It's November, and that means Black Friday deals are going to start rolling in thick and fast, so if you're looking for a great Black Friday MacBook deal, then now's the perfect time to start shopping.

We've already seen some tempting price cuts, such as Best Buy, which is selling the MacBook Air 13-inch with M2 chip for $749 - a discount of $150. While that's a pretty decent cut, it should be noted that for a while the price dropped even further to $649. That ultra-low price didn't last long, but it could be a hint of the kind of discounts that are coming throughout the month leading up to Black Friday itself, which is on November 29 this year.

With prices dropping and rising, you won't want to miss out on any great MacBook deals, and this is where we come in. I'll be updating this page throughout November and Black Friday, into Cyber Monday, with all the best MacBook deals in the US and UK. I've been reviewing MacBooks for over a decade, so I know what models are worth going for - and I've just reviewed the new MacBook Pro 16-inch (M4 Pro, 2024).

While that MacBook (and the other new M4-powered devices Apple has just launched) are unlikely to get any major discounts on Black Friday due to how recent they are, it does mean that older models could see some really good deals crop up as retailers look to clear their stock to make room for the newer models.

Who knows, we might even get a few quick price cuts for the brand-new MacBooks as well - and by keeping this page bookmarked, you'll be the first to know when major MacBook deals go live.

Best Buy has got the excellent MacBook Air M2 model for a decent $150 off, even though it was even cheaper a few days ago. The latest MacBook Air M3 at Amazon has a slight discount of just over $100. Any discount is welcome, of course, but we could see this price drop lower as Black Friday approaches. If you can't wait, though, this is a good price, and our five-star MacBook Air 13-inch M3 review praised its excellent performance, lengthy 18 hours of battery life and slick fan-less design. We think it's the best laptop you can buy right now for creatives and anyone after a high-end device so if you've got a decent budget you'll love this portable and powerful machine.

Apple MacBook Air (M1, 2020): was $999 now $649 at Walmart

Walmart is offering the MacBook Air M1 for a new record-low price of $649, which is a steal for the device that sat atop our best laptop guide for many months. It may be a little dated now but this is still a powerful Apple device that holds up well in 2024. It can handle most users' computing needs: work, browsing, video calls, and even creative tasks such as video and photo editing.

Apple MacBook Pro 14-inch (M3, 2023)
Apple MacBook Pro 14-inch (M3, 2023): was $1,599 now $1,099.99 at Amazon US

Amazon has the latest MacBook Pro 14-inch back down to a record-low price right now. Boasting a powerful M3 chip, stunning liquid retina display and an impressive 22 hours of battery life, this is a complete creative workstation. We awarded this model 4.5 stars out of five in our MacBook Pro 14-inch (M3) review, praising the overall performance, elegant design and long-lasting battery. Make sure you tick the coupon box to take $250 off the listed price to get it down to a very tempting $1,099.99.

Apple MacBook Air 15-inch (M3, 2024)
Apple MacBook Air 15-inch (M3, 2024): was $1,299 now $1,099 at Amazon US

Display - 15 inches
Processor - Apple M3
RAM - 8GB
Storage - 256GB
OS - macOS

It may essentially be just a larger version of the MacBook Air 13-inch, but if that's what you want then that's what you get – and it's now reduced to its lowest-ever price at Amazon. Our MacBook Air 15-inch review praised the display, performance, design and speaker array, although we did think the jump in size hurt one of the MacBook Air's key selling points – its portability. Nevertheless, this is still an impressive laptop that was awarded a full five stars – and it's now available for a record-low price.

Today's best MacBook deals in the UK

Apple MacBook Air 13-inch (M3, 2024)
Apple MacBook Air 13-inch (M3, 2024): was £999 now £919 at Amazon UK

Display - 13.6 inches
Processor - Apple M3
RAM - 8GB
Storage - 256GB
OS - macOS

Apple's latest version of the MacBook Air is our pick for the best laptop you can buy right now, and while this 8% price cut isn't the biggest saving in the world, it makes Apple's best value MacBook even better value. Windows 11 laptops at this price point just can't compare, and this is an ideal Black Friday MacBook deal for people looking for a thin, light and dependable laptop to use for school and work.

