Xiaomi is expected to launch its flagship phone in India soon. The company hasn’t yet announced the exact launch date, it has hinted that the launch date might be revealed on April 12.

And while we wait for the company to share details, a fairly accurate tipster named Yogesh Brar, has revealed the tentative pricing of the phone. He states that the Xiaomi 12 Pro might cost as high as Rs. 65,000 in India.

Though he also hasn’t shared the launch date but says that the phone is “coming soon.” Also, we’re not sure if the company will introduce multiple variants of the device and if this is the tentative price of the base variant.

To recall, the price of Xiaomi 12 Pro in China starts at CNY 4699 or roughly Rs. 56,150 for the base variant with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage and goes all the way up to CNY 5399 or Rs. 64,250 approximately for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage option. The price in the international markets starts at $999 for the 8GB and 256GB variants.

Compared to the international pricing, the Xiaomi 12 Pro could be priced aggressively in India. However, if you look at the competition devices like Moto Edge 30 Pro and Realme GT 2 Pro – both are available for under Rs. 50,000 while the iQoo 9 Pro and the Galaxy S22 lineup are even more costly.

More devices incoming

As of now, there is no clarity around the launch of Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12x. We’ve heard rumblings that a Lite version might accompany the Pro version, however, we aren’t sure.

Brar, though, hints that Xiaomi is currently working on multiple other devices which could succeed the Mi 11x and Mi 11x Pro and might launch in India soon. He stated that the phone maker might prefer MediaTek’s Dimensity 8100 for the Xiaomi 12x and Dimensity 9000 for the latter.

Both these phones are expected to be affordable compared to the Xiaomi 12 Pro. The fact that even Samsung is looking to use these chipsets in its upcoming flagship phones
