Fossil has introduced the Skagen Falster 6 smartwatch in India. The new Wear OS-powered smartwatch was recently unveiled at CES 2022 and has now swiftly made its way into the country.
In terms of features and specifications, the Skagen Falster 6 watch is very similar to the Fossil Gen 6 watch. It boasts almost similar hardware specifications which include the latest Snapdragon Wear 4100 Plus SoC and 8 GB of onboard storage.
The Falster 6 watch runs on Google’s Wear OS 2 out of the box. However, in case you’re wondering, these watches are in line to receive the updated Wear OS 3 later this year.
Skagen Falster Gen 6 price and availability in India
The retail price of Falster 6 in India has been set at Rs. 21,995. The watch comes in five different styles - a 42mm case size, including silver-tone, charcoal, and black case colours. The company has set the price universal for all the styles.
The watch will start retailing from Skagen’s official website later this month.
Skagen Falster Gen 6 features and specifications
The Falster 6 smartwatch comes with a 1.28-inch touch-friendly display with 326ppi. The watch is available in a choice of Stainless Steel or a Nylon case and is water-resistant up to 3ATM.
Powering the watch is a Snapdragon 4100 Plus SoC coupled with 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of onboard storage. The storage is specifically helpful in playing offline music via YoutTube Music or Spotify Premium using its inbuilt speaker.
Among the sensors present on the watch are an accelerometer, gyroscope, compass, altimeter, PPG heart rate, SpO2, Off-body IR and an Ambient Light Sensor.
While the battery is the biggest issue with most Wear OS watches, the company says that the battery backup offered by the watch is its highlight and it will easily last over a day. The Falster 6 even comes with fast charging and 30 minutes of charging can juice up the battery to 80 per cent.
The watch comes with a rotating home button and a configurable push button. The Falster 6 is eligible to receive Wear OS 6 later this year.
