A HP laptop, Microsoft Surface laptop and Asus Chromebook on an orange background

I've picked out some of this month's best laptop deals right here, including impressive savings on Chromebooks, Windows machines and Apple devices from the likes of Amazon, Dell, Currys, and more.

It's a relatively quiet time of the year in terms of sales events, but you can still find some good savings on several devices in there are still some solid laptop deals available now in a variety of retailer's clearance sales. We've also just heard there will be an Amazon Spring Sale from March 25 so expect some strong offers soon, too.

I've considered many factors when selecting these best laptop deals. This includes the price, of course, but also the level of performance you can expect and value for money. Ultimately, I want to ensure you get a capable machine that does everything you need for the money you have to spend.

Many of my picks include the highest-rated brands or models that have been tested here at TechRadar or are featured in our best laptops guide, so you can be sure you're getting a quality device.

And where our team hasn't had hands-on experience, I've looked at other expert reviews, user feedback, price history and our knowledge of a brand's previous models to ensure only the best laptop deals make it onto this page.

The best laptop deals in March 2025

Lenovo IdeaPad 3 Chromebook
Lenovo IdeaPad 3 Chromebook: was £235 now £189.99 at Amazon

Display - 14 inches
Processor - MediaTek Kompanio 520
RAM - 8GB
Storage - 128GB

One of the best cheap laptop deals is this Lenovo IdeaPad 3 Chromebook at Amazon. It's a basic device but suitable for those who need a portable and inexpensive laptop with reasonable battery life to handle schoolwork or light use. This is a safe and solid choice at a budget price with an impressive 13.5-hour battery life and a decent-sized 14-inch display.

Asus Vivobook 15
Asus Vivobook 15: was £329.99 now £279.99 at Amazon

Display - 15.6-inches
Processor - AMD Ryzen 3
RAM - 8GB
Storage - 512GB

💰 A good cheap Windows laptop
✅ Solid entry-level performance
❌ Weaker processor for basic tasks only

I usually recommend Chromebooks for those on a tight budget but I think this Asus Vivobook 15 is a surprisingly decent low-cost Windows device. Sure, it's not a world-beater, but you get 8GB of RAM, a large 512GB SSD for storage and an AMD Ryzen 5 processor, which are enough to cover the basics. Generally speaking, these specs won't carry you far, but they're fine if you're using your laptop for word processing, streaming shows, web browsing, video calls, or answering emails.

Samsung Galaxy Book4
Samsung Galaxy Book4: was £499 now £399 at Currys

Display - 15.6-inches
Processor - Intel i3
RAM - 8GB
Storage - 256GB

It's an older model now but this Samsung Galaxy Book4 is great value for money following a £100 discount at Currys. You can find similar entry-level laptops for less, but the Book4 boasts a slicker and slimmer design that's not found on the cheaper models. You also get decent performance for the price that's best suited to light use and everyday tasks such as web browsing, word processing, sending emails, making video calls, streaming media and other admin tasks.

Dell Inspiron 14
Dell Inspiron 14: was £649 now £499 at Dell Technologies UK

Display - 15.6 inches
Processor - Intel Core 7
RAM - 16GB
Storage - 512GB

💰 High-end laptop at a mid-range price
✅ Fantastic performance for the price
❌ More storage would be nice at this price

This Inspiron 14 is my top pick of all the laptop deals in the latest Dell sale. With a modern Intel Core 7 processor, 16GB of RAM, and a decent 512GB SSD, it's the best buy if you have a reasonable budget and need a device that will comfortably handle your day-to-day computing jobs and some more demanding work. Expect solid performance, good multitasking capabilities, and speedy load times that make this a seriously impressive laptop for the price.

Asus Vivobook S 14 OLED
Asus Vivobook S 14 OLED: was £1,149 now £699 at Currys

Display: 14 inches
Processor:
Intel Core Ultra 5
RAM: 16GB
Storage: 512GB

💰 Big saving on a gorgeous OLED laptop
✅ High power with sharp and crisp OLED display
❌ That OLED screen demands a premium price

If display quality is just as important to you as power then strongly consider this Asus Vivobook deal at Currys. It comes with a top-end OLED screen that offers a clear and sharp image – whether you're working on documents or streaming your favourite TV shows. Specs are solid elsewhere, too, including a modern Intel Core Ultra 5 CPU and 16GB of RAM that ensure excellent overall performance.

Dell XPS 15
Dell XPS 15: was £1,249 now £1,029 at Dell Technologies UK

Display - 15 inches
Processor - Intel i7
RAM - 16GB
Storage - 1TB

💰 Good price for a Dell XPS 15
✅ Built with modern, high-end components
❌ Bad webcam and weak speakers

This is the lowest price I've seen for one of the most powerful and stylish laptops from Dell that features a crisp display and handy backlit keyboard. The XPS 15 is still a pricey device, but it's packed with high-end components, including an Intel i7 processor, 16GB of RAM and a generous 1TB SSD for storage. It's impressive raw power at a big discount that will blast through all computing tasks and give you the power you need for advanced and demanding jobs such as video and photo editing.

Laptop deals: our buying advice

How we choose the best laptop deals

It all comes down to what's included in the price. We've been tracking all the best laptop deals for a number of years now, so we have a solid idea of what level of performance and components you can get for your money. Using that as a baseline, we can pick out the treasures from the trash.

We also take into consideration what you might need a laptop for based on the money you have to spend. So, if it's just a basic device for some light work, general browsing and media streaming, there's no point recommending a £1,000 laptop as it would be completely unnecessary. Instead, we look at devices between £100 - £300 that could handle those tasks and recommend some laptop deals accordingly.

However, if there's a particularly good reason to spend a little extra money (maybe for some extra performance-boosting RAM or a healthy storage upgrade) then we'll mention that too for your consideration. Sometimes it's worth that investment to better future-proof yourself and end up with a noticeably better device.

Our search takes us across all the major and specialist retailers, so you can be sure we've taken a comprehensive look across the web to pick out the best laptop deals. All the laptops you see here are hand-picked and judged by a real human, too, so each one is given a proper and detailed assessment before it gets added.

Laptop deals: our top buying tips

Some laptop deals can often lure you in with a sub-£200 price tag, but unless you're picking up a Chromebook you're unlikely to get your money's worth with these particular models.

Chromebooks run on the slim Chrome OS, which means they do not need as expensive components to offer a decent level of performance for everyday tasks such as browsing, sending email, light work and watching videos. That means you will regularly find cheap laptops under £200 that are well worth your cash - provided you're picking one up with these capabilities in mind.

These kinds of budget laptops are regularly found on sale, but every now and then we do spot savings that offer mid-range specs for entry-level prices.

If there's a laptop deal available between £300 - £400 with 8GB of RAM then we consider that a top offer. It's rare to get this useful performance boost at such a reasonable price, so snap that up if you like your machine to have a little more horsepower to handle multitasking and more demanding work.

As we get to the upper end of £600 or more, you're looking at some premium devices here with top-of-the-line components. You can still get some solid everyday machines here that are reasonably affordable for a lot of power.

As prices go up, though, we're into the region of creative workstations such as the MacBook, Dell XPS 13 and Asus VivoBook Pro. Offers on these are actually fairly regular, just don't expect to see mega discounts of more than around £100 - £200.
