Amazon Spring Sale standing desk deals: Editor's picks
Easily one of the top-rated desks we've ever reviewed (read it here), we awarded this the full 5 stars and found it delivered the perfect blend of features for the price. Height range is 28 to 47in, and other tabletop sizes and styles are available.
In the UK? The Branch Duo isn't available, but for the price, I'd be looking to the Desktronic standing desk, was £550 now £510 at Amazon.
For anyone who just wants a simple standing desk at a fair price, I like the FlexiSpot EN1. This brand makes some of the top models we've reviewed, so expect a good quality build here. It's quiet in operation and height adjustable between 28.9 to 46.5in. You can get it in a range of sizes and colors to suit different workspaces.
In the UK? The FlexiSpot Lite is currently down to £102 at Amazon.
A true budget pick, and one of the best you can get for the price. We tend to find Fezibo desks can be lacking in construction quality compared to more expensive models, but for the cost, there's not much to complain about. This one rises between 28.3 and 45in, and is quiet to use. Comes in a range of sizes and styles.
In the UK? The Fezibo electric standing desk was £90 now £63 at Amazon.
This one is a good cheap desk for those who need extra storage and a lot of desk-space (it's 55in). Here, you get a monitor shelf with two drawers set within it, freeing up some extra space. Loads of sizes and styles available for this desk, which rises between 27.3 and 46in.
In the UK? This Fezibo desk was £120 now £100 at Amazon.
Excellent choice for those looking for a premium standing desk without a premium price-tag. Height range is a great 28 to 47.6in, but what really catches my eye is the under-desk tray and the cable management included in the box.
In the UK? Check out the FlexiSpot EW8M with drawer and fast-charge ports, was £300 now £220 with voucher at Amazon.
With the discount, this is a good mid-range standing desk boasting dual motors and a very generous height range of 23.6 to 48.8in. All core features are present, including programmable control panel.
In the UK? Check out the similar FlexiSpot E5 was £300 now £255 at Amazon. We loved it when we took this one for a spin.
Save $30 on the Smug electric standing deskm which lets you easily customize your preferred height thanks to the high-quality motor and LED display. The desk features hooks for hanging bags or headphones, and has height adjustability between 28.7 and 48in. Available in a range of sizes and colors
Like your desk already? Then this a great bit of kit for bring sit-stand flexibility into your space. The height adjustment of this standing desk converter ranges between 4.7 and 19.7in. The converter is available in a range of sizes, most of which are discounted.
In the UK I'd go for the Vivo standing desk converter was £100 now £80 at Amazon.
In my experience, L-shaped standing desks don’t often come this cheap. We’ve had good experiences with Fezibo, too, whose budget desks are better than you might think. This broad desktop features anti-collision detection, hanging hooks, and a height range of 27.6 to 46.9in. And I really like the vintage wood style, although it also comes in black and white.
In the UK the Fezibo L-shaped standing desk was £300 now £250 at Amazon.
Amazon Spring Sale standing desk deals: what to look for
Show more
Here are a few factors we always check when reviewing these types of desks, and what you ought to look for when selecting one in the Spring Sale.
Size
Standing desks come in a massive range of sizes, so measure up the space first to ensure your new desk will fit your workspace. It should offer up a lot of surface area without dominating the room.
Height and adjustment
Most desks will be suitable for most heights, but check the minimum and maximum height to ensure you stay comfortable when sitting and when you're on your feet at work.
Elevation
I've opted for motorized electric standing desks here, which should be relatively quiet in operation, making them efficient and suitable for shared working environments. More motors means faster elevation, while you can also get manual hand-crank models that are slower but need no power.
Materials and design
Look for desks that use solid materials in the construction of both the frame and the tabletop. Carbon steel is a relatively inexpensive but stable material you'll often see used. We also see these desks come in a range of colors, some with contoured edges for better ergonomics.
Cable management
For my money, the top models will come with some sort of cable management solution, from grooves to the back where you can thread all necessary cables up, to full trays beneath the tabletop for holding all cables at once.
Storage
Not a deal-breaker, but a preference - I quite like sit-stand desks that offer storage, whether that's a built-in drawer or a monitor shelf. Note, the drawers on cheaper desks are usually lightweight and made of fabric, so you won't want to overload them.
Price
We're constantly assessing price and value for money when we review any standing desk. We don't expect every desk to be the cheapest ever, but we will look to see how many features it includes compared to similarly priced models. As a rule of thumb, Fezibo is your budget range, FlexiSpot is low to mid-range, and brands like Branch and Vari are higher-end for executives and professionals.
