The best Black Friday deals 2024

Various tech products including a TV, PS5, phone, laptop, vacuum and more surrounding the TechRadar Black Friday deals logo

Black Friday deals are in full swing this week with dozens of sales now live at various retailers. There's no need to wait around until the big day later this week when offers as good as this are available now. I've searched through the sales at Amazon, Currys, Argos, John Lewis, Very and more to share the very best Black Friday deals right here.

I've spent almost a decade covering Black Friday at TechRadar and other technology sites and this has been the longest sales period yet after the event kicked off at many stores in early November. It's already been a busy month of hunting down the best Black Friday deals.

Some of the standout offers I've spotted this year include big savings of up to 70% on headphones, games consoles and vacuums, as well as lots of cheap air fryers, smart home tech, and health and beauty products starting at just £17.99.

I've combined my deals-hunting prowess with the vast expertise of the wider team who have tested thousands of products – from air fryers to vacuums and everything in between. I'm here to ensure you see only the products worth spending your money on to get a high-quality item at a great price – or a cheeky little treat for yourself.

With most sales now live, the offers should remain fairly static this week, but I'll still be here with further updates as I uncover more of the best Black Friday deals available this year.

Black Friday Deals 2024 - My Top Picks

Nothing Ear (a)
Nothing Ear (a): was £99 now £69 at Amazon

These have been some of the surprise earbuds of the year, scoring a sweet five stars in our Nothing Ear (a) review – and now you can get them for their lowest price ever. Considering the latest AirPods are still around £130, the fact that these boast massively superior sound and great active noise cancellation for far less than Apple's offering makes them a no-brainer.

Oral-B Pro 3
Oral-B Pro 3: was £100 now £35 at Amazon

This entry-level electric toothbrush is a solid pickup while it's less than half price in Amazon's Black Friday deals. It doesn't boast many impressive high-end features but it has the basic ones you really need to brush your teeth effectively and efficiently, including a two-minute timer and a visible pressure sensor. Plus, you get a handy carry case included for free.

Tefal Easy Fry Air Fryer
Tefal Easy Fry Air Fryer: was £179.99 now £99 at Amazon

One of my favourite budget air fryer deals ahead of Black Friday can be found at Amazon right now. This heavily reduced Tefal Easy Fry is a decently sized 8.3L model that's almost at the same price as the smaller 5-litre options I've seen at other retailers. We haven't personally reviewed this model at TechRadar but it's from a trusted brand and down to the lowest price I've seen all year.

Blink Outdoor
Blink Outdoor: was £89.99 now £35.99 at Amazon

Amazon has this wireless outdoor security camera down to a new record-low price for all as part of its Black Friday deals. You get 1080p HD video, motion detection, and the option of two-way talk through the Blink app. A two-year battery life also means you can have the camera set up and running for a good amount of time. Of course, there's Alexa compatibility too, so you can see through cameras using your Echo Show or other displays. You can also add up to three extra cameras to get an impressive bundle for the price if you want to get started with an easy-to-use home security system.

Apple MacBook Air 13-inch (M3, 2024)
Apple MacBook Air 13-inch (M3, 2024): was £999 now £849 at Amazon

Display - 13.6 inches
Processor - Apple M3
RAM - 16GB
Storage - 256GB
OS - macOS

Apple's latest version of the MacBook Air is our pick for the best laptop you can buy right now, and this price cut brings the brand-new version with 16GB of RAM down to a record-low price. Windows 11 laptops at this price point just can't compare, and this is an ideal offer if you're looking for a thin, light and dependable laptop to use for school and work.

Ninja Foodi StaySharp Knife Block
Ninja Foodi StaySharp Knife Block: was £169.99 now £109.99 at Amazon

I've got one of those AnySharp knife sharpeners to keep my kitchen knives up to scratch but if you want to go all the way with a convenient knife block with a build-in sharpener then this is a great price for a premium set from Ninja that matches the previous record-low. You'll never suffer from dull knives again with this extremely handy kitchen gadget, with its five-piece set of stainless knives and included paring scissors.

Eufy G50 Robot Vacuum
Eufy G50 Robot Vacuum: was £169.99 now £99.99 at Amazon

The G50 is very budget-friendly even at full price, but even more so with this Black Friday deal, which takes it under £100. A maximum suction of 4,000Pa is extremely good for the price, and the onboard bin is surprisingly generously sized at 600ml. For this price, expect the navigation to be basic, and geared towards whole-home cleans rather than anything more specific. Because there's no central raised puck, it'll be able to sneak under low furniture. We generally rate Eufy highly as a brand, although we haven't reviewed this specific model yet.

Toshiba 50-inch 4K Smart TV
Toshiba 50-inch 4K Smart TV: was £329 now £249 at Argos

This is a great price for a reasonable 50-inch TV from Toshiba. While it won't blow you away in terms of image quality and performance, it's up to the job as your everyday TV for watching shows and movies. Plus, it has easy access to all the popular streaming apps and the new Freely streaming service that lets you watch live BBC, ITV, Channel 4 and Channel 5 content through Wi-Fi rather than an aerial.

Lego Marvel's Spider-Man Advent Calendar
Lego Marvel's Spider-Man Advent Calendar: was £29.99 now £23.99 at Amazon

Swap a daily chocolate treat for a superhero-themed build or minifigure with this discount on the Lego Marvel's Spider-Man Advent Calendar. As well as the friendly neighbourhood webslinger, this set comes with a variety of other well-known characters from across the comics and films, as well as small building sets such as the Green Goblin's glider and a snow Spider-Ham.

Google Pixel 8 Pro
Google Pixel 8 Pro: was £999 now £499 at Amazon

Even though a newer version is available, the Google Pixel 8 Pro remains one of the best Android phones and a beautifully designed handset. We rated the gorgeous display 5/5 in our review, and the triple camera array on the back of the phone has class-leading features. The Tensor G3 chipset, designed by Google, keeps things running snappily, and 12GB of RAM is plenty for multitasking and AI. This deal brings a truly premium device to an incredibly low price for a flagship phone.

