The Boxing Day sales are technically over, but many retailers have deals running through to December 31. And while I'm sad Christmas is finished, I think this is the most wonderful day of the year. I have already seen some incredible deals in the weeks leading to Christmas – as early Boxing Day sales dropped across New Zealand – with hundreds able to be saved on kitchen appliances, the best stick vacuums, home security and more. Still, the best deals from New Zealand retailers like still Noel Leeming, PB Tech and Amazon AU came on Boxing Day proper.

With so many sales periods in 2024 – Black Friday and Cyber Monday, EOFY and mid-year sales, plus retailer-specific sales like Amazon Prime Day(s) – you might think Boxing Day sales have lost their lustre. But, Boxing Day is circled on my calendar for a reason, and if comes close to matching the prices we saw during Black Friday, you can expect all-time lows on premium tech.

I'll be using my online shopping expertise and experience with the sales above in 2024 to bring you only the best Boxing Day deals in New Zealand. With big discounts coming to the best TVs, laptops, tablets, phones, coffee machines and more, the hard part is picking the right deal for you – not finding them –and that's where I come in. And don't worry, with prices changing regularly, I'll be keeping this page updated with live deals, ensuring you're getting only the latest info and best prices this Boxing Day.

I love getting my hands on the latest phones and tablets, and watching the latest on streaming. There's one thing I like more, though – online shopping. Deal hunting is my forte, and I use my experience to bring you only the best bargains.

Tips for last-minute shoppers

It’s Christmas Eve, and while the festive spirit is in full swing, the reality of forgotten shopping has hit. If you’re looking to capitalise on Boxing Day sales in New Zealand but can no longer count on Amazon’s delivery services to make it in time, don’t worry – there are still excellent ways to score last-minute deals before Christmas day.

Consider Same-Day Delivery Options

Some stores, like JB Hi-Fi, offer on-demand delivery through services such as Uber This can be a lifesaver if you find a deal you love and want it delivered straight to your door without waiting. JB Hi-Fi offers two types of Uber deliveries in metro areas:

ASAP Delivery: Your order will be delivered within 90 minutes to 2 hours of placing it.

Scheduled Delivery: If available, you can select a 2-hour delivery window during the store’s operating hours.

Eligibility: Orders must be placed within 20km of a store offering Uber delivery. Available 7 days a week from store opening until 2 hours before closing time.Opt for In-Store Pickup

The smartest move, if you spot a deal on our curated Boxing Day sales page, is to order online for in-store pickup. Why? This ensures the item is in stock before you brave the retail madness. Plus, your order will be ready and waiting for you to collect, saving you time and stress. Most major retailers offer this option, making it an ideal way to shop. Noel Leeming even guarantees that click-and-collect orders will be ready for collection in one hour – place your order, get dressed, drive to the store and voila, it's ready to grab and go.

What to Do About Amazon Bargains

If the deal you’ve spotted is on Amazon but delivery isn’t feasible, don’t give up. Check physical stores like Noel Leeming for the same product. These retailers often match or closely align with Amazon’s pricing, especially during major sales events like Boxing Day. You might just find the same item for a comparable price and with the added bonus of immediate availability.

What makes it even better? It’s priced at NZD$1,995 – cheaper than the Australian pricing of AU$1,997. For such a high-spec device, that’s exceptional value, and 29% off list price.

However, stock is extremely limited, with only two units left. If you’re keen on upgrading your tech, don’t delay – this deal may not last long!

The cheapest price we've seen on this laptop in 2024, this is a fantastic deal. The slim laptop features the new Series 2 Intel Core Ultra 7 258V CPU, a big 15.3-inch 2800 x 1800 touchscreen display and premium features like a facial recognition webcam and Wi-Fi 7. Amazon (as usual) has a few of the specs wrong, so note it has an (excellent) IPS display, rather than OLED.
