Ninja Foodi PossibleCooker 6L 8-in-1 slow cooker: was £119 now £99 at Amazon
Treat yourself to the ultimate slow cooker this Christmas with this great record-low discount on the Ninja Foodi PossibleCooker. We haven't reviewed this one personally here at TechRadar but we're big fans of Ninja as a brand and this is a rare discount on a popular appliance. Make sure you apply the £20 voucher at checkout to get this handy 8-in-1 cooker which can handle rice, pasta, steaming, sauteing, and even overnight slow cooking all-in-one.
MSI Cyborg 15.6-inch gaming laptop: was £999 now £799 at Currys
This MSI Cyborg is a strong contender for gaming laptop deal of the day over at Currys thanks to its solid line-up of an RTX 4060 graphics card, Intel Core i7 chipset, 16GB of RAM, and 512GB SSD. Put together, these are great specs for 1080p gaming and today's massive £200 price cut easily makes this one of the best bang for the buck machines going currently. Recommended.
TCL 55V6BK 55-inch 4K Smart TV: was £298 now £258 at Amazon
Here's a great deal on a cheap 4K TV that's even cheaper than Black Friday. A £50 saving might not seem like much, but this TCL 55V6BK was already sitting cheap at £300 considering it supports 4K resolution, HDR 10, and comes with Android TV built-in for easy streaming. Don't expect an incredible picture here or super speedy gaming performance, but for a budget option - solid.
Honor Pad X8a 11-inch tablet: was £139 now £89.99 at Amazon
This budget tablet has been hovering around the £100 mark for a few weeks now but Amazon has just issued a brand-new record-low price on the Honor Pad X8a. We haven't reviewed the 'a' version of this tablet, but we have reviewed the standard X8 and found it to be a solid budget choice. This is a slightly upgraded version with more RAM, a bigger battery, and a more powerful chipset. In short, it's just a way better tablet and one that's likely to stack-up well against the other budget options from Amazon and Samsung in this price range.
Breville sandwich maker: was £35 now £25 at Amazon
A Christmas gifting classic - who hasn't given or received a Breville sandwich maker at some point? Right now, this well-loved appliance is sitting at the cheapest price all year at Amazon - cheaper than on Black Friday, in fact. There's not much to say here - this is just a great deal on a solid appliance that's perfect for warming and toasting all kinds of breads, sandwiches, and paninis.
Ninja Black Perfect Temperature Kettle: was £99 now £59.99 at Ninja
Throw out that crusty old kettle and get perfect results everytime with this Ninja Black Perfect Temprature Kettle. Featuring rapid boil and six different settings, this appliance is a must-have if you're serious about getting the perfect brew every time.
LEGO at Argos: get 20% off with code
You can use the code LEGO20 at check out to knock a massive 20% off the listing price of a massive range of LEGO kits at Argos today. There are over 150 individual kits eligible for this discount, including Disney, Harry Potter, Mario, and other well-known crossover brands.
Asus Vivobook S15 laptop: was £999 now £749 at Very
This Asus Vivobook laptop has just hit a new record-low price at Very today. At just £749, this high-end laptop is an absolute steal considering you get a 3K OLED display, powerful Ryzen 9 processor, 16GB of RAM, and a 1TB SSD. While it's not a cheap laptop by any stretch of the imagination, this one will have no issues powering through most tasks with it's superb chipset and gorgeous OLED display.
Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra: free Chromebook with contract at Mobiles.co.uk
The phones retailer Mobiles.co.uk is throwing in a free Samsung ChromeBook Go with specific Galaxy S24 Ultra contracts this week - a pretty damn good bundle deal if you were thinking about upgrading. While not all of the retailer's plans are eligible for the freebie here (it's mostly ID Mobile and Vodafone options), the laptop is still worth about £250 by itself. Certain plans also come with free Galaxy Buds3 also so be on the lookout for those.
