Battery

The company has managed to provide a 4,230mAh Li-ion cell to the Realme 3, which is decent enough. In our regular usage which consisted of a couple of rounds of PUBG Mobile, internet browsing, checking social media feeds and watching videos on YouTube, the battery managed to last for over 12 hours. Testing the battery of the Realme 3, there was an average drop of 4.5% in the battery while browsing and watching videos over the course of an hour.

It took approximately two hours for the Realme 3 to get charged from 0% to 100%.

Verdict

Realme 3 is the new kid on the block and knows it has got a lot to prove. Although the asking price makes it a better value for money proposition, there are certain areas like the performance of ColorOS 6.0 and cameras which could have been better. It’s got its fair share of hits and misses but at the end of the day, its competitive pricing makes it a better alternative to the other phones in this segment, including, but not restricted to Redmi Note 6 Pro, Redmi Note 7, Samsung Galaxy M10 and Galaxy M20
