If you've never signed up before you can get a 30-day free trial of Amazon Prime to get access to each year's Prime Day deals. You get the same benefits as paid members, including free delivery, and access to other services such as Prime Video, Prime Music, Prime Gaming and more. You can cancel at any time during the trial to avoid paying the regular fee, which is $14.99 / £8.99 per month.

Amazon Fire HD 8 (32GB): was $99.99 now $54.99 at Amazon
The 2022 Fire HD 8 is an excellent buy for those looking for a compact Fire tablet. It's great for media consumption with its hooks into Amazon's media ecosystem, and the company even notes how things like Zoom and Spotify extend the functionality of the tablet even more. Sure, it's not the most powerful tablet in the world but at $54.99? It's a steal.

Amazon Fire HD 8 Plus (32GB): was $119.98 now $69.99 at Amazon
If you're worried about the Fire HD 8's internals not being able to deliver, there's also the Fire HD 8 Plus, which offers more greater performance, along with faster charging and support for wireless charging. Amazon's got a nice 42% discount on this through July 12, so feel free to take advantage.

Apple iPad 10.9 (2022): was $599 now $549 at Amazon
It seems the killer Prime Day discounts on the latest standard iPad are no more, meaning the base 64GB Wi-Fi-only model must have sold out, however, there's still a small discount on the 256GB model, if you were worried about the baseline storage anyway. You can also pick up a 64GB Wi-Fi + cellular model with the same discount as above.

Apple iPad Mini (2021, 64GB): was $499 now $399.99 on Amazon
This is a great price on the surprisingly powerful Apple iPad Mini (2021), the sixth generation of Apple's mini tablet. Sure, it was hair cheaper at the height of Prime Day, but this post-Prime-day deal still offers a decent reduction. The current Mini sports an 8.3-inch Liquid Retina display, an A15 chipset, offers up to ten hours of video playback and weighs less than 300 grams.

Apple iPad 10.2 (2021, 64GB): was $329 now $279.99 on Amazon
Another post-Prime Day discount that isn't quite as sweet but still worth considering. As you can still buy the iPad 10.2 new from Apple, so this is a worthwhile bargain on one of Apple's best current tablets. Even though it's a bit older for a base model iPad, Apple tablets are powerful enough to keep running for years, and Apple updates its older tablets with the latest iPad OS, far longer than rival Android tablets see support.

Apple iPad Air (2022, 64GB): was $599 now $551 at Amazon
The latest iteration of the company's super-thin iPad Air is currently on sale at Amazon for $551. That's $50 more than its Prime Day lowest but still a reduction on what remains the latest iPad Air. M1-power and Apple Pencil (gen 2) support in a stylish package.

Apple iPad Pro 12.9-inch (2022): was $1,099 now $1,049 at Amazon
The 128GB variant of Apple's latest iPad Pro 12.9-inch is back to within $50 off right now at Amazon. In our iPad Pro 12.9-inch review, we found that the current model doesn't offer a huge upgrade but does add more power to an already powerful tablet. Still, as a portable device for creatives, it's unbeatable right now, thanks to its gorgeous screen, speedy M2 chip and vast array of apps.

Renewed Apple iPad Pro 12.9-inch (2022, 256GB): was $1,149.99 now $979 at Amazon
You can punch above your wallet size if you get a renewed version of the iPad Pro 12.9-inch, saving 14% compared to a new model. There's a 256GB model that sells for less than the new 128GB model. As it's a 'renewed' model, it's new for all intents and purposes, internally.

This is also an 'Excellent Condition' model, which means that it should be indistinguishable from a fresh-out-of-the-box iPad Pro. To top it all off, Amazon offers a 90-day return policy if you aren't satisfied.

Lenovo Tab P11 (2023): was $269.99 now $199.99 on Amazon
The Lenovo Tab P11 gives you a big display for a bargain price. Comparable to the new Amazon Fire Max 11, the Lenovo Tab doesn't have the same Amazon software and subscription baggage, it's more of a pure Android tablet with all of Google's services preloaded. This is the best price we've seen for the second iteration of the Tab P11 from Lenovo, dropping an additional $30 compared to day one of Prime Day – a new low.

