Tefal Easy Fry Dual Zone Digital Air Fryer: was £179.99 now £119.99 at Amazon
We haven't tested this model here at TechRadar but Tefal is a respected name in the world of kitchen appliances and this Easy Fry Dual Zone Air Fryer is a bargain at this record-low price. The 8.3L capacity is generous for the price, which is enough for up to eight – or it can be split in two and cook two different foods at once. With eight easy-to-use auto cooking programs, dishwasher-safe components and a compact size it's an excellent buy as your first air fryer.

Prime Gaming

Prime Gaming: get 15 free PC games through July 26
Amazon is giving away 15 PC games for free from now until July 26. Amazon eero Pro mesh Wi-Fi 5 router system: £364.20£129.99 at Amazon

Amazon eero Pro mesh Wi-Fi 5 router system: was £364.20 now £129.99 at Amazon
Mesh Wi-Fi systems sound like a fancy and complex bit of tech, but they're effectively just a way to improve or expand Wi-Fi coverage around your home – especially if you live in a larger space. This set gets you three additional routers at a massively reduced price that you can connect to your existing modem and spread around your home to eliminate dead zones. This one is genuinely an early Prime Day deal too as it's only available to members.

DisplayProcessorRAMStorageOS

Lenovo Chromebook Duet 3: was £399 now £249 at Amazon
Display
- 14 inches
Processor - Qualcomm Snapdragon
RAM - 8GB
Storage - 128GB
OS - ChromeOS

We're big fans of the Lenovo Chromebook Duet at TechRadar so definitely want to share this significant reduction on the flexible 11-inch laptop that brings it down to a record-low price for this configuration. In our very positive Lenovo Chromebook Duet review, we thought the original version offered an excellent balance between tablet portability and Chromebook flexibility. This version boasts 8GB of RAM for good performance and a healthy 128GB of storage. Plus, the day-long battery life is a huge boost for those who are always on the go.

Asus Vivobook 15 OLED: £749.99£549.99 at Amazon

Display
- 15.6 inches
Processor - Intel i5
RAM - 16GB
Storage - 1TB
OS - Windows 11

A laptop at this sort of price with an OLED screen is a rare find, so if you desire top-tier image quality for photo/video editing or watching TV/movies then this device is one to consider. We would have preferred a more powerful processor to help it keep up with more demanding jobs, but this is still a reasonably powerful laptop for handling the majority of computing needs.

Acer Chromebook 311: £229.99£149 at Amazon

Acer Chromebook 311: was £229.99 now £149 at Amazon

One of the best cheap laptop deals available is this Acer Chromebook 311 at Amazon. It's a basic device but suitable for those who need a portable and inexpensive laptop with reasonable battery life that just needs to handle schoolwork or light use. This is a safe and solid choice at a budget price that boasts an impressive 12-hour battery life and a small 11-inch display to make it easily portable.

Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 3 Chromebook: £429.99£249 at Amazon

Display
- 15 inches
Processor - Intel N6000
RAM - 8GB
Storage - 128GB
OS - ChromeOS

If you like a proper laptop setup, but would also appreciate the flexibility of a tablet, you don't have to choose between the two. Instead, you can pick up this cheap Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 3 that offers the best of both worlds. It's a relatively basic machine but fine for light use and everyday tasks thanks to a solid amount of RAM and the simplistic ChromeOS. And as long as you're happy to compromise on portability with its larger size, you get the added versatility to flip it to tablet mode at any time to make web browsing or watching videos even more comfortable. Storage is good at 128GB and there's also a solid 10-hour battery life – both very good at this price.

Cambridge Audio Melomania M100: £169 £139 at Amazon

Cambridge Audio Melomania M100: was £169 now £139 at Amazon
In the UK, these talented earbuds are now £30 off, which means 18% of the RRP stays with you. Our audio editor wants to impress upon you that a) this is the first discount we've seen on the new 2024 earbuds and b) she personally reviewed them extremely well – so feel free to check out her glowing Cambridge Audio Melomania M100 review. For sound quality and noise cancellation, they're a stone-cold bargain at this all-new lowest-ever price.

Shark IZ202UKT Cordless Vacuum Cleaner:£279.99£181.64 at Amazon

Shark IZ202UKT Cordless Vacuum Cleaner: was £279.99 now £181.64 at Amazon
A lot is going on with this affordable stick vacuum from top brand Shark. It has a runtime of up to 40 minutes, an anti-allergen complete seal, and comes with three extra attachments: a crevice tool, an upholstery tool, and an anti-hair wrap pet tool. It's a good choice of cordless vacuum for pet owners and general users at this low price.

Vax Blade 4: £369.99£219 at Amazon

Vax Blade 4: was £369.99 now £219 at Amazon
The Vax Blade 4 is an older vacuum now but it's still a great appliance and this offer is such great value for money. As well as the vacuum, you get two batteries that give you up to 90 minutes of run time, a stretch hose and a motorised pet tool. We're fans of the device, too, giving it four stars in our Vax Blade 4 review for its powerful suction, flexible uses and generous extras.

Google Pixel 7a + 30W Pixel Charger: £339 £299 at Amazon

Google Pixel 7a + 30W Pixel Charger: was £339 now £299 at Amazon
Those after an affordable Android phone on a budget should consider the Google Pixel 7a while it's down to its lowest-ever price – and bundled with a fast 30W charger that's usually £25 by itself. This phone is the brand's older mid-range device and is essentially a slightly scaled-down version of the standard Pixel 7. Despite that, it still manages to pack in the same chipset, an outstanding camera, and a 90Hz display, despite being around £100 - £200 cheaper. Overall, I think it's a bargain if you want a solid phone for cheap.