Sony WH-1000MX4 Wireless Headphones
Sony WH-1000MX4 Wireless Headphones: was £279.99 now £179 at Amazon

The Sony WH-1000MX4 are older now but they are still some of the best over-ear headphones ever. These wireless Sony cans package together top-notch audio, excellent comfort, and effective noise cancellation all at a reasonable price point that's about £70 less than the newer Sony XM5 that are only a minor upgrade. We still rate these as the best headphones for most people because you can find them at a price like this during major sales such as Black Friday.

Sony PlayStation 5
Sony PlayStation 5: was £479.99 now £399.99 at Amazon

The PS5 is the console I use the most and it's now down to a record-low price for Black Friday. This is just the console by itself and has everything you need to get started, including a controller and all cables. If you or the person you're buying for is a Fortnite fan then you can also get this PS5 and Fortnite Starter Pack Bundle for an extra £10 that comes with some in-game items and V-Bucks.

Karcher WV5 Plus Window Vac
Karcher WV5 Plus Window Vac: was £89.99 now £54.99 at Amazon

You can save a good amount on the impressive Karcher WV5 Plus right now at Amazon, bringing it down to the lowest price I've seen this year. The rechargeable lithium-ion battery boasts a 35-minute run time, which equals about 105m² on a single charge – or up to 75 windows. That’s more than enough to do a small flat several times over or a couple of trips around a whole home.

Shark Stratos Cordless Stick Vacuum Cleaner
Shark Stratos Cordless Stick Vacuum Cleaner: was £399.99 now £249.99 at Amazon

Here's a return to the record-low price for this impressive bundle featuring the appliance we awarded 4.5 stars out of five in our Shark Stratos Cordless Stick Vacuum Cleaner review. I can't praise these vacuums enough for the Anti Hair Wrap tech that's saved me so much time unclogging the brush roll compared to my old vacuum. Flexology makes it a good option for reaching under furniture and this upgraded Stratos version boasts anti-odour tech and CleanSense IQ that automatically adjusts suction power to tackle tougher areas of dirt. On top of all that, battery life is an impressive 60 minutes.

Lego Star Wars Millennium Falcon Building Set
Lego Star Wars Millennium Falcon Building Set: was £150 now £99.99 at Argos

If you've not got the space – or the bank balance – for the Ultimate Collector's version of the Lego Star Wars Millennium Falcon then this scaled-down version is a good compromise at 33% off. At 1,351 pieces it's a less intimidating build than the over £500 version, plus you get 7 minifigures and various interior details to construct.

DJI Mini 4K
DJI Mini 4K: was £269 now £209 at Amazon

DJI's latest entry-level drone builds on the Mini 2 SE by bringing 4K video to the table, whereas the Mini 2 SE only shoots in 2.7K. With this early Black Friday deal you get over 20% off what we think is hands-down the best 4K drone for the money. This standard combo includes DJI's basic remote controller and a single battery for a 31-minute flight time. If you're looking for your first drone equipped with a camera, the Mini 4K is a great starting point.

Apple MacBook Air 13-inch (M2, 2022)

Display - 13.6 inches
Processor - Apple M2
RAM - 8GB
Storage - 256GB
OS - macOS

As suspected, with Apple bumping up the base memory of the MacBook Air M2 and M3 to 16GB, retailers are cutting the prices of their existing stock of models with 8GB. While not the most powerful MacBook out there, this version with the M2 chip remains an excellent all-rounder, especially when it comes to day-to-day tasks like browsing the internet and writing up documents. For this new low price, you'll struggle to find a better value laptop than this, even if there's less memory than I'd like to see.

Microsoft Surface Pro 11
Microsoft Surface Pro 11: was £1,449 now £1,049 at Amazon

Display - 13-inch OLED
Processor - Snapdragon X Plus
RAM - 16GB
Storage - 256GB
OS - Windows 11

This is one of the best discounts I've seen on the new Surface Pro models and it's a tempting buy after we were super-impressed in our Surface Pro 11 review. This version boasts a gorgeous 13-inch PixelSense Flow OLED display at 2880 x 1920 resolution so it looks sharp and crisp with some vibrant colors and deep blacks. Meanwhile, the Snapdragon X Plus processor ensures excellent battery life and combines well with its many AI features to simplify your life. There’s also 16GB of memory and 256GB of SSD storage which will ensure speedy performance and enough storage space for your essential files and applications.

Apple MacBook Air 15-inch (M3, 2024)
Apple MacBook Air 15-inch (M3, 2024): was £1,299 now £1,149 at Amazon

Display - 15 inches
Processor - Apple M3
RAM - 16GB
Storage - 256GB
OS - macOS

If you fancy the larger model of Apple's latest MacBook Air, then Amazon has a decent £150 off. This is still quite pricey for a non-Pro MacBook, but the M3 is an excellent chip, and it comes with 16GB of unified memory and a 256GB SSD. For most people, this MacBook will last you for years to come, but you may want to bump the storage up to 512GB for some extra future-proofing.

Nespresso Vertuo Pop
Nespresso Vertuo Pop: was £99.99 now £54 at Amazon

This single-serve Nespresso machine comes in various fun colours and can brew a large variety of caffeinated beverages. Your order will also come with 30 free capsules, so you can start enjoying delicious coffee right away. Not bad for a cheap and easy-to-use machine for the infrequent or less-fussy coffee drinker.

De'Longhi Dedica Style
De'Longhi Dedica Style: was £229.99 now £149.99 at Amazon

This excellent manual unit earned a place in our roundup of the best espresso machines thanks to its compact design, and ability to take either coffee grounds or pods. Unlike most budget espresso machines, it also has a steam wand for milk frothing. It was reduced to £179 earlier in the week, but has now received a second price cut.

Nespresso Creatista Plus Coffee Machine
Nespresso Creatista Plus Coffee Machine: was £479.95 now £289.95 at Amazon

The Nespresso Creatista Plus is slick and sophisticated. It promises a three-second heat-up time and there's a steam arm for milk frothing (and getting creative with latte art). The touchscreen will guide you through a selection of coffee recipes, and they can all be personalised to your own preferences, too. It's very rare for this machine to drop below £300, so this Black Friday deal is well worth snapping up.

