Despite its age, the iPhone 13 Pro remains a supremely capable (and expensive) handset, so you'll want to pick up one of the best iPhone 13 Pro cases to keep it safe and sound.

Fortunately, the best iPhone 13 Pro cases don't demand the biggest bucks. Sure, you can find luxury options with unique artwork and designs, but you can also find simple-yet-durable options from Apple and your favorite case makers.

All the cases we've picked in the below guide are MagSafe compatible, meaning they'll work with Apple's range of magnetic charging accessories. And, while we haven't had all of these iPhone 13 Pro cases in for testing, we have had extensive dealings with each of the below manufacturers, so we consider these brands to be trustworthy above the rest.

If you're keen to check out the best cases for newer iPhone models, we've rounded up the best iPhone 14 cases, best iPhone 14 Pro cases and best iPhone 15 cases elsewhere on TechRadar.

How to choose the best iPhone 13 Pro case for you

Why you can trust TechRadar We spend hours testing every product or service we review, so you can be sure you’re buying the best. Find out more about how we test.

When considering which case to buy, consider these three attributes. First comes durability. All cases can handle a fall, but if you want more than basic protection, you'll need cases that can survive a serious drop.

The second consideration is style. You'll want to keep your phone protected at all times, so you need a case that you'll enjoy carrying and looking at every day. It helps if the case also works with all of your accessories.

The third is reliability. We choose manufacturers we trust, whose cases we've purchased ourselves repeatedly. We believe these cases will provide the protection they claim, and we know you'll enjoy using them with your iPhone 13 Pro.

Apple iPhone 13 Pro Silicone Case with MagSafe

MagSafe’s back, alright!

Reasons to buy

+
Feels great to hold
+
Perfect fit for iPhone 13 Pro

Reasons to avoid

-
Gets expensive when adding additional MagSafe options
-
Can look dirty over time

Apple has been including MagSafe features on its smartphones since the iPhone 12 range, and the iPhone 13 works well with compatible chargers, wallets, and other accessories. This iPhone 13 Pro silicone case from Apple offers the signature magnets that make it simple to line up for wireless charging. We love the way the silicone feels, and Apple has an excellent selection of colors available to match the various iPhone 13 Pro shades.

You can also add additional items to your MagSafe case, including a MagSafe Wallet that supports UWB tech with Apple's Find My app. This is the same tech used in Apple’s AirTags. These accessories and wireless charging work through the silicone case with no trouble.

Nomad Modern Leather iPhone 13 Pro case

Nomad Modern Leather Case

Rugged leather and a nifty little trick

Reasons to buy

+
Share a digital business card with a tap
+
 Great-looking leather colors

Reasons to avoid

-
 Fairly nondescript design

Nomad’s effort may look pretty similar to Apple’s own leather option, and in truth, if you slapped an Apple logo on it it would be tough to tell the difference, but it does have 10-foot drop protection and some really great color options along with MagSafe functionality.

One of our favorite features, though, is the inclusion of the “Digital Business Card”, which can be shared via a tap on the device. It’s a great option if you’re expecting to do a lot of networking, and is sure to appeal to an audience with that in mind.

Apple iPhone 13 Pro in Casetify Bounce case

Casetify Bounce Case for iPhone 13 Pro

The most protection for drops and bounces

Reasons to buy

+
21.3 foot drop protection
+
Six times as study as MIL-STD-810G

Reasons to avoid

-
Very expensive protection
-
Large and bulky bumpers

Casetify is known for its stylish and unique cases, but the Casetify Bounce case is on a whole other level. While most cases give you up to ten feet or so of bounce protection, the Casetify Bounce could potentially protect your phone if you drop it from the roof of a small building, with 21.3 feet of bounce with those huge bumpers.

It may be bulky and conspicuous, but if you need that much protection you certainly won't mind. Casetify has plenty of customization options to write on the case, so you can at least make it your own bulky and conspicuous case. It's got the raised camera bumper we require, and it can handle MagSafe charging and accessories as well.

Apple iPhone 13 Pro in Mous Limitless aramid fiber

Mous Limitless 4.0 Aramid Fiber

The best for ballistic protection

Reasons to buy

+
Cool materials like Aramid fiber
+
Solid drop protection

Reasons to avoid

-
More expensive
-
Limited color options

Mous makes a very stylish and lightweight case with a few different material finish options, and for the iPhone 13 Pro we think the aramid fiber is a cool one to choose. Aramid fibers include the same fabric family as Kevlar brand, so it should be resistant to the point of ballistic protection from drops and damage. All of the cases from Mous are drop-resistant, so even if you go for a wood finish you should still be covered.

We like the ridges for an easier grip on the side, and this case should have a nice, not too slippery texture. There is a camera bumper to protect our precious lenses, of course. The case is also MagSafe qualified and should work just fine with wireless charging.

Apple iPhone 13 Pro in tech21 Evo Art Case leaves

Tech21 Evo Art Protective Phone Case

Stylish art that stands out

Reasons to buy

+
Original artwork designs
+
Twelve foot drop protection

Reasons to avoid

-
Not very professional looking
-
Few design options

Tech21 Evo Art cases are stylish as well as protective. The company licenses original artwork, so you won't see the same designs wrapping everyone else's iPhone. We like the artistic floral pattern designs for the high-end iPhone 13 Pro, and we still get twelve feet of drop protection. Tech21 says the Evo Art cases use a plastic that repels messes, making it easier to clean.

Like all of the cases we recommend here, the Tech21 Evo Art case will work just fine with all of Apple's MagSafe accessories and chargers. There are raised bumpers around the camera to protect the fancy new lenses if the phone takes a fall.

Apple iPhone 13 Pro in Otterbox Fre

Otterbox Frē Series

Underwater protection all around

Reasons to buy

+
Waterproof protection
+
Built-in screen protector

Reasons to avoid

-
Big and bulky
-
Not much added water protection

If you need serious Otterbox protection for your new iPhone 13 Pro, the Otterbox Frē series adds even more waterproofing, protecting every inch of your new device. There are sealed port covers as well as a built-in screen protector, giving you up to two meters of waterproof protection. The iPhone can already handle more than a meter on its own, but you should feel more secure if you want to shoot photos or video underwater when your phone is housed in an Otterbox Frē.

Even though it wraps around the front and back of the phone, the Otterbox Frē still gives you MagSafe protection, so you can affix the phone to Apple's magnetic accessories and chargers. The case is also made from a majority of recycled plastics, including 25% from plastic recovered from the ocean.

How we test iPhone cases

We haven't had all of these iPhone 13 Pro cases in our test labs, but we have owned similar cases from each of these brands across multiple generations of phone models. We only recommend cases we trust, from brands we know well.

Our selections take into account online reviews, brand reputation, product capability, and unique features, to help you pick through the myriad choices available to you. If you don't find the exact case you'd like, check out other options from these case makers. There are interesting variations available at each.