Google Pixel 8 Pro:£1,059£759 at Amazon

Google Pixel 8 Pro: was £1,059 now £759 at Amazon
This is the smartphone leader for the latest AI features and camera capabilities. Alongside the 6.7-inch display that's as good as the iPhone 15 Pro Max, there's also a fantastic camera with a telephoto lens. The phone will also fix any of your past Google Photos, even if they were taken with a different phone. This is the cheapest price we've ever seen for the Google Pixel 8 Pro with 256GB of storage.

Samsung Galaxy Watch 4: £199£99 at Amazon

Samsung Galaxy Watch 4: was £199 now £99 at Amazon
Amazon has dropped the price of the Galaxy Watch 4 to an all-time low. The half-price deal has just landed and gives you a very capable smartwatch for under £100. At this price, there are no better alternatives. It has good fitness and sleep tracking features, a strong battery life and a comfortable design. We'd suggest snapping up this fantastic deal while it's still available if you need a cheap yet solid wearable as the black version has already sold out.

Samsung Galaxy Watch 6: £289£179 at Amazon

Samsung Galaxy Watch 6: was £289 now £179 at Amazon
Amazon has a big saving on what we think is one of the best Galaxy smartwatches for most users. If you're into jogging, then you'll especially love the advanced running metrics, while Samsung phone users will find it connects seamlessly with integrated apps, especially Samsung Health. Third-party apps are abundant, too, including Whatsapp, Strava, and Spotify. Overall, it's an excellent all-around smartwatch at a fantastic low price.

When is Amazon Prime Day 2024?

Amazon Prime Day 2024 will take place on July 16 - 17, which is one of the periods we had predicted. The sale starts at midnight on Tuesday and runs until 23:59 on Wednesday.

However, some Prime Day deals will be available before this date. There are some already available at Amazon right now and more are due to launch from July 12.

Bookmark this page and check in regularly to ensure you get all the latest information.

How do I become an Amazon Prime member?

An Amazon Prime membership is required to buy all Prime Day deals. A subscription costs £8.99 per month or £95 for a year.

New subscribers who have used it before can get a 30-day Amazon Prime free trial to get access to the deals. This free trial also lets you take the other membership benefits for a spin, including free shipping, access to Prime Video and much more.

Read our Amazon Prime review for everything else you get as part of a membership and our thoughts on its value for money. Use that to help you decide if you want to cancel Amazon Prime once your free trial has ended or keep it going to enjoy the benefits.

Will there be a Prime Day in October 2024?

Over the last two years, Amazon has also run a second Prime Day event in October. Given how successful they've claimed it's been, we wouldn't be surprised if it's brought back again in 2024.

It'll likely continue to serve as a preview for the retailer's Black Friday deals in November and feature a re-run of many of the top offers from the first Prime Day.

Amazon Prime Day: buying advice

We've covered Amazon Prime Day at TechRadar for almost a decade so we know how the sale works and how to get the best deals. I've shared all our expertise and insights here, including the deals to look out for and which products have the best discounts during the event.

What are the best Amazon Prime Day deals?

The best Prime Day deals are generally on Amazon's own products, so it's the ideal time to pick up a Fire TV, Echo Dot, Kindle, Fire Tablet and the like. Every sale, we see that the retailer reduces these products to their lowest prices during Prime Day – and in many cases, they're cheaper than the deals ran over Black Friday.

Hundreds of other deals are also available across many of the most popular shopping categories at the retailer. These include TVs, laptops, appliances, smart home tech, gaming, fashion and more. We often see some of the lowest prices of the year so far on certain products but do be aware that some further reductions are sometimes saved for later in the year during Black Friday in November.

We'll be on hand to search through the sale to bring you all the best Amazon Prime Day deals right here. This includes price comparisons and price history where possible to help you make the best decision and ensure we're surfacing only the top bargains.

Amazon Prime Day vs Black Friday: should you wait?

Amazon Prime Day and Black Friday are well known for offering some of the year's best deals. And while there's a good four months between both sales events, it's still worth considering whether you should hit buy now or wait for November to pick up any items on your shopping list.

Here are my top tips on what to buy and what to avoid during Amazon Prime Day:

Amazon Devices
Prime Day is the one time of the year when Amazon Devices fall to their lowest-ever prices. That means it's the best time to pick up some smart home tech such as a Fire TV Stick, Echo Dot, Kindle or Ring Doorbell – to name just a few options.

Back-to-school gear
It might be a little early, but we've found in previous events that Amazon Prime Day offers a good opportunity to pick up any back-to-school tech or essentials. This includes products from our areas of expertise such as laptops, tablets and headphones, but also clothing, stationary and other supplies.

Major appliances
Amazon does sell major appliances but it's rarely the best place to shop if you want a new refrigerator, washing machine, dishwasher or oven. We'd suggest sticking to other larger retailers such as Currys and Samsung for the best offers – especially during other yearly sales events.

2024 TVs
You'll find a good number of TV deals during Prime Day but – outside of a few rare examples – we'd encourage you to wait until Black Friday if you're buying a brand-new 2024 TV. Some discounts for the three-to-six-month-old displays are a good start, but they will almost certainly be cheaper in November. Instead, stick to the older LG, Samsung and Sony models from 2023, or go for more budget-friendly options by Hisense, Insignia and TCL or a Fire TV.