De'Longhi Dinamica Plus
De'Longhi Dinamica Plus: was £499 now £399 at markselectrical.co.uk

Marks Electrical has beaten Amazon's best price on this compact bean-to-cup coffee machine, which our reviewer gave four and a half stars out of five. It's much smaller and more affordable than a typical fully automatic espresso maker, and includes an auto milk frother for lattes and cappuccinos.

De'Longhi PrimaDonna Elite
De'Longhi PrimaDonna Elite: was £1,999 now £1,299 at John Lewis

With £700 off, this is easily the most exciting coffee maker deal I've seen this Black Friday. The PrimaDonna Elite is a fully automatic machine that puts 13 drink options at your fingertips, creates hot or cold smooth foamed milk automatically, and lets you create personal profiles and tailor your drinks via the Coffee Link mobile app.

Ninja Creami Ice Cream Maker
Ninja Creami Ice Cream Maker: was £199.99 now £141.99 at Amazon

Looking outside isn't making for inspiring ice cream weather but this Ninja Creami is still a tempting buy if you want a quick and convenient way to make all of your favourite frozen treats, milkshakes and sorbets at the touch of a button. This Black Friday deal is strong, as it's the first discount we've seen since July and reduced the popular appliance down to its lowest price yet.

Black Friday deals - vacuums

Samsung Jet 65 Pet Cordless Stick Vacuum
Samsung Jet 65 Pet Cordless Stick Vacuum: was £189 now £159 at John Lewis

This Samsung stick vac promises strong suction, up to an impressive 60 minutes of cleaning on a single charge, and an extra pet tool for getting your upholstery fluff-free. Dyson Big Ball Corded Cylinder Vacuum
Dyson Big Ball Corded Cylinder Vacuum: was £250 now £200 at Argos

Here's a solid £50 saving on the powerful and nimble Dyson Big Ball Corded Vacuum. The unique engineering means it can keep both hard floors and carpets clean, while the ball design makes it easy to navigate around the house. When we tested a previous version for our Dyson Cinetic Big Ball review we came away super-impressed with the suction power and easy of use.

Shark IZ300UK Cordless Vacuum Cleaner
Shark IZ300UK Cordless Vacuum Cleaner: was £399.99 now £229 at Currys

I've been harping on about the brilliance of my Shark vacuum for over a year now so I'm definitely going to shout out this over £150 discount on a capable and affordable model from the manufacturer. The Anti Hair Wrap tech has saved me countless hours unclogging the brush roll compared to my old vacuum, which has been an absolute lifesaver. It's also a good option for reaching under furniture thanks to its Flexology design, it has impressive suction and comes with several handy accessories.

Dyson V8 Advanced
Dyson V8 Advanced: was £329.99 now £229.99 at John Lewis

The V8 is an older Dyson, but still extremely capable, and ridiculously good value with this early Black Friday deal. We're not sure what the 'Advanced' bit refers to, because it looks identical to the regular V8, which you can read all about in our Dyson V8 review. This deal is also the cheapest V8, of any configuration, we've found.

Dyson price: £229.99
Currys price: £229.99

Dyson V10
Dyson V10: was £449 now £299 at Currys

The Dyson V10 is one of the manufacturer's more affordable cordless vacuum cleaners and it's an exceptional product that's more than capable of excellent performance. Not only is it extremely easy to use but it also provides decent suction even at the lowest of settings and it can last up to an hour on a single charge. It's not our favourite Dyson model (the latest versions are greatly improved), but the V10 is great value with this Black Friday deal at Currys.

Shark Detect with Auto-Empty Base
Shark Detect with Auto-Empty Base: was £449.99 now £349.99 at Shark UK

This seems to be an alternative version of the very highly rated Detect Pro vacuum, with very similar features, and it's had a £100 price cut for Black Friday. It can detect dirt of the floor and adjust suction in response, as well as showing you when the floor is clean via color-change lights on the motor section. There's a charge base that'll also automatically empty the dust cup when the vacuum is docked, saving effort and meaning there's less chance for the dirt and allergens to escape back into the air.

Dyson V12 Slim Absolute
Dyson V12 Slim Absolute: was £549.99 now £399.99 at dyson.co.uk

This is a more streamlined, lightweight alternative to Dyson's flagship models. While it's a little less powerful than the very newest flagships (but still plenty good enough for most people's needs), otherwise it packs most of the same tech, including auto-adjustment of suction based on how dirty the floor is. With £150 off, it's great value this Black Friday.

Dyson Gen5detect
Dyson Gen5detect: was £749.99 now £599.99 at dyson.co.uk

There's £150 off the top-of-the-range Gen5detect cordless vacuum for Black Friday. This vacuum is ultra powerful and boasts the longest battery life you'll find anywhere, with up to 70 minutes on a single charge. You'll also get automatic suction adjustment based on dirt levels, and a bright laser than means you'll never miss a spot on your hard floors.

We generally rate Eufy highly as a brand, although we haven't reviewed this specific model yet.

iRobot Roomba J7
iRobot Roomba J7: was £599 now £299 at Amazon

The J7 is a little older, which means deals crop up fairly regularly, but this is lowest price we've ever seen. It's a straightforward but effective option, with object identification and avoidance, as well as the dual rubber rollers that are so good at agitating dirt and gripping hair. This model just comes with a regular charge dock. If you want a dock that empties the bin, look for the J7 Plus. And for a version that also mops, it's the Combo J7.

iRobot Roomba Combo J9 Plus
iRobot Roomba Combo J9 Plus: was £1,050 now £599 at Amazon

The Combo J9 is one of iRobot's newest, most advanced models, and the discount just increased to £450 off. It offers double the suction power and double the scrubbing power of most of the rest of the range. It can be set to clean the dirtiest rooms in the house first, and the retractible mop pad shifts to sit on top of the bot when not in use. This version has a self-empty base, which not only empties the dust cup when it's full, but automatically dispenses cleaning solution for mopping.

