Microsoft has confirmed that has simplified the ranges of its Office 2010 suite, and that all versions of the software will contain OneNote.

Alongside Microsoft announcement of the beta and release dates for Exchange 2010, something else emerged – the preliminary details of Office 14, now officially known as Office 2010.

We knew Microsoft was almost ready to lift the lid on the next version of its Office suite of software, but we hadn't expected the surprises that appear in the offing.

Steve Ballmer has confirmed that Office 14 will not be out until 2010, but stated that the recent global price cut has had a positive effect for Microsoft.