Hisense A6N 50-inch 4K Smart TV: was £329 now £259 at EE Store
It's rare to find such a big 50-inch inch 4K TV for under £259 so this Hisense A6N is an easy recommendation - even if it isn't a world-beating set. You won't get an amazing picture here, or high-end gaming performance but this Hisense will get you streaming 4K content with Dolby Vision and HDR10+ support for a great price. Again, worth a look if you're on a budget this December.
Even though the console has only just come out, EE has already taken £40 off the brand-new PS5 Pro. What's more, if you have an existing PS5 to trade in, you can get up to another £260 off, bringing the price to as little as £399. The upgraded PS5 Pro boasts greater power over the base console, enabling select games to look better and run smoother. Plus, there's 2TB of storage included, which is double the amount in the standard PS5. Just know, though, that this console doesn't have a disc drive so you'll need to buy all of your games digitally on the PS Store – or buy the PS5 Disc Drive accessory and attach it to the console to play physical games.
This excellent air fryer is already discounted but you can use the code NINJA20 at checkout to knock a further £40 off the price at Very today. The Foodi FlexDrawer is one of our favourite models from Ninja, earning an impressive four and a half stars out of five during our review. We loved its ease of use, great results, and generous capacity - although note that this is one big air fryer so it's not the best for those with limited work-top space.
Google Pixel 8 Pro + Fitbit Charge 6: was £899 now £499 at Amazon
This is an excellent low price for Google's previous generation flagship phone that boasts some smart AI features in the heart of the phone and improves how you experience it. It is for this reason that the Pixel 8 Pro tops our new list of the best AI phones. The 6.7-inch display is as good as the iPhone 15 Pro Max and the camera is equally impressive. The phone will also fix any of your past Google Photos, even if they were taken with a different phone. All that, plus a free Fitbit, make this an excellent deal.
I'm sneaking this one into my tech roundup as it's an excellent gift idea for the puzzle fan in your life. Much like the Wordles, Heardles and Connections of the world, you can expect dozens of bite-sized puzzles in this collection. Each one asks you to solve silly and increasingly elaborate crimes by using the clues to eliminate suspects, weapons and locations in a strange but compelling mix of Cluedo and Sudoku.
PSVR 2 is an incredible VR headset for PS5, and it's since been updated to work on PC. This bundle featuring Horizon: Call of the Mountain is the same price as the headset by itself at a new record-low price, so this is the version I'd recommend if you want the most bang for your buck. Especially as the accompanying game is a killer app for PSVR 2.
£70 is, in my opinion, the ideal amount to add to your wallet - especially when you save £10.50 with code DIGITAL15. This gift card will give you more than enough to pick up a popular AAA game like Marvel's Spider-Man 2 or a good few months of PS Plus.
The Sony WH-1000MX4 are older now but they are still some of the best over-ear headphones ever. These wireless Sony cans package together top-notch audio, excellent comfort, and effective noise cancellation all at a reasonable price point that's about £70 less than the newer Sony XM5 that are only a minor upgrade. We still rate these as the best headphones for most people because you can find them at a price like this during major sales.
The Galaxy Z Fold 6 isn't a device for everyone - it is, after all, incredibly expensive. With that said, today's deal at the EE Store cuts a whopping £730 off this device via cashback - which is a stunning deal considering this is for an unlocked device. Even better still, you don't need to trade-in for this particular promotion, unlike with other similar discounts at the major networks and Samsung itself.
The LG B4 may be the entry level OLED in LG's 2024 TV lineup, but it delivers spectacular picture quality with rich contrast and fine details, along with a wealth of gaming features including 4K, 120Hz, Dolby Vision gaming, VRR and more. Available for the first time 48-inches, this deal takes the newest size down to a record low of under £800 -- easily the cheapest way to get a 2024 OLED TV!