Eufy L60 Hybrid
Eufy L60 Hybrid: was £400 now £299 at Argos

Under £300 is an outstanding price for this hybrid Eufy robot vacuum and mop. It delivers a very good 5,000Pa of suction, comes with a dock into which the bot will auto-empty dust, and it recognises when it's moving from hard floor to carpet and bumps up suction in response. If you have a smaller home, you could consider the version without a base.

Shark PowerDetect
Shark PowerDetect: was £499.99 now £399.99 at Currys

This is the vacuum-only version of Shark's new robot vacuum line, and it's had a decent £100 price cut for Black Friday. It includes some cool (and useful) detection features, including the ability to tell how dirty the floor is, what kind of floor it is, and whether it's near the edge of a room, and adjust suction accordingly. It'll also bump itself up over particularly tall thresholds as required.

Black Friday deals - Smart home

Amazon Echo Pop
Amazon Echo Pop: was £44.99 now £18.99 at Amazon

Looking to buy a smart speaker for a small space? The Amazon Black Friday sale includes the Echo Pop for just £18.99. This is the cheapest Echo device you can buy right now and one that we found was a fun, if somewhat basic, option in our Echo Pop review. For the money, however, you get a compact smart speaker with Alexa built-in, so you can play music, ask questions, and check the weather completely hands-free. Note that this one briefly fell to £17.99 earlier but we'd still say it's a decent buy at £19.

Amazon Echo Dot (5th Gen)
Amazon Echo Dot (5th Gen): was £54.99 now £22.99 at Amazon

Amazon's best-selling Echo Dot is down to £23 for Black Friday and that's just £1 more than the previous record-low price. The Echo Dot offers an improved audio experience, plus a new temperature sensor and all the handy features from Alexa, like playing music, answering questions, and checking the weather completely hands-free. As far as a cheap and cheerful smart speaker goes, it's one of the better options out there.

Amazon Echo Spot
Amazon Echo Spot: was £79.99 now £49.99 at Amazon

Amazon brought back a brand-new version of its Echo Spot smart clock earlier this year and it's slashed £30 off the price for the Black Friday, matching the price that was available to Prime members back in July. As well as a time display and wake-up alerts, this compact bit of kit can play music, check the weather and control other smart devices throughout your home.

Ring Battery Video Doorbell
Ring Battery Video Doorbell: was £99.99 now £59 at Amazon

The latest wireless Ring Doorbell has been discounted for only the second time this year, with Amazon slashing £40 from its starting price. We've tested more advanced versions and have been impressed with the video quality and night vision colour, but it's a shame that some of this device's value is usable exclusively with a Ring Protect subscription. However, if you're fine with paying for a subscription or already using a Ring-based home security system, it'll be worth the cost.

Ring Indoor Camera (2nd Gen)
Ring Indoor Camera (2nd Gen): was £49.99 now £24 at Amazon

This half-price offer gets you an easy-to-install Ring Indoor Camera for a new low price. The Alexa-enabled plug-in security camera features motion-activated notifications, 1080p HD video support, a privacy cover and two-way talk to allow you to see, hear and communicate throughout your home.

Blink Video Doorbell
Blink Video Doorbell: was £59.99 now £29.99 at Amazon

Amazon's Black Friday sale has the top-rated Blink Video Doorbell on sale for £29.99 – which matches the record-low price. The Blink Video Doorbell is a cheap and easy way to get alerts to your phone when motion is detected or when guests are at your door. It features infrared night video, long-lasting battery life, compatibility with other smart devices and displays, and two-way audio to speak to visitors.

Blink Mini 2
Blink Mini 2: was £34.99 now £17.49 at Amazon

The new Blink Mini 2 has a couple of nice upgrades compared to the previous model, including an in-built spotlight, night view in colour support and the option to use it outdoors with the weather-resistant adaptor. Aside from that it offers the same raft of security features such as motion detection, two-way audio and smartphone app integration. This offer is a new record-low price that beats the price available for Prime members back in July.

Blink Outdoor 4
Blink Outdoor 4: was £89.99 now £35.99 at Amazon

Amazon has this wireless outdoor security camera down to a new record-low price for all as part of its Black Friday deals. You get 1080p HD video, motion detection, and the option of two-way talk through the Blink app. A two-year battery life also means you can have the camera set up and running for a good amount of time. Of course, there's Alexa compatibility too, so you can see through cameras using your Echo Show or other displays. You can also add up to three extra cameras to get an impressive bundle for the price if you want to get started with an easy-to-use home security system.

Amazon Fire TV Stick HD
Amazon Fire TV Stick HD: was £39.99 now £27.99 at Amazon

Amazon's new version of the standard Fire TV Stick is now the cheapest it's ever been making this is an affordable way to add or upgrade the essential smart features in your TV, including access to streaming apps in HD, Alexa voice controls and the ability to control other smart home devices. As we said in our Fire TV Stick review, this is a decent option if you're looking to upgrade your streaming setup on the cheap.

Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K
Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K: was £59.99 now £34.99 at Amazon

As the name suggests, the Fire TV Stick 4K streams shows and movies on your TV in ultra-high 4K resolution. It's a good offer for a solid streaming stick that comes with access to all the major apps and supports voice controls through Alexa. Be aware, though, that the previous generation version has been as low as £22.99 before - but that was almost three years ago. Chances of seeing that price again are slim as this discount seems to be the new normal for the upgrade streaming stick and the old version has been discontinued from sale.

Amazon Echo Show 5
Amazon Echo Show 5: was £89.99 now £44.99 at Amazon

If you're looking for a deal on a smart home display, then the cheapest offer at Amazon is the latest generation Echo Show 5 on sale for £44.99. That's a return to the record low price so it's a strong deal for a straightforward smart home display that's packed with features and includes the Amazon Alexa assistant for easy voice controls to get alerts, weather updates, play music, watch videos, and more.

Amazon Echo Show 8

Remote controls, schedules, and more are all handled in the free smartphone app, plus they are compatible with Google Home and Alexa for voice control. We've highly praised previous TP-Link smart plugs here at TechRadar, so it's a brand we trust.

