Sony is considering developing a 3D-slider tool for the PlayStation 3, very much like the 3D-slider option recently announced by Nintendo for its forthcomign 3DS glasses-free handheld console.

A select few PlayStation Plus subscribers in the US will be able to try out the console's much heralded Hulu Plus TV streaming service today, according to Sony.

Sony believes that people looking at what console to buy should take into consideration that the PlayStation 3 is 'future-proofed in terms of 3D.'

Sony is set to launch a 'Classic White' PS3 in Japan and bump up the storage capacity on its games console to a maximum 320GB later this month.
