If you're looking for a way to top up your festive spirits, make sure to check out Huawei's Light Up My Xmas Tree activity.
It’s a way to interact with friends online, you’ll earn a community badge and can even get your hands on discounts coupons for the Huawei store and some brilliant prizes. Here’s how it works.
The easiest way to access Light Up My Xmas Tree is in the My Huawei app. If this is not on your Huawei phone or tablet already, take a quick trip to the Huawei AppGallery and give it a download.
We recommend checking if there’s an update for My Huawei if you do have the app, but can’t find Huawei’s Light Up My Xmas Tree.
It should appear in a banner at the top of the screen. Give it a tap and you can activate up your very first Xmas tree light.
Next up you’ll want to invite friends to do the same using the Invite a Friend to Light Up link. When they click through they’ll get their own Xmas tree light lit, and can also light another of yours.
The more friends you get involved, the more lights you can get shining up the tree, and the more extras you will unlock.
First of all you will unlock a Community Badge. This lives in your My Huawei account. It’s an achievement trophy similar to the kind you might see in a fitness tracker app or game console.
Huawei’s unlocks only get more interesting after that. You can get hold of a Huawei New Year card, discount coupons and grand prizes — including some of Huawei’s most popular devices like the brilliant Huawei Watch GT2e smartwatch. This offers two-week battery life, a bold OLED screen, Full GPS tracking, and it lets you read your phone notifications from your wrist.
Get to lighting up that Christmas tree today, and Huawei’s Community admin team will contact all the winners with details of their prize redemption codes at the end of the promo period. It’s not a bad way to spend a few minutes, and there’s always more to find in the My Huawei app while you’re there.