Black Friday deals - Kindles

Amazon Kindle
Amazon Kindle: was £94.99 now £79.99 at Amazon

The newest version of the standard Kindle is now on sale for the first time ever as part of the Black Friday sale at Amazon. It's a basic ereader, but it still boasts a six-week battery life and space for thousands of books. Given it's £45 cheaper than the Paperwhite, this is clearly a better pick for the infrequent reader after a more budget-friendly option. It's still a solid option, though, with a 6-inch glare-free display, fast page turns and an adjustable front light to help you read in all environments.

Amazon Kindle Paperwhite
Amazon Kindle Paperwhite: was £159.99 now £124.99 at Amazon

Amazon's all-new Kindle Paperwhite is on sale for the first time since launch this Black Friday. Previous versions have been reduced to under £100 in the past, but it's unlikely we'll ever see an offer like that again on this upgraded version. We found in our Kindle Paperwhite review that it's packed with features to suit all avid readers, including an improved 12-week battery life, a larger glare-free 7-inch screen, adjustable warm light and storage space for thousands of books.

Amazon Kindle Scribe
Amazon Kindle Scribe: was £329.99 now £214.99 at Amazon

The Kindle Scribe has been discounted a handful of times now since its release and this is the cheapest price I've seen so far. It combines some of the best features of the Kindle Paperwhite, such as the glare-free and auto-adjusting display, along with the option to take notes, comment on documents, and doodle using the included stylus pen. Our Kindle Scribe review was down on some missing features that have been added in recent updates, so now this is good value for a multi-functional device.

Black Friday deals - Headphones

Sony WH-CH520
Sony WH-CH520: was £45 now £31.99 at Amazon

Even when they're at their standard price of £45, the Sony WH-CH520 are a bargain. Now, with an extra £10 off for Black Friday they are unbeatable value for money. These cans supply super-long-lasting battery life, impressive audio quality and companion app support for customizing EQ. Sure, you're not going to get fancy features like active noise cancellation here, but that's to be expected at a price like this.

Bose QuietComfort Headphones
Bose QuietComfort Headphones: was £319.95 now £176 at Amazon

If you want more affordable over-ears that don't compromise on quality then consider these Bose QuietComfort Headphones while they are down to a record-low price at Amazon for Black Friday. As with the Ultra version, you get impressive noise cancellation, top-tier audio quality and 24 hours of battery life but in a much more affordable package.

Sennheiser Momentum 4
Sennheiser Momentum 4: was £309.99 now £179.99 at Amazon

Away from the big names like Sony, Bose and Beats, Sennheiser is out here quietly making some of its own excellent over-ear headphones. Just how good are they? We scored them these full five stars in our Sennheiser Momentum 4 review for their terrific sound quality, noise cancellation and impressive battery life. In terms of nailing all of these features for the price they can't be beaten.

Sony WH-1000XM5 Wireless Headphones
Sony WH-1000XM5 Wireless Headphones: was £379 now £249.99 at Amazon

The XM5 are still the newest and best in Sony's class-leading wireless over-ear lineup. The older XM4 are outstanding, so it'll come as little surprise to know that these are also incredibly hard to beat – especially with a £130 discount. They don't fold up like the XM4, but they're still a comfortable, smart, great-sounding pair of headphones that are highly effective at blocking outside noise. Saving the extra £70 and getting the XM4 is still a viable option, though, if you aren't fussed about the latest tech and want to save some cash.

Bose QuietComfort Ultra Headphones
Bose QuietComfort Ultra Headphones: was £449.95 now £299 at Amazon

This is a new low price for the fantastic Bose QuestComfort Ultra Headphones and it's a great deal considering that there's a clear step up in sound compared to other premium cans. Superbly detailed and energetic sound meets the best noise cancellation you can get right now, in a light and comfortable design.

Sony WF-C510
Sony WF-C510: was £54.99 now £44.49 at Amazon

We already called the new version of these popular cheap earbuds 'great value for money' in our Sony WF-C510 review – and that was at the full asking price. At this new record-low price, I think they're an absolute steal and then some. Yes, 20 hours of battery can be bettered – but 10 hours from the buds alone certainly can't at this new price point. They're also light and comfortable, providing an exciting, musical sound that also beats the latest AirPods.

Samsung Galaxy Buds3
Samsung Galaxy Buds3: was £159 now £99 at Amazon

An excellent price for earbuds with active noise cancellation, the Samsung Galaxy Buds3 offer 24-bit studio-quality sound with adaptive EQ controlled by Galaxy AI. The battery life could be a little better at five hours – or an extra 19 hours through the charging case – but its useful features right down to being able to translate languages in real-time prove super useful.

Samsung Galaxy Buds3 Pro
Samsung Galaxy Buds3 Pro: was £219 now £159 at Amazon

The Samsung Galaxy Buds 3 Pro are the latest earbuds from the manufacturer and you can now get them for a record-low price for Black Friday. We awarded them four stars in our Samsung Galaxy Buds3 Pro review, praising the refinement over the previous model with AirPods-like ear sticks, active noise cancellation, an 11mm driver, and AI-powered features like a voice-call booster and a translation tool – providing you have a modern Samsung phone. They look and feel good in your ears, too, with up to five hours of battery life with ANC on so they’re good for your commute or workout.

Apple AirPods Pro 2
Apple AirPods Pro 2: was £229 now £179 at Amazon

This beats the discount we saw last year by £20 on the latest generation Apple AirPods Pro 2 with USB-C support. As well as that more universal connection option, Apple's newest premium earbuds come with sought-after improvements to audio quality and noise cancellation. In our AirPods Pro 2 review, we said that these upgrades ensured they were a big step up compared to the originals and helped them truly compete with other high-end buds.

Bose QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds
Bose QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds: was £299.95 now £199 at Amazon

The Bose QuietComfort Ultra earbuds are some of the manufacturer's best in terms of audio quality and noise cancellation – and they're not down to a record-low price for Black Friday. The Spatial Audio also makes the listening experience more immersive than ever with the option to swap between listening modes, depending on if you want to lose yourself in audio or stay alert.

Black Friday deals - Apple

Apple MacBook Air 13-inch (M2, 2022)
Apple MacBook Air 13-inch (M2, 2022): was £996 now £849 at Currys

It's great value for money at this price if you need an all-around tablet. We said Apple's latest base-level tablet is a big upgrade over the previous generation model in our iPad 10.9 review, with a larger Liquid Retina display, a new A14 Bionic chip, improved cameras, USB-C support, and a sleek design.