The iPad 10.2 is a little older model but it remains a great deal at this discounted price ahead of Boxing Day. The 10.2-inch Retina display and A13 Bionic chip ensure excellent picture quality and superior performance to this day. If you need an entry-level slate for web browsing, streaming videos, light admin work or playing basic games then this can do it all without issue. Right now, when it comes to powerful and affordable tablets that offer excellent value for money, nothing else can beat the Apple iPad 10.2 at this price.
The Ninja Double Stack is a great-looking air fryer packed with key features. It has a capacity of 7.6 litres across the two baskets with six preset functions and two independent cooking zones. Its functions include roasting, baking, and dehydrating, so there’s something for every cooking plan here. It cooks up to 55% faster than your fan oven so it’s a great money and timesaver.
This beats the discount we saw last year by £20 on the latest generation Apple AirPods Pro 2 with USB-C support. As well as that more universal connection option, Apple's newest premium earbuds come with sought-after improvements to audio quality and noise cancellation. In our AirPods Pro 2 review, we said that these upgrades ensured they were a big step up compared to the originals and helped them truly compete with other high-end buds.
TechRadar's top camera of 2024, the Nikon Z6 III, is available with an incredible £700 price cut at Jessops right now. This fantastic mirrorless camera was just released a few months ago and features an impressive 24.5MP full-frame partially stacked sensor with vastly improved autofocus and 6K video up to 60fps. Our Nikon Z6 III review awarded this excellent camera a full five stars out of five, which feels like excellent value now with this incredible record-low price.
If you're looking for a slightly bigger smart home display, Amazon has the latest Echo Show 8 on sale for £94.99. That's back to the record-low price I saw during Black Friday. The eight-inch display allows you to make calls, watch movies, check the weather, and control compatible smart home devices completely hands-free thanks to Alexa compatibility. The addition of room-filling spatial audio gives a big boost to all of these features to improve sound quality.
The Shark Stratos has all you could need from a vacuum cleaner and at a very good price after this huge discount. It has a cartridge system which protects against dust cup odours that always come alongside pet hair and dander. Its Clean Sense IQ technology knows when to adjust the power and you won’t have to worry about hair getting trapped and wrapped up in the brush-roll. Meanwhile, 60 minutes of runtime should suit most homes.
It's rare to see the Xbox Series X retail for less than £400 these days, but this Certified Refurbished console deal is a great way to do so. As mentioned, these polished-up pre-owned consoles work as good as new, and offer a cheaper and more sustainable way to get into the Xbox ecosystem for the first time.
Here's a strong saving on some of the best bone conduction headphones for runners that we've tried thanks to their impressive audio quality, comfortable fit and safety features. The Shokz OpenRun offer an eight-hour battery life, but you can also fast-charge them for ten minutes before going for a run in order to grab a full 90 minutes of juice.
Here's a great option if you're looking for a relatively cheap Windows laptop in the run-up to Boxing Day. With a 12th gen Intel Core i5 chipset, 8GB of RAM, and a 512GB SSD, you're getting good specs for basic computing tasks with this Asus Zenbook. The main selling point for this model, however, is the 2.4k resolution display and slick lightweight 14-inch form-factor, which makes it great if you need something portable.
This compact capsule coffee machine is incredibly easy to use, virtually mess-free, and comes bundled with a handy milk-frother for lattes and cappuccinos. The set usually sells for around £130 at Amazon, and has hit a record-low price today with delivery in time for Christmas.
Score a Garmin Vivoactive 5 for £50 less in this early sale from Amazon. The Vivo 5 is a brilliant all-rounder with an AMOLED display and 11 days of battery life, making it a great Apple Watch swap for runners and active users. The excellent Garmin Connect app can help you plan workouts and running routes, while you can follow along with gym-based exercises on the screen.
The latest wearable in Fitbit's range of dedicated fitness trackers has dropped back to its cheapest price in the current Amazon sale - just in time for that new year fitness push. It's a small but welcome £40 saving on a device we found lighter, prettier and smarter compared to the previous version in our Fitbit Charge 6 review. Key features include a seven-day battery life, onboard GPS and GLONASS, sleep tracking, smart wake, SpO2 blood oxygen tracking and all the other features the excellent Charge 5 offered.
