HTC Evo Design 4G

HTC's EVO Design 4G receives fair marks as a media device; the included Connected Media app is capable of beaming music, photos or videos to another DLNA device on your Wi-Fi network, although it's not quite as seamless as Apple's AirPlay solution.

HTC Evo Design 4G

Included apps for Music and HTC Watch provide built-in access for playing songs you've copied onto the device or renting/buying movies and TV shows, and the Play Store offers plenty of other free solutions including Netflix and Google's Play Music (formerly Google Music). Sadly, our favorite Hulu Plus is incompatible with the EVO Design 4G at this writing.

HTC Evo Design 4G

The built-in Gallery app makes it easy to view and share photos or video you shoot with the EVO Design 4G, with optional SRS audio enhancement for videos as well as the ability to switch from "Best Fit" to "Full Screen" for those pesky letterboxed movies.

HTC Evo Design 4G

Videos can be trimmed inside the app, while photos can be set as wallpaper, played in a slideshow or printed to a wireless printer; the EVO Design 4G had no problem discovered our Epson Artisan 837 over Wi-Fi as well as our Ethernet-connected HP Color LaserJet 2605dn, although the latter did complain about being incompatible.