Apple MacBook Pro 16-inch (M3 Pro, 2024)
Apple MacBook Pro 16-inch (M3 Pro, 2024): was £2,799 now £2,549 at Amazon UK

Display - 16.2 inches
Processor - Apple M3 Pro
RAM - 36GB
Storage - 512GB
OS - macOS

If you want an incredibly powerful MacBook for creative work, then this deal from Amazon is well worth checking out. You'll save £250 on this workstation laptop with a huge 36GB of memory, which along with the M3 Pro chip, which includes a 12-core CPU and 18-core GPU, makes this an incredible performer, even if it's no longer the most recent model.

Today's best MacBook deals in Australia

Apple MacBook Pro 14-inch (M3 Max, 2023)
Apple MacBook Pro 14-inch (M3 Max, 2023): was AU$4,999 now AU$4,394 at Amazon AU

Display - 14-inch
Processor - Apple M3 Max
RAM - 36GB
Storage - 1TB
OS - macOS

Apple Australia has no longer sells the M3 MacBook Pro, and instead is taking orders for the new M4 model. This means the older M3 models are seeing a discount, such as this deal that takes 12% off the still fantastic M3 Max powered machine. Amazon AU has the old list price, so erroneously suggests a 22% discount.

Apple MacBook Pro 16-inch (M3 Max, 2023)
Apple MacBook Pro 16-inch (M3 Max, 2023): was AU$6,499 now AU$5,744 at JB Hi-Fi

Display - 16-inch
Processor - Apple M3 Max
RAM - 36GB
Storage - 1TB
OS - macOS

While it's not quite the most powerful MacBook on the market – the new M4 chips take that mantle now – the M3 Max is more than enough for most users, and is currently 11% cheaper than pre-ordering the same spec in the newer model. That might not seem like much, but it's a decent discount if you don't need to be absolute cutting edge.

Black Friday MacBook deals: FAQs

When will the Black Friday MacBook deals start in 2024?

Black Friday 2024 itself is on November 29, with Cyber Monday following on December 2, and you can expect a lot of MacBook deals to go live on those days (and during the weekend between the two dates).

However, as with previous years, retailers are likely to start cutting prices early, so you may find some awesome MacBook deals around early November onwards. Now that the second Amazon Prime Day is over, you should start seeing Black Friday MacBook deals popping up regularly.

Is Black Friday the best time to buy a MacBook?

Black Friday is an excellent time to buy a MacBook. Apple devices are usually premium products with premium prices to match, so any chance to snag one with a big price cut is always welcome. And, because MacBooks have great reputations as some of the best laptops you can buy, retailers like Amazon and Walmart often offer eye-catching price cuts over Black Friday to win over customers.

One retailer, however, that doesn't usually join in with the Black Friday deals frenzy is Apple itself. The company's online (and bricks and mortar) stores don't offer price cuts, but usually bundle in gift cards which can make the asking price a bit more palatable. Apple also offers trade in deals, so if you have an older MacBook (or other Apple product) that's in decent condition, you may be able to trade it in to take off a decent amount from the sale price.

What Black Friday MacBook deals should I expect?

It's hard to know for certain what Black Friday MacBook deals there will be in 2024, but we can take a good guess based on current trends and previous Black Fridays. Now that M4 MacBook Pros have launched, I expect to see a glut of M3 and M2 MacBook Pros getting deep discounts, as retailers may be keen to clear their stocks of older models - and that's great news for consumers as these remain excellent laptops, even if they are a few years old by this point.

Hopefully the more affordable MacBook Air will get price cuts for both the 13-inch and 15-inch models. The latest models come with M3 chips and launched back in March of this year. While we've not heard any rumors of an M4-powered MacBook Air, the M3 models are due a price cut right around now anyway and the M2 models could fall even further in price. Meanwhile, 2020's M1 MacBook Air has in past Black Fridays seen some huge price cuts, making it an ideal laptop for students. While some great deals on this MacBook could appear during Black Friday 2024, I fear we are coming to the end of retailers' stock (Apple stopped making it a few years ago), so there might be fewer offers this year. Also, at this point, unless you find it for a ridiculously low price, you'd be better off paying a bit more for the M2 or M3 models.
