Moto G22 launched in India with 90Hz refresh rate, MediaTek Helio G37 processor

Motorola released a new budget smartphone, Moto G22, in the Indian market today. This is the second G series smartphone by the company in 2022 after the launch of Moto G71 in January 2022. The smartphone comes with a MediaTek Helio series chipset and has a flat display and edges. 

In terms of design, we can say that Motorola has tried to give the device a different look this time. The device gets a texture rear panel with the Motorola logo at the center and the camera module placed at the top left corner. 

The smartphone is basically for entry-level users and if you are expecting something high-end then you are really going to get disappointed. Nonetheless, the device has a 50MP primary shooter that has the capability to deliver top-notch photographs in various lighting conditions. 

Moto G22 pricing and availability

The 4GB RAM variant of the Moto G22 along with 64GB internal storage is available in the Indian market for Rs 10,999. The smartphone can be purchased from Flipkart. It is being shipped in three colour options - Mint Green, Iceberg Blue and Cosmic Black. The first sale of the device is scheduled to be held on April 13 starting at 12:00 PM IST.

Moto G22 specifications

Moto G22 comes equipped with a 6.5-inch HD+ LCD display coupled with a 90Hz refresh rate. The smartphone houses a MediaTek Helio G37 processor with 4GB LPDDR4X RAM and 64GB internal storage. 

For security purposes, the device has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and Face Unlock feature. The smartphone operates on the Android 12 operating system that provides a near-to-stock-Android experience with Ad-free interface. 

In terms of optics, Moto G22 flaunts a quad rear camera setup comprising a 50MP primary shooter, 8MP ultra-wide single snapper, depth snapper, and a macro snapper. At the front, the smartphone rocks a 16MP snapper for video calls and selfies. The Moto G22 is powered by a 5000mAh battery with 20W turbocharging support.
