The price of the Fitbit Versa Lite is its main selling point, especially as the standard Fitbit Versa is so good.

At the time of writing, it’s difficult to recommend buying the Lite when the original Versa is priced very close. There is no doubt that the Versa Lite is a value for money option, but in India, it gets beated by it's own sibling in terms of price value proposition. If you can spare Rs 2,000-3000, you can get a Versa very easily.

Who’s it for?

If you are into fitness and looking to buy your first smartwatch then the Fitbit Versa Lite is a reliable option. For its price, it strikes a decent balance between fitness and smartwatch. There are a few missing features like uploading music, GPS and similar that would have made it the perfect budget smartwatch.

If you have ever used a full fledged smartwatch OS like Wear OS or WatchOS, then you will find this a little underwhelming when it comes to features, but four-day battery life compensates for it.

That said, the Versa Lite edition looks attractive, feels very comfortable and tracks most of the fitness metrics. If that's what you're what you need, it's a good choice.

Should you buy it?

If you can spend Rs 2500 over your budget, then you must go for Fitbit Versa as it gives you much more and it's undeniably a better choice over the Lite edition. If you have a cap on your budget, then I'll wholeheartedly recommend Versa Lite.

Just know that it's more fitness-focused so you won't get those fancy features you see on Samsung’s smartwatch range or an Apple Watch.