This updated Sonos Era 100 recently knocked the classic Sonos One off the top spot to become our favourite wireless speaker. It offers terrific audio quality for its small size with a rich soundscape and strong bass. It's also versatile so you can connect to it via Bluetooth, Wi-Fi or an aux cable and fire music to it from multiple streaming services. The hefty starting price was the only off-putting factor in our Sonos Era 100 review, but this record-low makes it a great buy as an all-around home speaker.

Sonos Era 300
Sonos Era 300: was £449 now £334.50 at Amazon

This is the best discount yet on the imposing Sonos Era 300 speaker – and a considerable one too. It's the company's first speaker to support wide and expansive full-room audio through Dolby Atmos, which is only necessary for the most enthusiastic audiophiles. Still, it offers an impressive soundscape, as we found in our Sonos Era 300 review, so it's worth the investment at this deal price if that's you. However, most will be happy with the cheaper and greater value Era 100.

Sonos Move 2
Sonos Move 2: was £449 now £340.50 at Amazon

If portability is an important aspect of your speaker then Amazon has taken over £100 off the Sonos Move 2 for Black Friday. We awarded this four stars in our Sonos Move 2 review, praising the energic sound and punchy bass. Even though it's designed to be taken on the go, it is quite bulky so not easy to slip into a bag or backpack like most portable speakers, but it trumps those cheaper and smaller options when it comes to sound quality and battery life.

If you want to go for the more modern version of Apple's entry-level tablet then this iPad 10.9 is now at its cheapest price yet for Black Friday.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE
Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE: was £449 now £369 at Currys

A whole £80 off a budget-centric tablet isn't to be sniffed at, particularly as the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE has 128GB of storage and a sizeable 10.9-inch screen with a resolution of 2304 x 1440 so it looks great for streaming shows on the move or simply sketching out some fun designs via the S Pen stylus which is included. Speedy and lightweight too, it’s an easy one to recommend if you like the Samsung way of doing things.

Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus

Sony PlayStation 5
Sony PlayStation 5: was £479.99 now £399.99 at Amazon

The PS5 is the console I use the most and it's now down to a record-low price for Black Friday. This is just the console by itself and has everything you need to get started, including a controller and all cables. If you or the person you're buying for is a Fortnite fan then you can also get this PS5 and Fortnite Starter Pack Bundle for an extra £10 that comes with some in-game items and V-Bucks.

Sony PlayStation 5 Pro

What's more, if you have an existing PS5 to trade in, you can get up to another £260 off, bringing the price to as little as £399. The upgraded PS5 Pro boasts greater power over the base console, enabling select games to look better and run smoother. Plus, there's 2TB of storage included, which is double the amount in the standard PS5. Just know, though, that this console doesn't have a disc drive so you'll need to buy all of your games digitally on the PS Store – or buy the PS5 Disc Drive accessory and attach it to the console to play physical games.

Sony PlayStation 5 Digital Edition
Sony PlayStation 5 Digital Edition: was £389.99 now £309 at Amazon

The PlayStation 5 Digital Edition offers the same level of power and performance as the standard console, but it ships without a disc drive so you have to buy and play all of your games digitally. If that's not an issue, you get the benefit of paying £90 less for the console this Black Friday. If further down the line you do want to play physical copies of games then you can buy the disc drive add-on, but stock is very limited at the moment.

Sony PSVR 2 Horizon Call of the Mountain Bundle
Sony PSVR 2 Horizon Call of the Mountain Bundle: was £569.99 now £349.99 at PlayStation Direct UK

PSVR 2 is an incredible VR headset for PS5, and it's since been updated to work on PC. This bundle featuring Horizon: Call of the Mountain is the same price as the headset by itself at a new record-low price, so this is the version I'd recommend if you want the most bang for your buck. Especially as the accompanying game is a killer app for PSVR 2.

Sony PS5 DualSense Controller
Sony PS5 DualSense Controller: was £59.99 now £39.99 at Amazon

PS5 DualSense controllers in various colours are up to £20 for Black Friday. It's an ideal time to splash the cash or a bold new style that matches your personality or if your previous pad has fallen foul of stick drift or a failing battery – both of which have happened separately to my two current controllers. Looks like I'll be making the most of this offer, then.

Microsoft Xbox Series S
Microsoft Xbox Series S: was £249.99 now £199.99 at Amazon

There's a solid £50 saving available on the wonderful little Xbox Series S at Amazon. Microsoft's cheaper current generation console is not as powerful as the Xbox Series X, but with this deal, it's over £250 cheaper and still capable of playing all the same games in full HD. Pair this with an Xbox Game Pass subscription and it's a good option if you want to game on a budget.

Microsoft Xbox Wireless Controller
Microsoft Xbox Wireless Controller: was £54.99 now £38.99 at Amazon

Multiple colour variants of the latest Xbox Wireless Controller are now available from £38.99 at Amazon for Black Friday. This well-loved and easy-to-use gamepad is compatible with most Bluetooth-enabled devices, such as Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S consoles, PCs, tablets, and mobile phones. This is a good price to bite on as I've only seen these controllers for £4 less in the past.

It features the slimmed-down Nintendo Switch Lite console (in either turquoise or coral) a copy of Animal Crossing New Horizons and a 12-month Switch Online membership – all for under £200.

EA Sports FC 25
EA Sports FC 25: was £69.99 now £41.99 at Amazon

Another year, another update to EA's all-consuming football sim – and it's perhaps just as unsurprising to see EA FC 25 get its first significant discount for Black Friday. In many respects its a reskin of last year's game, but with just enough changes and graphical tweaks to make it worthwhile. And who else would be on the cover but Jude Bellingham?

Metaphor ReFantazio
Metaphor ReFantazio: was £49.99 now £34.49 at Argos

Atlus has knocked it out of the park once again with Metaphor ReFantazio: a deep and detailed fantastical RPG that mixes tight turn-based combat, grand storytelling, fascinating characters and slick presentation all into a single package. With anywhere between 60 - 100 hours of gameplay on offer the value for money here is undeniable, making this a must-buy for JRPG fans.

