Sevilla vs Inter Milan live stream: how to watch the 2020 Europa League Final anywhere
Spanish and Italian giants contest one of Europe's biggest honours in Cologne
This event has now ended. Original article follows.
It's everything we could have wanted and more. The 2019/20 Europa League Final in Cologne saw a phenomenal first-half result in a scoreline of 2-2 as Sevilla and Inter Milan look to win their latest European silverware. Goals then came courtesy of Romelu Lukaku and Diego Godin for the Italians, while Luuk de Jong netted a double for the La Liga conquistadors. The drama could still well have another twist - so here's how to watch the 2020 Europa League Final online and get a Sevilla vs Inter Milan live stream online right now.
The 2020 Europa League Final takes place at the RheinEnergieStadion in Cologne, Germany, with kick-off set for 9pm local time (CEST) - the same as it is for fans in Spain and Italy. That makes for an 8pm BST start in the UK, while US viewers can tune in from 3pm ET / 12pm PT. If you're abroad right now, you can save up to 50% on ExpressVPN - getting 3-months FREE and watch Sevilla vs Inter Milan just as you would if you were at home.
The opening minutes of the match saw two goals scored in quick-order, with star Inter striker Romelu Lukaku winning and then converting a penalty before you'd even had time to open a beer - only for Sevilla to immediately fightback with an emphatic Luuk de Jong header in the 15th minute. The Dutchman made it a salvo in the 33rd with an even better effort, but the Nerazzurri were just as quick to respond courtesy of Diego Godin. There was also a yellow card for Inter manager Antonio Conte to add to the drama in the first-half and...are you as exhausted as we are?
Both teams are among the most successful clubs in European football history and are looking to add more silverware to their already overflowing collection this Friday. La Liga side Sevilla are eyeing a sixth triumph in the competition, while Serie A titans Inter Milan are chasing a fourth win in the same affair. It would be Inter's first outright victory in a UEFA tournament since Jose Mourinho led them to Champions League glory in 2010 - while for Sevilla, it would confirm their status as Europa League untouchables with another victory.
Inter entered as favourites, yet it's hard to ignore Sevilla's untouchable record in the Europa League. The Andalusian side have now reached the final on six occasions and won the the competition five times since its inception as the UEFA Cup. In fact, they're the only team to lift back-to-back trophies in this particular tournament that aren't named Real Madrid. Julen Lopetegui's side have also had the tougher route to tonight's final in Germany, with tricky ties against Roma and Wolves preceding their dramatic 2-1 win over Manchester United earlier in the week.
Despite being one of football's most storied teams, it's been a much longer wait for Inter to get this close to lifting some more Euro silverware, with Friday's match their first appearance in a final in 10 years. Serie A's second placed side this season, the Black and Blues enjoyed a smoother ride to the Müngersdorfer, easing past Getafe and Bayer Leverkusen before beating Shakhtar earlier in the week.
The match marks the first ever meeting between the two sides in European competition and was confirmed after Antonio Conte's Inter side waltzed past Shakhtar Donetsk in the semi-finals.
Injuries could play a role in determining the outcome, and Sevilla will be sweating over the fitness over their Argentine forward Lucas Ocampos, who limped off the field during their semi-final against United. Matias Vecino is definitely out with a knee injury for Inter, however Alexis Sanchez - recently signed on a permanent deal from Man U - could be in contention to start.
