Cyberthreats have evolved: Norton protection has too

TechRadar calls it “One of the most comprehensive security suites around, with no major weak spots” and it is easy to see why. The new Norton 360 “is a powerful set of tools which will keep you safe just about anywhere.”

Online threats have evolved tremendously as smartphones bring exciting features usually found on a traditional Windows product to a device that you can carry all the time, wherever you go. This proliferation of gadgets has been a boon for cyber criminals.

This is also one of the reasons why Norton 360 exists.; it gives comprehensive protection to devices that are protected by it and removes the need to acquire other products that may not integrate well with each other.

With Norton 360 Premium, you get device security for up to 10 devices (PC, Mac, smartphone and tablets), tackling four major attack vectors (anti-spyware, antivirus, malware and ransomware protection).

There’s also an intelligent and very capable firewall, up to 75GB PC cloud storage, a password manager, a powerful VPN, parental control, a spam filter (PC-only),  and other security and privacy-focused features.

The antivirus

The antivirus engine that lies at the core of Norton 360 family is the same across all the three versions available (Norton 360 Standard, Norton 360 Deluxe and Norton 360 Premium). It delivers advanced security capabilities and protects against existing and emerging online threats thanks on one side, to a combination of powerful artificial intelligence and machine learning and on the other, to being part of one of the world’s largest civilian cyber intelligence networks.

The cloud backup

Backing up your content means that you can protect your precious files from human error, hardware failure, theft and ransomware attacks by putting them away in a secure server. Norton LifeLock offers solutions that have multiple layers of protection to help defend against ransomware attacks.

 The VPN

A Virtual Private Network allows you to browse the internet anonymously while keeping your PC and its data away from prying eyes. Norton Secure VPN encrypts the data to and from your computer, protecting you from criminals who want to spy on your internet activity. VPNs are best used as part of a suite with an antivirus as they do not, by themselves, secure a device.

The Firewall

This is an additional layer of security that blocks unwanted or dangerous incoming or outgoing traffic from a device. It is, according to TechRadar, one of the highlights of Norton 360 and works transparently without user intervention in most cases.

These are the major features of Norton 360 Premium; why not try it for yourself?
