Nikon Coolpix S2500 Review: Verdict
The S2500 does exactly what we were promised - it shoots and for the most part it scores. There are no frills here: no second screen, no built in projector, no Full HD movie mode, no extensive feature clad DNA, no fancy CMOS sensor and no super-zoom focal range.
Ideally the Nikon S2500 is well suited to the fair-weather or nervous newcomer photographer, as well as new shooters from the youth and mature demographics.
We like
The price! But also its svelte design and performance in a number of difficult lighting conditions.
We dislike
We expected few frills, but including a guide function would have been very useful.
Verdict
The Nikon Coolpix S2500 enters as an easy to use and incredibly affordable compact – perfect for those with little to moderate experience with digital cameras, but who seek a better than average level of image quality.