Stellar Blade
Stellar Blade: was £69.99 now £44.95 at Amazon

Stellar Blade was one of this year's biggest PS5 exclusive games and it's now down to its cheapest price yet for Black Friday. The debut game from Korean developer Shift Up is a stylish and flashy sci-fi action RPG with tight combat and a fascinating post-apocalyptic world to explore. Comparisons to Nier Automata are easy to make and it borrows a lot of elements of the Dark Souls series, but this is still a solid game in its own right.

Oral-B iO5
Oral-B iO5: was £280 now £89.99 at Amazon

This Oral-B iO5 model sits between the reasonably-priced and eye-wateringly expensive electric toothbrushes from the manufacturer, making it a difficult one to easily recommend. Most of us will be happy with the cheaper Pro 3 as it works fine and has all the useful safety features you need, while enthusiasts will appreciate the more advanced smart features in the pricier iO8. This one offers an OK middle-ground, with some basic brush tracking in a connected app to help you improve and refine your teeth-cleaning habits.

Renpho Massage Gun

The detachable handle is a nice addition, too, so you can easily reach your back.

Dyson Supersonic
Dyson Supersonic: was £329 now £249.99 at Currys

Our Dyson Supersonic review called this the 'best hair dryer on the market' for its quirky design and impressive performance. The main issue? The price - which makes this nifty £50 discount in the Curry's Black Friday sale so compelling. It's still a little on the pricey side, sure, but Dyson builds its products to last - and you'll almost certainly get great results here.

Black Friday deals - Phones

Apple iPhone 15 Pro
Apple iPhone 15 Pro: was £999 now £849 at Argos

Argos has slashed the device-only price of the excellent iPhone 15 Pro from £999 to a record-low £849 ahead of Black Friday. If you're not yet convinced by the iPhone 16 and still fancy taking Apple Intelligence for a spin, this is a great-value handset that'll remain supported with updates until at least 2028. In fact, I'd argue that this is the biggest Black Friday phone bargain of 2024.

Apple iPhone 15 Pro Max
Apple iPhone 15 Pro Max: was £1,199 now £1,049 at Amazon

For Apple's larger 15 Pro model, Amazon has the deal-based bragging rights. The mega-retailer is currently offering the 256GB model for just £1,049, and the bigger 512GB model for an impressively low £1,149. Neither of these iPhone 15 Pro Max prices are likely to be beaten on Black Friday itself.

Apple iPhone 13
Apple iPhone 13: was £499 now £449 at Argos

Despite its discontinuation, Argos is still stocking the 128GB iPhone 13 in black or white. £449 is an exceptional price on an iPhone that is, for all intents and purposes, the same device as the iPhone 14, and it'll continue to be supported by Apple with software updates until at least 2026 (likely 2027). The iPhone 13 is also currently still available at Amazon, albeit in more limited color and storage configurations.

Samsung Galaxy A35
Samsung Galaxy A35: was £389 now £289 at Amazon

With its capable Exynos 1380 chipset, bright 6.6-inch display and hefty 5,000mAh battery, the Galaxy A35 is a great phone for those who want to save money and have no need of the advanced bells and whistles in the pricier flagship handsets. You do have to have a Tesco Clubcard to get the offer, but that's free to sign up for if you aren't already a member.

Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra
Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra: was £1,249 now £999 at Samsung UK

Black Friday deals - Cameras

Fujifilm Instax Mini 40 Instant Camera
Fujifilm Instax Mini 40 Instant Camera: was £99.99 now £84.99 at Argos

It feels like retro instant cameras have been all the rage lately and if you've been tempted to try one out for yourself then here's a small but welcome saving on the Instax Mini 40. The popular device scored four stars in our Fujifilm Instax Mini 40 review, we liked its retro style, ease of use and affordable film, although it is pricier than many other instant cameras. Still, if it's more about the aesthetics and the vibes then this is a slick and capable snapper.

Sony A7 IV
Sony A7 IV: was £2,399 now £1,699 at Jessops

With £300 cashback from Sony plus a £400 price cut, the A7 IV drops to £1,699 at Jessops, which is much lower than the current sale price at Amazon which stands at £1,929 – last year's best price was £2,099 and this current Jessops deal is the lowest-ever price for the A7 IV. Not bad for a camera that we rated as the best mirrorless camera for most people until it was recently dethroned by the new Nikon Z6 III. Sony's A7 IV might not pack the same video performance as the Z6 III, but it has a higher-resolution 33MP full-frame sensor plus excellent autofocus. It's due an update, but there's no word of one yet, and so the A7 IV remains the latest in the line of Sony's popular all-rounder mirrorless camera. Arguably an even better deal is the A7 IV with superb FE 24-105mm F4 G OSS lens for £2,299 also at Jessops – that's £900 off.

Canon EOS R8
Canon EOS R8: was £1,699 now £1,299 at Jessops

Get one of Canon's best budget full-frame cameras for even less today thanks to a massive £400 cashback offer from leading retailers, including Jessops and John Lewis. This deal gives you a 24.2 MP full-frame CMOS image sensor and an uncropped 4K movie feature that runs right up to 60 fps. The 3-inch LCD touchscreen is also vari-angle so you can use it in whatever situation you find yourself in. There's a raft of other Canon cashback savings to be had – another standout deal is for the pricier full-frame Canon EOS R6 Mark II for just $1,999 at Jessops (was £2,779).

Nikon Z6 III
Nikon Z6 III: was £2,699 now £2,299 at Jessops

Nikon's Winter Savings, which are available until January 13 2025, include the first-ever discount we've seen on the stunning Nikon Z6 III body, a camera that I am personally considering upgrading to as a Z6 II owner. This fantastic mirrorless camera was just released a few months ago and features an impressive 24.5MP full-frame partially stacked sensor with vastly improved autofocus and 6K video up to 60fps. Our Nikon Z6 III review awarded this excellent camera a full five stars out of five, which feels like excellent value now with £400 at Jessops and a record-low price. One of the top Black Friday deals gets a glowing recommendation from me and is available for this price at Wex Photo Video, Park Cameras and other leading retailers.

