Xiaomi introduced the 12 series smartphones in the global market pretty recently. Now, the brand has officially confirmed via a tweet that the Xiaomi 12 Pro will reach the Indian shores in the upcoming days.

As of now, the launch date has not been revealed but we can expect the device to roll out somewhere around the second half of April. Talking about Xiaomi 12 Pro, the smartphone is the high-end variant of the series at this point in time.

Soon, the smartphone will be replaced by Xiaomi 12 Ultra as the high-end variant of the series. Leaks and rumours regarding Xiaomi 12 Ultra have suggested that the device will make its China debut somewhere around May 2022.

What can we see?

The smartphone has already been launched globally and in China, so we already know what we are going to see in terms of specifications and features. Considering the global variant, Xiaomi 12 Pro sports a 6.67-inch 2K AMOLED display coupled with a 120Hz refresh rate.

The smartphone has 1500 nits of peak brightness and a punch hole cut out at the top middle for the placement of the front camera. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor for a fast-paced performance. It seems like Xiaomi 12 Pro will compete with the likes of iQoo 9 Pro, Moto Edge 30 Pro, and the recently launched OnePlus 10 Pro

Xiaomi 12 Pro rocks a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 50MP Sony IMX707 primary shooter with OIS, a 50MP ultra wide-angle shooter, and a 50MP telephoto shooter. At the front, the smartphone flaunts a 32MP snapper for the sake of selfies and video calls.

Similar to what we have seen in the case of the Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge, the Xiaomi 12 Pro also supports 120W fast charging. It draws power from a 4600mAh battery that supports 50W wireless charging, 10W reverse wireless charging, etc. Other features in the smartphone include an in-display fingerprint sensor, USB Type-C port, IR Blaster, etc.
