Black Friday is well and truly underway in the US, UK, and Australia, and we're seeing some great Black Friday deals on the best iPads Apple has to offer at retailers in all three countries.

In the US, you can nab the latest 10.9-inch iPad at Amazon for just $250 (was $349) thanks to a $90 discount and a free $9 coupon. Meanwhile, in the UK, we've spotted the 11-inch iPad Air at John Lewis for £559.97 (was £599), while in Australia, the iPad Pro is available for a record-low AU$825 thanks to Amazon's AU$75 discount and up to AU$800 of trade-in credit.

Below, we've highlighted the best Black Friday iPad deals currently live. For more general tablet deals, check out our Black Friday tablet deals page.

Today's best iPad deals in the US

Apple iPad 10.2 (2021)
Apple iPad 10.2 (2021): was $329 now $199.99 at bestbuy.com

Best Buy has discounted the iPad 10.2 (2021) – also known as the iPad 9th-generation – to a record-equaling low price ahead of Black Friday. Despite its age, this iPad offers a gorgeous 10.2-inch screen with True Tone technology, decent battery life (we got around 10 hours in our testing), and it'll also continue to be supported with software updates until at least 2027. Put simply, the iPad 10.2 (2021) is the best iPad if you're on a budget, and we don't expect to see Best Buy's $199.99 price bettered in the coming months (the same deal was previously available at Amazon, but it's now sold out).

Apple iPad mini (2024)
Apple iPad mini (2024): was $499.99 now $399.99 at Amazon

Amazon's Black Friday sale has knocked a giant $100 off the price of the brand-new, M4-powered iPad mini. You'll have to select the coupon to activate the maximum saving, which applies to every color variant. You'll have to choose the Space Gray model for the maximum saving, though smaller discounts are also available on the other color variants. In our Apple iPad mini A17 Pro (2024) review, we praised the new tablet's "pocket-friendly design" and "ability to support Apple Intelligence."

Apple iPad mini (2021)
Apple iPad mini (2021): was $499 now $389 at Walmart

If you'd rather not splash out on Apple's latest mini model, the previous-gen iPad mini remains a fantastic all-rounder. Its powerful A15 Bionic chip delivers all the performance most people need, while the 8.3-inch Liquid Retina display is small enough to make the device beautifully portable. Walmart's $110 discount is impressive (and similar savings are available on the 256GB variant), though we have seen this iPad as low as $349.99 at Amazon previously.

Apple iPad 10.9 (2022)
Apple iPad 10.9 (2022): was $349 now $250 at Amazon

Apple slashed the recommended starting price of the iPad 10.9 (2022) to $349 earlier this year, but Amazon has now dropped that figure even further, to a record-low $250 (if you apply the free coupon). In our iPad 10.9 (2022) review, we said Apple's latest base-level tablet is a big upgrade over the previous generation model, offering a larger Liquid Retina display, a new A14 Bionic chip, improved cameras, USB-C support, and a sleek design.

Apple iPad Air 11-inch (2024)
Apple iPad Air 11-inch (2024): was $599 now $499 at Amazon

The new iPad Air is the closest thing you can get to an iPad Pro without having to pay upwards of $1,000, which is why we believe it's the best iPad for students in 2024. For over half the price of Apple's professional-grade iPad, you'll get a beautiful Liquid Retina display, a MacBook-level M2 chipset, a landscape-oriented front-facing camera, and landscape stereo speakers with spatial audio. Amazon's current $499 deal is a record-low price, though right now it's only available on the Blue, Starlight, and Space Gray variants.

Apple iPad Pro 11-inch (2024)
Apple iPad Pro 11-inch (2024): was $999 now $924 at Walmart

Walmart's $924 deal on the new iPad Pro is still the best on the internet. In our iPad Pro (2024) review (albeit for the 13-inch model), we describe Apple's latest flagship tablet as "the impossibly thin king of iPads – and maybe all tablets." Naturally, that level of quality comes at a premium, but Black Friday season is a great time to snag a discount. It's worth noting, though, that we saw the 11-inch iPad Pro for as low as $899 during Amazon's most recent Prime Day sale, so it may return to that price at the mega-retailer soon.