DJI Osmo Action 4
DJI Osmo Action 4: was £379 now £199 at Amazon

Here's a massive discount and the lowest-ever price for this rugged action camera that was released just year ago, and only just upgraded by the Osmo Action 5 Pro. Rest assured, you're still getting some of the best action cameras available, boasting features such as 4K video with excellent stabilization. It's also an improvement on the Action 3 thanks to a 1/1.3-inch larger sensor that immediately results in better low-light performance. You'll also get a camera that is waterproof down to 18m and a handy magnetic mounting system. We're big fans of DJI's Osmo Action series – arguably GoPro's biggest challenger. Don't fall for the severity of the discount – the Osmo Action 4 original price is listed lower at £289, but rest assured that this is easily the lowest price ever for one of my favorite action cameras. Need more convincing? The Osmo Action 4 convinced me action cams are better than mirrorless for vacations.

GoPro Hero 13 Black + Accessories Bundle
GoPro Hero 13 Black + Accessories Bundle: was £449.99 now £349.99 at Currys

The stand out deal for a GoPro camera so far in the UK has to be the Hero 13 Black + Accessories Bundle for £349.99. The bundle value is £500, although it's a saver bundle with a list price is £449.99, meaning technically a discount of £100. If you coming in new to the GoPro ecosystem and need the extra accessories for the Hero 13 Black, this is hands down the best deal. Frankly even if you have a prior model, but are still set on this latest flagship, the accessories bundle is probably best because you can't use your old batteries in a Hero 13 Black. There are also bundles with GoPro's new Lens Mods, about which you can find out more in our in-depth review, link above.

DJI Mini 4K
DJI Mini 4K: was £269 now £209 at Amazon

With this early Black Friday deal you get over 20% off what we think is hands-down the best 4K drone for the money. This standard combo includes DJI's basic remote controller and a single battery for a 31-minute flight time. If you're looking for your first drone equipped with a camera, the Mini 4K is a great starting point.

When is Black Friday 2024?

This year's Black Friday falls on November 29. It always lands on the first Friday after Thanksgiving in the US.

While that is a key date to remember, Black Friday deals are available much earlier than that. As we've already seen, retailers have launched sales from the start of November. Basically, from this point, sales will run all the way through until mid-December to capture any last-minute Christmas shopping.

Retailers have moved to an extended sales period in the last couple of years to stretch out the shopping season and allow you to spread your purchases rather than cramming them into a single 24-hour window. Plus, many include a promise that prices won't get cheaper throughout November – and if they do, you can get a refund for the difference.

It's been a nice change as it means less frantic scrubbing to find deals, more time to find the best bargains and peace of mind that when you shop you won't be punished for buying at the wrong time.

When do Black Friday deals start?

Black Friday deals start well before the day itself. The sales period has got longer and longer over the years with many offers now live from October. The majority, however, will be live from early November.

Amazon led the way with its second Amazon Prime Day event on October 8 - 9. This sale served as an early preview of the retailer's Black Friday deals for this year but you needed to be an Amazon Prime member to purchase the majority of them.

A couple of other retailers such as Currys and Argos followed suit during that week with their own events, but they definitely weren't as big as they will be for Black Friday.

Now that we've reached November that's when the sales have seriously ramped up following the launch of the Black Friday sales at Argos, Currys, John Lewis, Very, and more. Places such as Amazon are likely to follow suit in the coming days, though nothing has been announced yet.

After that, pay close attention to exactly one week before Black Friday on November 22 as that's when retailers unleash the full extent of their sales. This is the time to buy if you've been holding out for weeks as prices are very unlikely to drop any further from this point onward.

Where to find the best Black Friday deals

With so many retailers to choose from over Black Friday, it's not always easy to find the best deals. We've found the stores below often feature some of the top offers during the sales period in specific areas. We'll search through them and share the best ones when Black Friday starts but you can also take a look yourself if you just want to browse.

Amazon: often cheapest for almost everything
Argos: great for tech, furniture and toys
AO: best offers on major appliances
Currys: big savings on TVs, laptops and appliances
John Lewis: deals on furniture, fashion and tech
Smyths Toys: vast selection of toys, electronics & gadgets
Very: fashion, furniture and tech offers

What deals to expect in Black Friday 2024

We've got a good idea of what to expect from Black Friday as we've covered the sales for over ten years here at TechRadar. Ultimately, it doesn't change too much each time, with the same types of products on offer and all the usual retailer sales to choose from if you're looking to shop.

Dropping back into the Adobe Analytics data shows that electronics, apparel and toys all received their biggest discounts of the year during Black Friday.

So, it's still one of the best times to make that big-ticket purchase you've been waiting on for the whole year. Whether it's a brand-new TV, a popular kitchen appliance, a powerful laptop, a handy tablet or a slick smartwatch, then Black Friday generally has some of the lowest prices we've seen all year.

Pay particularly close attention to some of last year's best-selling items as you should be able to get them for their cheapest prices over Black Friday as retailers clear space for new and upcoming models. Just because they're slightly older doesn't mean you should pass them up, especially if it's a big discount on some of our best-reviewed products.

Black Friday is also an important time for smaller purchases and subscription offers. Lots of great smart home tech such as video doorbells, cameras and streaming sticks all fall to new low prices during the end-of-year sales. You can pair them with discounted subscription fees where needed (often for new and returning members).

And that's not counting all the other product categories that are featured and independent retailers that get involved for Black Friday. Practically everyone and everything is involved. That can make it hard to separate the good deals from all the noise, but you can stick with us as we share all the best offers right here when the time comes.

How big is Black Friday?

Black Friday is a massive sales event – the biggest of the entire year. This November's one is bound to be a massive event again, with Adobe Analytics reporting that £24.4 billion was spent last year over the Black Friday period from October to the end of December – an increase of 3.7% compared to last year.

Even with multiple other sales events and regular discounts throughout the year, it's clearly still the year's biggest shopping period. I'm here to help you make the most of it, point you towards the best Black Friday deals and save you some cash on your shopping list.
