HP has announced the availability of its new convertible Chromebook in India. This new lightweight laptop comes with a 360-degree hinge that allows it to be used as a laptop, tablet or in the tent mode to watch content on the device.

This new Chromebook is aimed at students looking to attend classes remotely and comes equipped with a 14-inch touch-sensitive display that offers HD resolution.

The HP x360 14a Chromebook weighs just less than 1.5kgs and is available in three colour options namely - Mineral Silver, Ceramic White, and Forrest Teal. The retail price of this Chromebook has been set at Rs. 29,999 and as a launch offer the company is offering a complimentary one-year subscription to Google One offering 100GB of cloud storage free for a year.

The laptop is available to purchase on Amazon and will be available on other partner retail stores starting May 1.

HP Chromebook x360 14a features and specifications 

The new HP Chromebook x360 14a comes equipped with a 14-inch LCD IPS display that is touch-friendly and offers HD resolution. This display offers a screen-to-body ratio of 81% and the same display can be found on the AMD-powered Chromebook from the company.

Aimed at students, this Chromebook weighs just 1.49 kgs making it highly portable and easy to carry around. Powering the Chromebook is Intel’s Celeron N4120 chipset coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of eMMC storage.

For video calls, the Chromebook has a wide vision camera that offers up to 88-degree FoV. As for connectivity, the Chromebook comes with a couple of USB Type-C, 1 USB Type-A and 1 headphone/microphone combo jack.

Powering the Chromebook is a 2 cell 47 Wh battery that the company claims can offer up to 14 hours of backup. The Chromebook comes with a fully backlit keyboard with an “Everything Key” that offers quick access to Google search as well as other keyboard shortcuts.