Lenovo Tab M10 Plus (3rd gen): was $189.99 now $124.99 on Amazon
The latest generation of the Lenovo Tab M10 Plus gives you surprisingly good specs for such a cheap price. You get 32GB of storage and 3GB of RAM, which isn't a lot but it's better than the competition and the Tab M10 Plus should perform admirable for all your basic tablet needs.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Plus: was $899.99 now $760.99 on Amazon
Our only problem with Samsung tablets like the Galaxy Tab S8 Plus is that they're too expensive, so this deal _ while not matching its all-time low of $599.99 – is still a noteworthy reduction. There are new tablets coming, but the Tab S8 Plus – with its OLED display and fast processor – will stand up to next year's model, especially if you can get it for a bargain.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S8: was $699.99 now $562.04 on Amazon
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 packs in more features than a basic iPad – thanks to Samsung's software improvements, but it wasn't quite worth the starting price. This Prime Day we saw prices drop as low as $499.99, which hasn't stuck in the aftermath but this current reduction is still pretty good. Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 FE: was $529.99 now $429.99 on Amazon
Samsung loves to make a bargain device for the fans, and the Galaxy Tab S7 FE gives you a huge 12.4-inch display – the same size as the Galaxy Tab S7 Plus, for much less. You get S Pen stylus compatibility, great performance, and now all with a fair chunk of change knocked off. You might find this tablet for a few bucks less on a special sale, but if you need a big screen at a bargain price, this Tab S7 FE deal is worth buying.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite: was $349.99 now $279 on Amazon
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite gives you a nice mix of premium style and features at an affordable price. This 20% off deal doesn't match its Prime Day low but it still stands as a nice discount on an already cheap tablet. You even get a pen included, which is a great bonus on a slate this affordable.

Amazon Kindle (2022): was $99.99 now $64.99 at Amazon
What's an Amazon Prime Day without a sale on Amazon Kindle ereaders? This Amazon Kindle (2022) got an update last year, and this is now the cheapest price we've seen on Amazon's basic but powerful portable ebook. The latest update gave the basic Kindle the same sharp display as the best Kindle Oasis, so it's a great reading tablet at a great price. 

Apple iPad Pro 11-inch (2021, 2TB): was £1,899 now £1,380.69 at Amazon
You can still save a decent 27% on the 2TB variant of the iPad Pro 11 (2021). This still-impressive tablet offers PC-like performance in the palm(s) of your hand, courtesy of its superb M1 chipset, and battery life is exceptionally strong, too. Our main gripe with the iPad Pro 11 (2021) was its high price when paired with high storage, but this Amazon deal goes some way to abating that criticism.

Apple iPad mini (2021, 64GB, cellular): was £749.99 now £599 at Amazon
While UK iPad Mini discounts are in short... supply this impressive offer surprised us by running past Prime Day. For some reason the 20% discount can only be found on the pink and purple, 64GB, Wi-Fi + cellular sixth-gen iPad Minis. If your primary iPad use is content consumption, then the iPad Mini may actually be the best option, as you'll find in our iPad mini (2021) review.

Apple iPad 10.9 (2022, cellular, 256GB): was £859 now £779.97 at Amazon
2022's 10.9-inch iPad comes in a range of pleasing colours, sports Apple's A14 Bionic chip, a Liquid Retina display and Wi-Fi 6. It's also the first in its line to commit to a landscape orientation, with a 12MP front-facing camera that boasts Centre Stage. It can be paired with the Apple Pencil (first-gen) and its own dedicated Magic Keyboard Folio, for enhanced productivity. The best reduction post-Prime Day seems to be 9% off the pink 256GB Wi-Fi + cellular model.

