Black Friday is almost upon us, but early Black Friday deals on Apple's best iPads are already beginning to appear, meaning now is a great time to pick up an otherwise expensive iPad for a cut price.

In the US, for instance, the iPad 10.9 (2022) is now just $298 (was $349) at Amazon, while in the UK, shoppers can pick up the brand new 11-inch iPad Pro for just £955.99 (was £999) at EE.

In this guide, we've rounded up the best Black Friday iPad deals available now, and we'll be adding to the below list as we approach the big day itself. We've also included some guidance on what to look out for this sales season if you're keen to go the bargain hunt alone.

Today's best iPad deals in the US

iPad 10.2 (2021)$329 $199.99 at Amazon

iPad 10.2 (2021): was $329 now $199.99 at Amazon
Amazon has discounted the iPad 10.2 (2021) – also known as the iPad 9th-generation – to a record-equaling low price ahead of Black Friday. Despite its age, this iPad offers a gorgeous 10.2-inch screen with True Tone technology, decent battery life (we got around 10 hours in our testing), and it'll also continue to be supported with software updates until at least 2027. Put simply, the iPad 10.2 (2021) is the best iPad if you're on a budget, and we don't expect to see Amazon's $199.99 price bettered in the coming months.

iPad mini (2021): $499$389.99 at Walmart

iPad mini (2021): was $499 now $389.99 at Walmart
Apple's previous-gen iPad mini is a fantastic all-rounder. The powerful A15 Bionic chip delivers all the performance most people need, while the 8.3-inch Liquid Retina display is small enough to make the device beautifully portable. This display has True Tone support, P3 wide color, and ultra-low reflectivity, so it looks great wherever you're using it. Walmart's $110 discount is impressive, though we have seen this iPad as low as $349.99 at Amazon previously.

iPad 10.9 (2022): $349$298 at Amazon

iPad 10.9 (2022): was $349 now $298 at Amazon
Apple slashed the recommended starting price of the iPad 10.9 (2022) to $349 earlier this year, but Amazon has now dropped that figure even further. It's great value for money at this price if you need an all-around tablet. We said Apple's latest base-level tablet is a big upgrade over the previous generation model in our iPad 10.9 (2022) review, with a larger Liquid Retina display, a new A14 Bionic chip, improved cameras, USB-C support, and a sleek design.

iPad Air 11-inch (2024): $599$549 at Amazon

iPad Air 11-inch (2024): was $599 now $549 at Amazon
The new iPad Air is the closest thing you can get to an iPad Pro without having to pay upwards of $1,000, which is why we believe it's the best iPad for students in 2024. For almost half the price of Apple's professional-grade iPad, you'll get a beautiful Liquid Retina display, a MacBook-level M2 chipset, a landscape-oriented front-facing camera, and landscape stereo speakers with spatial audio. Granted, this Amazon deal isn't great on paper, but $549 for the Space Grey model is still the best price you'll find for the new iPad Air right now (if you want a different color for a similarly low price, head to Walmart).

iPad Pro 11-inch (2024):$999$924 at Walmart

iPad Pro 11-inch (2024): was $999 now $924 at Walmart
Both Amazon and Best Buy have the new iPad Pro on sale for around $949 right now, but Walmart's $924 deal price trumps the lot. In our iPad Pro (2024) review (albeit for the 13-inch model), we describe Apple's latest flagship tablet as "the impossibly thin king of iPads – and maybe all tablets." Naturally, that level of quality comes at a premium, but Black Friday season is a great time to snag a discount. It's worth noting, though, that we saw the 11-inch iPad Pro for as low as $899 during Amazon's most recent Prime Day sale, so it may return to that price soon.

iPad Pro 13-inch (2024):$1,299$1,194 at Amazon

iPad Pro 13-inch (2024): was $1,299 now $1,194 at Amazon
If you want the biggest and best iPad, Amazon has the iPad Pro 13-inch (2024) on sale right now. It's a mighty tablet and one that's all the more attractive with $105 off its price tag, though this deal only applies to the silver model at the time of writing. For deals on the black model at larger storage capacities, head to Best Buy).

Apple Pencil Pro:$129$117 at Amazon

Apple Pencil Pro: was $129 now $117 at Amazon
The Apple Pencil Pro isn’t just the flagship Apple Pencil; with support for the iPad Pro and iPad Air, it offers an ultra-low latency experience to mimic writing or drawing with pencil or pen on paper. You can also Squeeze the Apple Pencil Pro to pull up a palette for even more customization. Amazon's current $117 price is okay, though we've seen the Pencil Pro on sale for as low as $97 before, so we'd suggest holding out on this one.