This great value set includes two bayonet bulbs, which fit most UK ceiling fixtures, and the Hue Bridge hub that connects them to your Wi-Fi network so you can control them with your phone or smart speaker. It's hit a record-low price at Amazon, with delivery in time for Christmas.
I've seen a lot of people talk about and use Loop earplugs lately so if you want to see what the fuss is all about then this entry-level pair is down to a record-low price. Use them to block out noise on a commute, help you focus in the office, protect your ears from loud music at bars or concerts, or help you create a better environment for sleep. They're reusable and can last for up to five years so a good investment if you'll be a regular user.
Need a powerful laptop but don't want to break the bank? This Asus Vivobook has a great deal over at Very this week, with a massive £340 saving in total. With a powerful Core i7 chipset, 16GB of RAM, and 512GB SSD, this machine is more than capable of even relatively intensive tasks. I could see this one being a particularly good choice for those who need a reliable working-from-home machine.
The Fire HD 8 tablet is unlikely to make it into our list of the best tablets but if you're after a cheap tablet that does the basics well, then you'll be more than satisfied. It's not the most powerful device but this cheap and durable tablet lasts up to 13 hours, making it good for light use and watching videos. It's still at its Black Friday price - but not for long.
Display - 13.6 inches
Processor - Apple M2
RAM - 8GB
Storage - 256GB
As suspected, with Apple bumping up the base memory of the MacBook Air M2 and M3 to 16GB, retailers are cutting the prices of their existing stock of models with 8GB. While not the most powerful MacBook out there, this version with the M2 chip remains an excellent all-rounder, especially when it comes to day-to-day tasks like browsing the internet and writing up documents. For this new low price, you'll struggle to find a better value laptop than this, even if there's less memory than I'd like to see.
Display - 14 inches
Processor - Intel i5
RAM - 8GB
Storage - 512GB
Currys has taken a whopping £300 off this mid-range laptop that boasts a slick 14-inch IPS screen, Intel i5 processor, 8GB of RAM, a 512GB SSD and a decent up to 14-hour battery life. These components ensure solid overall performance for most day-to-day tasks including browsing, working and streaming videos. I'm particularly impressed with the large and fast storage at this price, which is more than enough room for your files, applications, photos, videos and more.
This entry-level electric toothbrush is a solid pickup while it's less than half price in Amazon's latest sale. It doesn't boast many impressive high-end features but it has the basic ones you really need to brush your teeth effectively and efficiently, including a two-minute timer and a visible pressure sensor. Plus, you get a handy carry case included for free.
The Microsoft Surface Laptop proved very popular this Black Friday, thanks no doubt to almost identical offers on either side of the Atlantic. Its Snapdragon X Elite CPU is impressive while still offering up to 20 hours of battery life, and its 15-inch touchscreen display looks great with HDR technology and an ultra-thin design. It's a genuine MacBook Air M3 rival, and still on sale today.
Boxing Day sales: A-Z of best retailers
Just below you can see our massive A-Z list of the best retailers if you're planning on shopping the 2024 Boxing Day sales. Note that several stores already have early 'Winter' sales to shop right now that are definitely worth checking out if you're interested. Others won't launch their sales for a few days but I've included exactly what to expect, based on our coverage of previous events.
A
Abercrombie & Fitch - men's and women's fashion
Abercrombie & Fitch features a huge selection of both men's and women's fashion as well as the Fierce fragrance line and YPB active war. Right now you can already save across the retailer's stock thanks to an early seasonal sale - with up to 25% off.
Adidas - sportswear and apparel
Adidas is always a great choice for apparel over the Boxing Day and New Year's period. The retailer usually offers up to up to 50% off across a range of men's, women's, and kid's sportswear. Also included are hoodies, leggings, trainers, tees, and plenty of accessories too. If you're looking for a new school bag, for example, this is a great option.
