more features than their non-Pro suffixed siblings. Read about them in our four-star Beats Studio Buds Plus review.
Today's best Prime Day headphones deals – UK
Sony WH-1000XM4: was £350 now £179 at Amazon
This discount is the lowest price we've ever seen for these superb Sony noise-cancelling headphones – by a whole tenner! Although the listed saving is 7%, a quick glance at the original RRP proves you're saving a whopping 48% on the original asking fee. You'd have to spend a lot more to get your hands on ANC over-ears that out-perform these Sony stunners. This is the best price yet on what is truly a modern classic – and they may not be around for much longer. Bargain!
Beats Studio Pro: was £349.99 now £219.99 at Amazon
This is the cheapest price we're aware of for Beat's latest noise-cancelling over-ears since their launch. As with all Beats headphones, they look beautiful, and come with great smart features for both Apple devices and Android. In our review, we praised their sound quality and ease of use when it came to features like personalized spatial audio.
Bose QuietComfort Headphones: was £349 now £179 at Amazon
The Bose QuietComfort Headphones feature noise cancellation that's basically as good as the elite Bose Ultra headphones, but for a much lower price. The sound quality is good, they offer great comfort in a much-loved design, and offer control from the Bose app. This is the cheapest we've seen these headphones to date, so don't miss out.
Sony WH-CH720: was £99.99 now £78 at Amazon
These dropped to £70 over the last Prime Day, but even this price with an extra £8 added back on is cheap for what they are. As we said in our four-star Sony WH-CH720 review, these Sony cans pack in a lot of audio finesse and smart features for the price. Unlike Sony's cheaper earbuds, they're not stealing flagship-like performance from the gods, but they're a comfortable, enjoyable listen, and the ANC does a good job of lowering outside noise.
Sony ULT Wear: was £179 now £129 at Amazon
These April 2024 issue over-ears were launched to bridge the monetary gap between Sony's flagship XM-suffixed offering and its budget, entry-level WH-CH options – and they do a good job at that, as our Sony ULT Wear review describes. Oh, and their lowest-seen price before this was £149, so this is a tidy new £20 discount on top of that. Nice!
