Good news, Atlanta fans – season 3 of Donald Glover’s off-beat comedy finally has a release date in the UK.
Having debuted on Hulu in the US on March 24, the show's long-awaited third outing is coming to Disney Plus Star on Wednesday, June 29. All ten episodes will arrive simultaneously, joining the first and second seasons of Atlanta already available to watch on the streaming service.
This will mark the first time a new season of Atlanta has debuted on Disney Plus in the UK. In the years prior to the streamer’s existence, new episodes have aired on BBC Two (and BBC iPlayer) before finding their way onto Sky and Now TV.
Atlanta season 2 was released in March 2018, meaning it’s been more than four years since fans of the show last saw Earn (Donald Glover), Paper Boi (Brian Tyree Henry), Darius (LaKeith Stanfield) and Van (Zazie Beetz) causing musical mayhem in the titular American city.
Rather than taking viewers back to Atlanta, though, new episodes will follow the quartet as they make their way through various European locales – including London, Paris and Copenhagen – and struggle to adjust to their newfound success.

Now that the series has found an overseas home on Disney Plus, it’s not yet clear whether the BBC will also have the rights to stream Atlanta season 3 in the UK. Our guess, though, is that fans of the show will have to fork out for a subscription to Disney’s burgeoning streamer if they want to continue enjoying the adventures of Paper Boi and company.

This won’t be the last season of Atlanta, either. Production house FX renewed the series for a fourth outing way back in 2019 – almost three years before season 3 began airing in the US – though we doubt the wait for those episodes will be anywhere near as long as the four-year hiatus between Atlanta’s second and third seasons.
In any case, Disney Plus is now the go-to home for the show’s new and old entries. If you’re keen to watch Atlanta but haven’t subscribed yet, check out our helpful guide to navigating Disney Plus’ various bundles and subscription packages.