Affordable Mobiles - phone contracts, SIM only
If you're after the latest iPhone or Samsung Galaxy device, you'll be able to score a generous contract from the likes of EE, O2, Vodafone, and Three at Affordable mobiles. This retailer is already running a seasonal sale right now - which includes SIM only offers as well as deals on iPhone 16, Galaxy S24, and Google Pixel devices.
Alienware - premium gaming PCs and laptops
Whether you're looking to stock up on PC gaming gear or you're after a whole new rig, take a look at Dell's Alienware section for end-of-year discounts. Generally speaking, the biggest price cuts tend to be on the gaming laptops, but you'll also find great options on pre-built Alienware Aurora desktops - a great alternative to forking out for a pricey graphics card and building your own.
Amazon - tech, home, fashion, beauty
Amazon's massive range of categories and next-day Prime delivery means it's an excellent place for grabbing super cheap tech, homeware, kitchen accessories, and more this year. Amazon's end-of-year sales tend to run from late November through to January, but the Boxing Day sales and January sales are usually great for own-brand devices, booze, and tons of cheap stocking fillers.
AO - appliances, laptops, TVs
AO.com doesn't quite have the big brand recognition of Amazon or Currys, but its inventory of appliances, TVs, and cheap laptops is absolutely vast. Of particular note at AO are the large number of excellent clearance deals available across a huge range of cookers, washing machines, and other appliances. Keep an eye out for coupon codes too as further sales are usually available on a wide range of products at checkout.
Argos - toys, appliances, tech, clothes
A staple of the Boxing Day sales, Argos is also great for last-minute gifts and decor. A few highlight from last year's sales include 50% off home goods and furniture, 50% off jewellery and beauty, and 50% off select sporting and fitness goods - particularly handy if you're looking to start the new year with some training goals.
Asos - men's and women's fashion
One of the biggest fashion retailers available online, popular brands stocked at ASOS include Nike, Adidas, New Balance, FCUK, to name just a few. The retailer's end-of-year blow-out sale usually launches late December and includes up to 50% off a wide range of stock.
B
B&Q - kitchens, bathroom, DIY, storage
Traditionally known for its huge Boxing sales in-store, the DIY retailer B&Q also has a huge selection of items discounted online. These can include 25% off kitchen fittings, bathroom goods, and four for three on storage. Also included are discounts on power tools and paints - which is handy if you're looking to do some DIY in the new year.
Boohoo - women's and men's fashion
Boohoo's end-of-year sale includes massive savings of up to 80% off a range of women's and men's fashion. Boohoo is less brand-focused, but there is a good range of categories to browse here, including a massive range of winter clothing as well as discounts on shoes and accessories.
Boots - beauty, fragrances, baby
Boots is a Boxing Day sales staple but it's also great for last-minute gifts throughout the winter period. Mostly focused on skincare products, Boots is also fantastic for fragrances, gift sets, and discounts on smart scales, Dyson air wraps, and fitness smartwatches. Keep an eye out for coupon codes throughout December and January especially, as well as upfront discounts.
C
Carphone Warehouse - phone contracts
Carphone Warehouse's wide selection of phone contracts and SIM-only deals offer some of the most competitive options on the market throughout December and January. If you're looking for a cheap contract, I'd recommend checking out the own-brand ID Mobile options at Carphone as they're easily some of the cheapest on the market right now - and they're available with the iPhone 16, Galaxy S24, and other recent devices.
CDKeys - cheap games
Looking to get some cheap games for your new console? CDKeys is a well-recognised seller of PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and PC codes. As with other big games sites, you can expect a big end-of-year sale at CDKeys, with not just options for cheap games but also discounts on popular game passes too.
Currys - TVs, laptops, appliances
Probably the best retailer in the Boxing Day sales if you're looking for tech - Currys has a fantastic track record for discounts on TVs, laptops, headphones, and other popular categories. Keep an eye out for Black Friday rollovers and the retailer's excellent price matching options - which is a handy option considering how many retailers offer discounts on tech over this extremely busy period.