Apple iPad Pro 13-inch (2024)
Apple iPad Pro 13-inch (2024): was $1,299 now $1,099 at Amazon

If you want the biggest and best iPad, Amazon has the iPad Pro 13-inch (2024) on sale right now. It's a mighty tablet and one that's all the more attractive with $200 off its price tag. This deal applies to all color and storage variants, so whichever configuration you choose, you'll save yourself $200.

Apple Pencil Pro
Apple Pencil Pro: was $129 now $98 at Amazon

The Apple Pencil Pro isn’t just the flagship Apple Pencil; with support for the iPad Pro and iPad Air, it offers an ultra-low latency experience to mimic writing or drawing with pencil or pen on paper. You can also Squeeze the Apple Pencil Pro to pull up a palette for even more customization. Amazon's current $98 price is an almost-record-low (it was briefly $89 in October).

Apple iPad 10.2 (2021)
Apple iPad 10.2 (2021): was £300 now £229 at Laptops Direct

Laptops Direct has discounted the iPad 10.2 (2021) – also known as the iPad 9th-generation – to a market-leading price ahead of Black Friday. Despite its age, this iPad offers a gorgeous 10.2-inch screen with True Tone technology, decent battery life (we got around 10 hours in our testing), and it'll also continue to be supported with software updates until at least 2027. Put simply, the iPad 10.2 (2021) is the best iPad if you're on a budget. This deal was actually as low as £219 just a few days ago, but it's since risen slightly.

Apple iPad mini (2024)
Apple iPad mini (2024): was £499 now £474 at Amazon

Amazon's Black Friday sale has knocked £25 off the price of the brand-new, M4-powered iPad mini. This small but welcome saving applies to all color variants, and the 256GB model has been discounted, too. In our Apple iPad mini A17 Pro (2024) review, we praised the new tablet's "pocket-friendly design" and "ability to support Apple Intelligence." Even if you can find the previous-gen iPad mini on sale for cheaper than £474, we think this new model is the better, more future-proof buy.

Apple iPad 10.9 (2022)
Apple iPad 10.9 (2022): was £329 now £289 at John Lewis

Apple slashed the recommended starting price of the iPad 10.9 (2022) to £349 earlier this year, but John Lewis has now dropped that figure even further, to a record-low £289. We said Apple's latest base-level tablet is a big upgrade over the previous generation model in our iPad 10.9 (2022) review; it's got a larger Liquid Retina display, a new A14 Bionic chip, improved cameras, USB-C support, and a sleek design.

Apple iPad Air 11-inch (2024)
Apple iPad Air 11-inch (2024): was £599 now £559 at Amazon

The new iPad Air is the closest thing you can get to an iPad Pro without having to pay upwards of £1,000, which is why we believe it's the best iPad for students in 2024. For almost half the price of Apple's professional-grade iPad, you'll get a beautiful Liquid Retina display, a MacBook-level M2 chipset, a landscape-oriented front-facing camera, and landscape stereo speakers with spatial audio. Granted, this Amazon deal isn't a great one, but £559 is still the best price you'll find for the new iPad Air (well, it's technically tied with Very and John Lewis).

Apple iPad Pro 11-inch (2024)
Apple iPad Pro 11-inch (2024): was £999 now £937 at Amazon

In our iPad Pro (2024) review (albeit for the 13-inch model), we describe Apple's latest flagship tablet as "the impossibly thin king of iPads – and maybe all tablets." Naturally, that level of quality comes at a premium, but Amazon has seen fit to discount the 256GB, Wi-Fi-only variant of the 11-inch iPad Pro (2024) to a slightly more digestible price of £937 ahead of Black Friday. If stock runs low, EE is offering the same model for £956.

Apple iPad Pro 13-inch (2024)
Apple iPad Pro 13-inch (2024): was £1,299 now £1,218 at John Lewis

If you want the biggest and best iPad, both Amazon and John Lewis have the iPad Pro 13-inch (2024) on sale right now. It's a mighty tablet and one that's all the more attractive with £80 off its price tag (even if this isn't the greatest deal in the world).