Apple iPad Air (2022, Wi-Fi, 64GB): was £669 now £577.99 at Amazon
Apple's iPad Air (2022) – the latest iteration of the company's super-thin tablet – has, after a brief £50 spike, reverted back to near its Prime Day low, at £577.99, which we'd say is a pretty good discount for what the latest Air brings to the table, what with its M1 power.

Amazon Fire HD 10 (32GB): was £159.99 now £69.99 at Amazon
For £90 off the standard RRP, you get the 32GB variant of the company's baseline 10-inch slate, which grants access to a host of Amazon content, smart home control and can be paired with great accessories, like a keyboard for enhanced productivity. The promise of 12-hour battery life doesn't hurt either.

Amazon Fire HD 8 (2022, 32GB): was £99.99 now £49.99 at Amazon
This Prime Day deal sees the price of the 2022 HD 8 cut in half. As per our Amazon Fire HD 8 (2022) review, we commended the tablet for serving as a great no-frills device to stream media on and although there's little else to shout about compared to its 2020 predecessor, a reduction this big is hard to pass up.

Amazon Fire Max 11 (64GB): was £249.99 now £139.99 at Amazon
Amazon's latest Fire tablet is also its most capable and most direct iPad rival. You'd usually pay £250 for this premium Fire slate, but this Prime Day offer shaves a sizeable 44% off the asking price. If you want the 128GB model, the Keyboard Case Bundle or the Productivity Bundle (which includes a stylus too), they're available with smaller reductions.

Amazon Fire HD 10 Kids Pro (32GB): was £209.99 now £119.99 at Amazon
Expect the added oomph afforded to the regular HD 10 Pro, with its superior performance and batter (over the standard HD 10) alongside an extended two-year guarantee, a tough case with an integrated grab handle that doubles as a kick stand, a year's subscription to child-appropriate content from Amazon Kids Plus and an app store with download requests managed by parental control.

Pair the capable hardware of the Amazon Fire HD 8 with the company's collection of child-friendly extras and you get the Fire HD 8 Kids. The most compact and affordable of Amazon's current Fire tablet family, the Fire 7 is a great device to gain access to Amazon's select of games, apps and services on the go, however, this deal on the 2022 model makes an affordable slate an even better deal, bringing the price below £45.

Amazon Fire 7 Kids (2022, 32GB): was £114.99 now £54.99 at Amazon
This offer sees the same compact and convenient tablet as the standard Fire 7, but it comes bolstered by a kid-proof case, a two-year warranty, parental controls and a year's subscription to Amazon Kids Plus (think heaps of child-friendly curated apps and media to enjoy).

Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 (256GB, Wi-Fi): was £799 now £649 at Amazon
Samsung's iPad Air rival is now priced at an attractive £649 this Prime Day. Especially when you consider this deal related to the 256GB model, that's far more storage than a similarly-priced iPad Air will get you. In our Galaxy Tab S8 hands-on review, we loved the display and performance of the tablet, as well as the premium feel and its included S-Pen.

Samsung Galaxy Tab A8 (2022, Wi-Fi, 32GB): was £219 now £145 at Amazon
The latest rendition of Samsung's more modest Galaxy Tab A8 has been made even more affordable for Prime Day 2023, coming in at under £150 for the Wi-Fi-only variant with 32GB of storage. It's excellent build quality was a welcome discovery in our Samsung Galaxy Tab A8 (2022) review, while its vibrant LCD and adaptable user experience mean it's great for enjoying media and productivity on a budget.

Xiaomi Pad 5, 128GB: was £349 now £329 at Amazon  We loved the Xiaomi Pad for its software that was optimized for a large display, a fantastic screen, and long-lasting battery life. If you're considering the Xiaomi Pad 5, you're more often than not thinking about it to rival the basic, adjectiveless iPad. For £329, it's doing very well.

Kindle (2022, 16GB): was £84.99 now £59.99 at Amazon
If all you're after is Amazon's most conventional ereader, you'll currently find a 29% discount on the latest 2022 standard Kindle, which boasts a high-resolution 6-inch display and is the first standard Kindle with convenient USB-C charging too.