Cotswold Outdoor - outdoor clothing, shoes, equipment
Who doesn't love Patagonia, Arc'Teryx, and North Face? Well, you'll find these in-demand brands as well as many other stocked and ready-to-go at Cotswold Outdoor, as well as plenty of boots, accessories, tents, and other outdoor equipment. This retailer usually has sales all year round but keep an eye out over Boxing Day and January for further discounts and clearance deals.
D-F
Dell - computing and accessories
One of my favourite retailers for Boxing Day deals on laptops and desktops, the official Dell store is always worth considering. Buying directly from Dell usually yields the cheapest prices on its excellent machines, just keep an eye out for discount codes to apply at checkout for maximum value. Model-wise, The Inspiron makes for a great cheaper machine while the premium XPS impresses with its high-end build quality and features.
Disney - toys, clothing, gifts
Another extremely popular retailer over Christmas, Boxing Day, and New Year, Disney usually holds a great end-of-year sale across a range of toys, ornaments, and clothing from such well-known franchises as Star Wars, Frozen, Aladdin, and many more. It's not just kid's stuff here either, if you're a massive fan of Disney, you'll also find discounted Christmas jumpers, pyjamas, and other apparel.
DJI - Drones, action cameras, and accessories
There's plenty more to DJI's store than mind-blowingly expensive drones. You'll find Boxing Day discounts on everything from Osmo action camera gear to mid-range quadcopters and the Pocket line of accessories as well. Want to save even more? Consider picking something up from the official DJI refurbished section.
Dyson - vacuums and hair appliances
Looking to treat yourself and make that post-Christmas clean-up easier? Dyson runs an official shop that's a great option if you're looking for a discount on one of its premium vacuum cleaners or its excellent range of small appliances. Keep an eye out for discounts of up to £100 on fan heaters, SuperSonic hair dryers, V8 vacuums, and Air Wrap straighteners.
E
eBay - tech, fashion, decor
You can find pretty much anything under the sun on eBay, and with plenty of high street retailers like Currys and Argos offering cheaper stock on the marketplace site, the face of eBay has certainly changed over the years. You'll find an eBay Money Back Guarantee in place, as well as regular site-wide discount codes.
Ebuyer - computing and accessories
If you're looking to pick up some cheap PC gaming components, accessories, or pre-built rigs, then definitely check out Ebuyer this month. Available throughout the winter period are discounts of up to 50% on all things computing - and that includes monitors or anything you could ever need for a working-from-home setup.
EE - phone and SIM only contracts
The UK's fastest network not only offers up excellent phone contracts on the latest handsets, but also increasingly features gaming consoles, accessories, and discounts on internet packages. This retailer has been particularly strong on PS5 deals over the past few weeks so I'd definitely recommend checking-in if you're an avid console gamer.
Emma: up to 40% off premium mattresses
We think the Emma Original is the best mattress for side sleepers right now, and luckily, the brand offers great Boxing Day sales. This retailer has already launched its big end-of-year sale so there's no need to wait if you're on the hunt for up to 40% off premium mattresses.
Evans Cycles - bikes and accessories
Evans is the place to be if you're looking for end-of-year seasonal discounts on leading brands like GT, Specialized, and Cannondale. If you already have a sweet ride, then also check out the great prices on clothing and cycling accessories. Fitness trackers, lights, and muscle massagers are also sold here, making this a one-stop shop for cycling fans.
F
Fitness Superstore - gym equipment
It's never a bad idea to spruce up the home gym in time for new year. From home exercise machines to weights and boxing equipment, there's plenty on offer here and regular clearance sales as well.

Fonehouse is a well-trusted online phone store, with regular discounts on everything from the cheapest Samsung devices to the latest iPhones. Not only that, but you can also take advantage of an excellent upgrade scheme to trade in your old devices.
