The OnePlus 9 family

The OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro are alrady some of our top recommendations for folk looking for a new Android. They are tough to beat, starting from £629 and £829 respectively.

Why? The OnePlus 9 Series phones have superb 120Hz screens, slick curved glass backs and Qualcomm’s latest ultra-powerful Snapdragon 888 processor. We’ve tried both, and games run like a dream on either.

We are big fans of OnePlus’s Warp Charge 65T tech. It gives you enough charge to last a day in as little as fifteen minutes, instantly zapping battery life headaches.

The OnePlus 9 Series also marks the company’s first collaboration with camera legend Hasselblad. It worked with the photography pioneer to refine the photos these phones create, particularly in terms of colour.

What upgrades do you get with the OnePlus 9 Pro? It has an even better primary camera. It has an excellent 3.3x optical zoom that gives you more options whenever you take your phone out to snap a photo, and a larger, brighter, sharper screen.

The OnePlus 9 phones are great value even before you add the Google Stadia bundle.

Stadia Premiere Edition

OnePlus Stadia

Stadia is the gaming service from Google that allows you to instantly play your favorite high-end games on the screens you already own - including OnePlus phones. This package includes the Stadia Controller which can connect wirelessly or via USB and Chromecast Ultra to enable you to play your games on your TV.

It’s free to get started on Stadia, and new users get a month to try the Stadia Pro service, which includes a library of free games to claim and play. New titles are added every month, and once your trial ends, it’s £8.99 a month (you can cancel any time). You can also buy blockbuster new releases outright on Stadia if you like, including hit titles such as Resident Evil: Village, Hitman 3, Cyberpunk 2077 and Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.

And, you guessed it, you can play Stadia right on your OnePlus 9 or OnePlus 9 Pro. Just download the Stadia app, pair your controller and start playing over Wi-Fi or your mobile internet connection (USB required for cellular gameplay).

Google Stadia and a OnePlus 9 are a photo-taking, game-playing, TikTok-streaming dream team.

Google recommends a minimum internet connection speed of 10Mbps to use Stadia, but that should be no issue if you have solid home broadband. You can also claim a free Google Stadia Premiere Edition bundle if you buy a OnePlus 8T or OnePlus Nord during the promotional period.
