OnePlus, just a week ago, launched its flagship smartphone, the OnePlus 10 Pro, in the Indian market. The smartphone carries a unique design along with a sleek body and claims to deliver a power-packed performance.

For starters, the smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 flagship processor. OnePlus has taken a step ahead in terms of camera prowess by offering a 50MP ultra wide-angle snapper along with a 48MP primary snapper.

Considering the point that the Chinese variant of the device ships with ColorOS, as a result of the Oppo OnePlus merger, we are safe as the Indian variant ships with the Oxygen OS 12. However, the Super Dart charging will be missed as it has been replaced by the SuperVOOC charging technology.

Not to forget that the smartphone also has a 6.7-inch fluid AMOLED display with QHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The display of the smartphone no doubt offers a premium feel and it has 1300 nits of peak brightness. Moreover, the adaptive refresh rate of the device reduces the battery drainage issue that was witnessed in its predecessor OnePlus 9 Pro.

On the other hand, we can say that the recently launched iQoo 9 Pro gives tough competition to the OnePlus flagship. The smartphone features a 6.78-inch AMOLED display coupled with a 120Hz refresh rate for a super smooth toggling and switching experience.

A major highlight regarding the device is that iQoo has offered 120W super-fast charging support. We have already seen the charging tech in the Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge. Apart from that, it also supports 50W wireless charging.

Here we have compared both the flagship offerings to find out if OnePlus will be able to maintain its legacy by outclassing iQoo or will the tables turn this time. We will compare both smartphones on the basis of pricing, performance, etc.

OnePlus smartphones have always outclassed the competition in terms of design. OnePlus 10 Pro seems to carry forward the legacy. The smartphone has an elegant rear panel with a large camera module holding three sensors, a LED ring light flash, and Hasselblad branding.

The speaker grille, SIM Tray, and the USB Type-C port are placed at the bottom edge of the device. The volume rockers are placed on the left spine and the power button is placed on the right spine along with the alert slider. The smartphone has a punch hole cut out for the front sensor at the top left corner.

iQoo 9 Pro comes with a metal frame and a rectangular camera module at the back. The smartphone's Legend colour variant has a white body and three-colour BMW Motorsport racing stripes. The SIM Tray, USB Type-C port, and speakers are placed at the bottom.

The power button of the device is blue in colour and is situated on the right spine of the smartphone. The volume rockers are placed at the left spine. On the front, the smartphone has thin bezels and a punch hole cut out at the top middle for the placement of the front camera.

OnePlus 10 Pro comes equipped with a 6.7-inches AMOLED display coupled with a 120HZ refresh rate and protected by Gorilla Glass Victus. The LTPO 2.0 technology used in the smartphone lets it automatically adjust the refresh rate between 1Hz to 120Hz as per the requirement.

The smartphone houses the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor which is paired with 12GB RAM in the high-end variant and 256GB internal storage. The smartphone flaunts a triple rear camera setup including a 48MP Sony IMX1789 shooter, a 50MP Samsung JN1 ultra wide-angle shooter, and an 8MP telephoto shooter.

At the front, we get to see a 32MP front snapper for capturing selfies and attending video calls. For security purposes, the smartphone also has an in-display fingerprint sensor. The smartphone draws power from a 5000mAh battery and it supports both 80W wired charging as well as 50W wireless charging.

When it comes to the iQoo 9 Pro, the smartphone features a 6.78-inch 2K E5 AMOLED display complemented with a 120Hz refresh rate. The smartphone offers a 3200 x 1400 pixels resolution with 1500 nits of peak brightness.

The smartphone also has an adaptive refresh rate similar to the OnePlus 10 Pro. It is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor along with 12GB RAM and 256GB onboard storage in the high-end variant.

The smartphone rocks a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 50MP ultra wide-angle shooter with 150-degree field of view, a 50MP wide-angle shooter, and a 16MP telephoto shooter. For the sake of selfies and video calls, the smartphone gets a 16MP sensor at the front.

iQoo 9 Pro operates on the Origin OS based on the Android 12 operating system. It also has an in-display fingerprint sensor for security purposes. The smartphone packs a 4700mAh battery that supports 120W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.

Conclusion

The factors found in this comparison clearly indicate that the iQoo 9 Pro outclasses the OnePlus flagship in a lot of aspects. When it comes to photography, the iQoo 9 Pro has an upper hand. However, the OnePlus 10 Pro one-ups the iQoo offering in terms of front camera prowess.

But there is not much difference to be found in the display section as both smartphones are fairly similar. While the OnePlus 10 Pro offers a slightly powerful battery, the iQoo 9 Pro takes a lead with its 120W charging tech.

That being said, the Oxygen OS on the OnePlus devices has generally offered a  smoother experience and is considered to be more user-friendly as compared to the Origin OS of the iQoo 9 Pro.

One thing to mention here is that iQoo's offering is cost-efficient as compared to what OnePlus has to showcase. If it continues like this then iQoo will soon come for the crown that OnePlus has had for a long time.

While both the devices are far from perfect but if you're to pick one out of the two, the iQoo 9 Pro edges past the OnePlus 10 Pro, in our opinion.