Today's best iPad deals in Australia

Apple iPad Pro (11-inch)
Apple iPad Pro (11-inch): was AU$1,699 now AU$825 at Amazon

Amazon has made it possible to get the outrageously overpowered iPad Pro for just AU$825, thanks to a AU$75 discount and a generous trade-in of up to AU$800 via Amazon partner NorthLadder. This M4 chipset-imbued powerhouse is as tuned-up as an iPad can get, and frankly is as capable as an iPad needs to be. The latest iPad Pro also comes equipped with Apple's proprietary tandem OLED screen, one of the best displays on any device, period. Add in 8GB of RAM and support for both the Apple Pencil Pro and upcoming Apple Intelligence features, and the value for money here keeps spiralling upwards.

Apple 2022 iPad 10.9 (Wi-Fi, 64GB)
Apple 2022 iPad 10.9 (Wi-Fi, 64GB): was AU$599 now AU$486 at Amazon

It might not be the latest model but the 2022 iPad sure is great value even at full price. If you don't need a lot of storage, the 64GB Wi-Fi option is now 19% off, dropping it back to the lowest price that we saw in late October. For your money, you're getting a tablet with a decent A14 Bionic chip, a 12MP rear and front camera, plus Touch ID and Apple Pay. Available in blue and silver.

Apple 2022 iPad 10.9 (Wi-Fi, 256GB)
Apple 2022 iPad 10.9 (Wi-Fi, 256GB): was AU$849 now AU$736 at Amazon

If you need something with more space than the 64GB on offer with the above model, Amazon is also discounting the same 10.9-inch 2022 model in its larger 256GB capacity. As with the 64GB, this 13% off deal's only available on the silver and blue versions.

Apple iPad Air 13 (M2, Wi-Fi, 256GB)
Apple iPad Air 13 (M2, Wi-Fi, 256GB): was AU$1,477 now AU$1,317 at JB Hi-Fi

It's only 11% off but that's standard discounting for Apple's more premium iPads, even during Black Friday. But if you want some grunt under the hood of your new tablet, consider this saving on the 13-inch iPad Air. The M2 chip gives it some serious chops, it's Wi-Fi 6 enabled and comes with a USB-C port.

When will the Black Friday iPad deals start in 2024?

In short: they already have. Black Friday lands on November 29 this year, but retailers are already starting to offer deals on iPads and other tech products as momentum towards the day itself builds.

We're in the midst of 'deals season' following Amazon's second Prime Day sale in October, which inspired rival sales such as Best Buy's 48-hour flash sale. With plenty of iPad models available, and even more discontinued units for retailers to clear out, expect to see a healthy supply of iPad deals from now through to the end of November.

Is Black Friday the best time to buy an iPad?

Black Friday typically presents a great opportunity to buy an iPad. While Apple isn't known for cheap prices, the capability-to-price ratio across the iPad range has generally increased each year, and with Black Friday savings, it's almost always possible to snag an incredibly powerful tablet for a very reasonable price.

Indeed, we're already seeing the hefty price tags of the iPad Air and iPad Pro lines moderated by Black Friday savings, while the lower-end iPad and iPad mini are beginning to enter true budget territory. So long as you know what to expect from each model, it's hard to go wrong with an iPad – Apple's lineup absolutely dominates our list of the best tablets, and our picks for the best iPads come from all over the price spectrum.

Why trust TechRadar this Black Friday

TechRadar has reviewed and extensively tested almost every Apple iPad since their introduction in 2010, so we know what we're talking about when imparting advice on which iPad model to buy.

Similarly, we keep our eyes firmly locked on sales events throughout the year (think Prime Day, Memorial Day, and, of course, Black Friday), and track the lowest prices of the most popular products (iPads included), so we know a good discount when we see it. This combination of product expertise and sales knowledge means we're well-placed to advise you on this year's best Black Friday iPad deals.