iPad 10.2 (2021)£300 £219 at Laptops Direct

iPad 10.2 (2021): was £300 now £219 at Laptops Direct
Laptops Direct has discounted the iPad 10.2 (2021) – also known as the iPad 9th-generation – to a market-leading price ahead of Black Friday. Despite its age, this iPad offers a gorgeous 10.2-inch screen with True Tone technology, decent battery life (we got around 10 hours in our testing), and it'll also continue to be supported with software updates until at least 2027. Put simply, the iPad 10.2 (2021) is the best iPad if you're on a budget.

iPad 10.9 (2022): £349£308 at Amazon

iPad 10.9 (2022): was £349 now £308 at Amazon
Apple slashed the recommended starting price of the iPad 10.9 (2022) to £349 earlier this year, but Amazon has now dropped that figure even further. This deal is great value for money if you need an all-around tablet. We said Apple's latest base-level tablet is a big upgrade over the previous generation model in our iPad 10.9 (2022) review, with a larger Liquid Retina display, a new A14 Bionic chip, improved cameras, USB-C support, and a sleek design. If stock runs low, John Lewis is offering the same deal on the same colors.

iPad Air 11-inch (2024): £599£559 at Amazon

iPad Air 11-inch (2024): was £599 now £559 at Amazon
The new iPad Air is the closest thing you can get to an iPad Pro without having to pay upwards of £1,000, which is why we believe it's the best iPad for students in 2024. For almost half the price of Apple's professional-grade iPad, you'll get a beautiful Liquid Retina display, a MacBook-level M2 chipset, a landscape-oriented front-facing camera, and landscape stereo speakers with spatial audio. Granted, this Amazon deal isn't a great one, but £559 is still the best price you'll find for the new iPad Air (well, it's technically tied with Very and John Lewis).

iPad Pro 11-inch (2024):£999£955.99 at EE

iPad Pro 11-inch (2024): was £999 now £955.99 at EE
In our iPad Pro (2024) review (albeit for the 13-inch model), we describe Apple's latest flagship tablet as "the impossibly thin king of iPads – and maybe all tablets." Naturally, that level of quality comes at a premium, but EE has seen fit to discount the 256GB, Wi-Fi-only variant of the 11-inch iPad Pro (2024) to a slightly more digestible price ahead of Black Friday. Not even Amazon is offering this price right now.

iPad Pro 13-inch (2024):£1,299£1,249 at Amazon

iPad Pro 13-inch (2024): was £1,299 now £1,249 at Amazon
If you want the biggest and best iPad, both Amazon and John Lewis have the iPad Pro 13-inch (2024) on sale right now. It's a mighty tablet and one that's all the more attractive with £50 off its price tag (even if this isn't the greatest deal in the world).

Black Friday iPad deals: FAQs

When will the Black Friday iPad deals start in 2024?

In short: they already have. Black Friday lands on November 29 this year, but retailers are already starting to offer deals on iPads and other tech products as momentum towards the day itself builds. Expect to see 'Black Friday' tags on retailer websites and in stores well before November 29.

We're in the midst of 'deals season' following Amazon's second Prime Day sale in October, which inspired rival sales such as Best Buy's 48-hour flash sale. With plenty of iPad models available, and even more discontinued units for retailers to clear out, we're expecting to see a healthy supply of iPad deals from now through to the end of November.

Is Black Friday the best time to buy an iPad?

Black Friday typically presents a great opportunity to buy an iPad. While Apple isn't known for cheap prices, the capability to price ratio across the iPad range has generally increased each year, and with Black Friday savings it may be possible to snag an incredibly powerful tablet for a very reasonable price.

We'll likely see the hefty price tags of the iPad Air and iPad Pro lines moderated by Black Friday savings, while the lower end iPad and iPad mini could hit truly budget prices. So long as you know what to expect from each model, it's hard to go wrong with an iPad – Apple's lineup absolutely dominates our list of the best tablets, and our picks for the best iPads come from all over the price spectrum.

What Black Friday iPad deals do I want to see in 2024?

Black Friday iPad deals tend to cover the entire range of Apple tablets, but the most impressive offers come towards the lower end of the price range. I'd love to see the base model iPad fall below $300 / £300, which would make it a great buy for those looking for a casual or family device. Furthermore, discounts of around $150 / £150 on the 11-inch iPad Air would make it an easy choice for students thanks to its powerful M2 chipset (it's already on sale, but not for that little just yet).

As for the higher-end iPads – the 13-inch Air and both iPad Pro models – I'd expect to see more moderate discounts to sweeten these tablets' hefty price tags. I'm optimistically hoping to see the 13-inch iPad Pro fall below $1,100 / £1,100, which would be a rather reasonable price for Apple's best tablet. As per last year's Amazon sale, I'd expect to see discounts of $100 on the 11-inch iPad Pro and the 13-inch iPad Air, which would offer some serious value for money.

The higher-end iPads won't be cheap even with these savings, but if you're thinking of buying one for professional work or creativity (or just want the best of the best) Black Friday will likely be your chance to save some serious money.
