Poco today launched the Poco M4 5G in India at a starting price of Rs 12,999. The budget smartphone is perhaps the most affordable 5G device that the company offers and is currently the only one available at this price point in the market. The M-series smartphones were recently refreshed with the Poco M4 Pro and the M4 Pro 5G.
The Poco M4 5G sports a 90Hz display with support for adaptive refresh rates and runs on the Dimensity 700 chipset. It also features a 50MP primary camera and an 8MP selfie shooter housed in the waterdrop notch at the front.
When it comes to the design of the Poco M4 5G, it retains the signature black rectangular box around the top of the device consisting of the Poco branding and the cameras. But this time it curves into the sides of the device giving it a uniform look.
Poco M4 5G pricing and availability
The Poco M4 5G has been launched in 2 variants. It features 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage on the base variant and 6GB RAM and 128GB on the higher one. The smartphone does support virtual RAM expansion by up to 2GB and internal storage expansion via a microSD card.
It comes in 3 colour options - Poco Yellow, Cool Blue and Power Black. The Poco M4 5G will retail on Flipkart from 12 noon on May 5.

The company is offering additional discounts of Rs 2,000 on the Poco M4 5G to SBI debit and credit cardholders for eligible full and EMI payment options on Flipkart.
Poco M4 5G specifications
The Poco M4 5G runs on the 7nm MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC clubbed with XGB of RAM and sports a 6.58-inch 90Hz FullHD+ display with an adaptive refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate. It also comes with IP52 protection from minor water splashes and dust resistance.
In terms of the cameras, the Poco M4 5G features a 50MP primary camera lens, a secondary 2MP macro camera and a front-facing 8MP selfie camera.
The smartphone features a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, Bluetooth 5.0, dual-band Wi-Fi, dual 5G sim and support for 7 5G bands. The device runs on MIUI 13 based on Android 12.
All of the hardware within the Poco M4 5G is powered by a 5,000 mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging out of the box.