Footasylum - sportswear and apparel
If you're a fan of your sportswear or sports fashion, then you'll find a ton of discounts on Nike, Adidas, Puma, and quite a few lesser-known brands at the Footasylum Boxing Day sale. This retailer's big end-of-year event offers a large range of discounts on not just on footwear, either. You'll also find jackets, bottoms, and a wide range of accessories available at this retailer.
Furniture Village - decor, furnishings, furniture
If you're looking to renovate the house for the new year, you'll find a massively expanded clearance sale running throughout late December / early January at Furniture Village. You'll find living room, dining room, bedroom and bathroom furniture, fittings, and accessories here. Note, if you're interested in shopping early, keep an eye out for early bird offers and clearance deals available at this retailer.
Fortnum & Mason - home, food, beauty
Luxury London-based store Fortnum & Mason is best known for its premium food hampers - think Champagne, quail's eggs, and smoked salmon - but it also sells high-end beauty products, clothing, accessories, and homeware. This retailer usually features a big end-of-year sale with up to 50% off a range of Christmas-related products.
G
GAME - Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo, PC

Google - phones and smart home
Google Store is one own-brand premium tech retailer that actually offers juicy discounts on its own products, unlike some - *cough* Apple *cough*. Alongside the usual trade-in rebates for the latest smartphones, also keep an eye out for upfront discounts on smart home products and holiday-special bundles.
GO Outdoors - outdoor apparel
Regardless of whether you're looking for discounts on clothing, boots, backpacks, or tents, one of the biggest sales you'll find this month is over at Go Outdoors. This retailer offers a range of continuation discounts from Black Friday on well-known brands such as Rab, Regatta, Berghaus, and Salomon.
H
H&M - women's, men's and kid's fashion
H&M is a popular destination in the Boxing Day sales - both for its excellent online store and in brick-and-mortar. The store has a strong track record for massive clearance deals of up to 50% across a wide range of men's, women's, and also kid's fashion, as well as a large range of beauty products. Boxing Day sales 2024: everything you need to know
When do Boxing Day sales start?
Contrary to what the name may suggest, the annual Boxing Day sales are generally multi-day or multi-week affairs in the UK. Generally speaking, you can expect most retailers to launch their end-of-year-sales sometime in mid-December. In some rare cases, some retailers may simply roll-over their sales from Black Friday and Cyber Monday in late November through to the end of the year.
Boxing Day sales 2024: what to expect
Expect a lot of retailers holding 'Winter sales' or 'end-of-year sales' rather than Boxing Day sales per se. Most brands don't name their events Boxing Day sales since they usually run throughout late December and into early January. This is generally true of most retailers across the board, so don't feel constrained to just Boxing Day if you want to shop in December.

Alongside big-name retailers like Amazon, Currys, and John Lewis offering Black Friday-level discounts on TVs, laptops, headphones, and other tech goods, the end-of-year sales also had plenty of great options for home goods and fashion.

Is Boxing Day bigger than Black Friday in the UK?
Boxing Day has always been the traditional big 'end-of-year' sale in the UK but it's definitely been eclipsed by Black Friday in recent years - particularly if you're shopping for cheap electronics. Boxing Day remains strong for furniture, appliances, and other outlet items though, and is definitely still worth a look if you've got some post-Christmas pocket money to spend.
Is it better to buy on Boxing Day or Black Friday?
Black Friday tends to be the better option for big-ticket items like laptops or TVs, simply because it's the earlier sale. Retailers are more likely to list record-breaking prices on in-demand items in November in time for Christmas deliveries. If you have your eye on popular items - like Apple products - then it's likely you'll find more in-stock items ready for a price cut.
All that said, the Boxing Day sales aren't a write-off for cheap electronics. While the majority of discounts are likely to be re-runs of Black Friday, they'll still be (or close to) record-low prices. The Boxing Day and January sales are also a chance to clear out old warehouse stock for the big retailers, so you can expect a ton of fresh deals - and not just on Boxing Day staples like furniture or appliances.
